As per usual Jellycat cuddly are always a good bet for a gift for a baby. Easy for baby to hold and often become a child's security item. What could be better for a baby boy than a Jellycat monkey.

This was bought for my grandson who was going into hospital for grommets. He is 4. He loved it, even the monkey had a name band. It is really well made and so soft. As usual the service in John Lewis is superb.He carried it around and takes it to bed with him. It has a happy face. Highly recommend.
My one year old absolutely loves monkeys. She has all sorts of them, but this one is her favourite. Ever since we bought him for her, he goes everywhere with her. Super soft, easy to wash and really cute!
My 2-year old granddaughter loves chanting the "no more monkeys jumping on the bed" chant, so I thought this sweet little monkey would be a nice playtoy for her. She'll be able to make the monkey jump on the bed, or just hug it and snuggle as needed. He has a lovely little smile and is very soft.
Monkey is our favorite. My son doesn’t leave home without him. He is absolutely the softest and best to love. We can wash him and dry him easily to keep him clean when needed or when he has accidents. We just recently purchased the book to go with him and love that too.
I bought this for my daughter as she adores her slightly bigger monkey ('Monkey') of the same style. This littler version ('Missy') is adorable, extremely cuddly and so soft : perfect to snuggle with! I would highly recommend Jellycat cuddly toys everytime. Washes well too.
Now my daughters and their friends are having babies I have bought a number of the Jellycat Bashful Monkey as presents. It comes in two sizes and I especially like the tiny oneIt's the right size for a baby to relate to. They can see the whole face and notice its smile. Smiles help a baby feel safe.It is small enough for a baby to grip in a tiny hand so they can take ownership of it.The fabric is very soft to touch which babies love. It also doesn't disintegrate in any way so no worries about the baby getting fluff in its mouth and choking.And its just cute! Also....if it gets lost it is easy to replace with the exact same, so no tears. I'll be buying it again next time a baby comes into my life.
