First two bottles of the revised product were refunded by the delivery driver as both had leaked in transit. The revised colour of the liquid is so clear that it is not possible to see it going into the water which makes it more difficult to ad the correct amount. The new bottle top is flimsy and easy to break the disk closer. If you don' like the new bottle, and I don't, you cant easily take the whole top off the bottle to put the baby bath into a better designed dispenser, which I would do!So in summary, for me at least, the obvious changes are all for the worse.

A wonderful product!

The soap free formula has been perfect on my little boy’s skin and is really delicate and smells so clean/fresh. I love the fact that the baby bath is super gentle and NO MORE TEARS as my little boy is such a wriggler and loves splashing. It really leaves his delicate skin feeling super soft and healthy. Another benefit is the fact it’s hypoallergenic & pH balanced meaning it’s also delicate on his sensitive skin, with the added benefit of being free from alcohol, sulphates, parabens and dyes! It’s 5/5 for us.. we have loved the bath time bubble fun

Awful smell - completely different to old formula

I’m so surprised I don’t see more complaints. The new formula smells awful and much worse compared to the old formula. I agree with the other one star comments! I’m not sure what drove the change but it’s definitely gone down hill. I’m aware that naturally people don’t like change so any change In packaging/formula usually will take some getting use to but this is really bad and not something I think I could warm up to. I hope Johnsons do revert back to the old formula

Cleans Well but Lacks Bubbles
10 May 2019

Up until now I hadn't used any Johnson's bath time product on my 2 year old son and so trialling this product was the first time. There was no issue in terms of the my son's skin condition after using this product, it seemed to clean my sons hair and body reasonably well and the No More Tears claim stood up to testing, we didn't have any complaints. The reasons that I have marked this product down (3 stars, instead of 5) is because I used this product as I would our usual product, and in the same quantities, and I felt that it didn't create as many bubbles in the bath which meant that more was needed and consequently if I were to use this product regularly then I would need to buy much more. In addition to this, I wasn't overly keen on the smell, but I guess that ... MoreUp until now I hadn't used any Johnson's bath time product on my 2 year old son and so trialling this product was the first time. Always used the blue bottle and for my children since they were born and all of us are still ising it.Now my middle aged children my grandchildren and myself are experiencing itching, hardly any bubbles, awful smell. Very sad to lose the blue bottle product.we are now buying other products and have thrown away your new baby bath. You need to urgently reconsider and bring the blue bottle and contents back. Your reputation is at risk.None of us or our acquaintances will ever again buy the new product

End of an era.

I have used Johnson & Johnson Baby Bath essentially my entire life. I know that because my mother used to tell me that it is what she used to bathe me with when I was a baby. I am now well into my thirties and have remained an ardent and consistent user of this product.I recall that about fifteen years ago, between 2005-2006, the formula was changed – for the worse. I could discern that the fragrance had changed. As intimated, it was not to my liking. Nevertheless, I persevered and continued to use the product in spite of this as I found the texture or consistency and utility had not been compromised. If I may digress slightly, but perhaps significantly, for a moment. Nevertheless, I persevered and continued to use the product in spite of this as I found the texture or consistency and utility had not been compromised. If I may digress slightly, but perhaps significantly, for a moment. Some years later I visited the United States. During my stay, I visited a wholesale-type shop (or store), I will reserve revealing the name of said shop, and found that they stocked Johnson & Johnson Baby Bath. It was in a huge bottle as compared to the largest size available in the UK. Of course, I could not resist and purchased two bottles. Upon my return home, I proceeded to use the product. I was met with a unwelcome surprise. Up until that moment, I have known the colour of the Johnson & Johnson Baby Bath to match the colour of the bottle i.e. it is blue. The American version was not. It was white. It also lacked the dermatological benefits of the British version. Nevertheless, I thought nothing particularly serious of it and put it down perhaps to manufacturing differences and histories of the two branches of the company. However, only a few months or so later, I learnt that Johnson & Johnson, in America, had unsuccessfully defended a multi-billion-dollar class action lawsuit brought by their customers as their products were found to be carcinogenic. Needless to say, I was extremely concerned but, rightly or wrongly, I was stilled by the fact that I knew from the aforementioned previous experience that Johnson & Johnson products are apparently produced differently depending on the country they are sold in.Therefore, I continued, once again, to purchase this product in the UK.Now, the formula has been changed again. I find that it is now, for lack of a better word… terrible. The product is far lighter in potency, although appearing and feeling thicker in consistency. As such it does not create a good lather, unless an unreasonable amount of the product is used. One could be justifiably suspicious in concluding that this measure is designed to promote the re-purchase of the product as it does not last nearly as long. But then, why indeed would one be inclined to do so giving this devastating reduction in quality. Moreover, far from being moisturising, this new formula is decidedly drying. Whatever ingredient was used in the previous formula that provided the moisture has been removed or replaced. After use, skin does not have the supple feeling obtained with the previous formula. One seriously questions the motives and skill of those responsible for research and development within the Johnson & Johnson company, that created this abysmal product and thought it worthy to replace the pre-existing product. This is an error of monumental proportions. Such a sentence is perhaps an exaggeration. However, time may prove such a comment accurate. Needless to say, in this, I am quietly confident. This disappointed and now former user, again of thirty-six years, is now left with no choice but to search for a new product. I was tempted to try Aveeno. However, after some research, I note that not only is it far more expensive, its most recent reviews are replete with complaints from users about declines in quality due to new formulas of products that they were previously very happy with. Co-incidence? Lo and behold, it turns out that, Aveeno is also owned by Johnson & Johnson.Just what is going on?

Johnson's Baby Bat...yay or nay

Johnson's Baby Bath comes in a good sized bottle and not a lot is needed in each bath so is good value for money. All in all I would say this is a great product and would highly recommend.

No the same and much has been lost

I totally agree with the other reviewers. I've used Johnson's baby bath for 30 years and could happily use it for face, loved the scent. It took ages to open the new style bottle. As others have said, it's thicker and clear and you can't see how much comes out. The lovely scent has gone. But the new makes my eyes sting so much that I cannot risk using it. The opposite of no more tears! I'm really disappointed with the new formula.

Not sure why they changed the formula

I’ve been using the older version of Johnson’s baby bath since I was a baby, 30 years or so. My mum also uses it and I would have used it on my future kids. But not anymore. This new bottle may look fancier but it isn’t practical. The product takes a lot longer to squeeze out. And the lid can’t easily be pulled off either. The old bottle was so much more practical.I also am unhappy with the fact that the new product didn’t say ‘New and improved’. I brought it thinking just the packaging changed. The new formula smells odd. The original scent was much nicer. The consistency is also thicker and the product doesn’t last as long. I need to squeeze out more as it doesn’t lather that well either. Worth of buying def!

OMG How it is possible that I've never tried this amazing product?! This bubble bath is soft on skin, largely chemical / nasties free and smells lovely with a soft scent of I couldnt recognise it but I love it! My son has very sensitive skin and some products can irritate him, he has had no problems whatsoever with this bubble bath. It's also nice to know that he's not being exposed to some of the things in more mainstream bath products. My only downside is that it doesn't produce great bubbles and to get a half decent amount of bubbles and they don't last long. But honestly I think that's part and parcel of not using a harsh chemical bubble bath.
