Everyone on here crying about Jim Beam being terrible are snobs that are overlooking the fact that this is a low cost, introductory level bourbon. It’s purpose is to serve as a starting point for those who have never tried bourbon, as it is very mellow in all aspects. It will mix well in any cocktail for this same reason. Those of you complaining need to get off your high horse; obviously there are much better options, But for what it’s worth, it does the job. This is the bourbon that you buy as a round of shots at the bar, not what I’m going to pour neat and sip on at home. Hank Jr. sang about Jim Beam in many of his songs, and if that doesn’t count for something I’ll be damned. Overall a fantastic cheap bourbon.

Whiskey sour ingredients The whiskey sour (aka bourbon sour) is a classic cocktail that’s on the list of International Bartender Association’s IBA official cocktails. This means it has an official definition. Our version stays true to the original definition, with a few tweaks. The ingredients for making a whiskey sour recipe are simple! Here’s what you’ll need for this classic sour cocktail: Bourbon whiskey: as high quality as possible (you can use any whiskey, but we prefer the flavor of bourbon) Lemon juice Maple syrup or simple syrup Garnish of orange peel and cocktail cherry

Fall is my favorite time of year and I am putting together my Fall picks to have this season. Some of the recipes call and select Jim Beam as the cook's best to use for meats, desserts, marinades and dressings. Of course it's good for a splash if your guests or family are driving you crazy during the process! :-)

BOURBON BLOOD, JIM! DANIEL'S DOESN'T KNOW JACK!
13 May 2023

I started drinking this in the 1970' when my Grandmother offered me one! She died at 102, in 2005, but had her last drink before my mom put her in a home in the 1990's, but I would "occasionally" sneak in those airline bottles! She was very smart and a Good shot with a rifle, picking off baby rattle Snakes in her Colorado Back yard! Loved her! R.I.P. Grams!

Great mixer but no good straight

Jim Beam white label is a slightly better than bottom shelf whiskey. It's true whiskey, none of that "natural flavors" garbage on their label, because it's 100% bourbon whiskey. Just keep in mind that this is a mixing bourbon, not for drinking neat. I cannot shoot this without a chaser, it makes me want to vomit. Having said all of this, Jim Beam white label doesn't try to fool anyone into believing that it is more than what it is. If you can sip neat and truly enjoy, all the more power to you... and to be honest, I'm somewhat jealous, lol. But as a mixer, this is unbelievable! The harshness makes it difficult for the sugars of other beverages to completely mask. I prefer the black label to this for mixing, but you still can't go wrong if you mix with this instead. My rating is based on mixability, price, and good times.

I am a long time drinker of jim beam and love their products
19 January 2022

I love Jim Beam bourbon, Red Stag and peach bourbon. my disappointment is that the bourbon is now being bottled in plastic. I hope this is a short-term solution to the glass issue with the pandemic. I have not been able to get an answer to this as of yet. Good liquor does not get bottled in plastic. I hope i don't have to change brands.

In all respects, I adore the original Jim Beam.

Love Jim Beam Bourbon for its constant, classic flavor and good times; it is pure elegance, looks fantastic, and is not pricey, unlike other overrated, overpriced bourbons; way to go, and thanks to the Beam family and everyone involved in the manufacture and distribution.

Optimal across my several criteria
21 August 2022

It tastes OK. Not as sweet, smooth and warm as Knob Creek, and only 80 proof rather than 100, but Jim Beam is not as expensive. It competes well against Jack Daniels, by my standards. It's not packaged as fancily as Blanton's. My most recent bottle came in a plastic bottle with no handle. Another concession to cost so might be targeting a cost-sensitive audience.

The benchmark is Jim Beam.
15 December 2022

Jim Beam serves as the standard by which all other bourbons are evaluated. Jim Beam is a mild, sweet bourbon that lies centered on the tongue. All bourbon drinkers always have it on hand and can enjoy it neat or blended. Invite your pals over for a blind tasting of various bourbons if you dare. You won't get your Jim Beam back from anyone. Don't get me wrong, there are numerous ways in which other bourbons are superior, but the majority of bourbon lovers I've met over the past 55 years prefer Jim Beam to unwind with after a long day at the office.

well worth the price,

ıt is the perfect entry to the world of bourbon, it makes a perfect mixer and a killer whiskey on the rocks. it is light and flavorful with a hint of vanilla and caramel. It is also the cheapest whiskey in turkey and it is well above the competition. ıf you like bourbon then you should probably give this classic a try. this will be my go to mixer and daily bourbon for when i want something uncomplicated after a long day.
