It features a unique and eye-catching design on both the bottle and impressive presentation box. Whilst Jonnie Walker make a number of different whiskies, it's their Blue Label which is the rarest. They class the Blue Label as their masterpiece, a combination of the rarest and most exceptional of Scotland's whiskies. These rare casks come from the Highland and Speyside distilleries, and include the delicate Cardhu and Clynelish. Combined with the warm and well-rounded Benrinnes, and Islay malts for the signature sominess. As such, only one in every ten thousand casks has the elusive character, flavour, and quality which ensures the signature taste. As such a premium whisky it may not be one which you enjoy every day, but it certainly is an extraoridinary whisky which can be enjoyed on special occasions, or makes that extra special gift for the real whisky lover. This has a deliciously mellow, rounded nose to it, which combines a dry smokiness with a sweetness of faisins. On the palate there is a distinct velvey combination of flavours; honey, vanilla, and rose petals all coming through. These then develop, expanding to include an orange zestiness, notes of hazelnut, sherry and a touch of dark chocolate. As you might expect, the finish is long, rich and definitively luxurious. As would be expected, the smokiness which is the trademark of Johnnie Walker also comes through.
