Joie Roomie Glide Bedside Sleeper - Starry Nights

(224 reviews)

The Roomie Glide extra bed is not only a functional bed, but also a baby cradle at the same time. So you can rock your child to sleep. Depending on your mood, the rocking can also get a little wilder and provide fun. The rocking is done with only one hand. After rocking, fix the bed back in its original position. The cot is height adjustable so it can be conveniently attached to your own bed. It comes with 11 height levels. This allows you to easily cradle the bed while lying down. This way, your child gets used to sleeping in his or her own bed right from the start. And you still have the full security of knowing that your child is lying close by. The long side of the bed can be lowered, making access to your child much easier. Especially at night, when things have to move quickly. With just one hand, you release the side panel and let it slide down where it locks into place. With the push of a button, the side panel is operated. The long sides are equipped with mesh, so you have a good view of your child. The ventilation is also sufficient this way. A comfortable mattress can be removed at any time for transport. The bed can be easily dismantled and stored in the transport bag and transported.

Not sure what the negative reviews are about but we love our co-sleeper.It fits nicely up next to the bed, we don’t move ours so have nothing to complain about the wheels. I
do wish the legs locked bent once we set them there (for a snug fit next to my bed) but with a few adjustments now and then it’s fine. It’s easy enough to move when making
the bed. We purchased when he was around 2 weeks old but I can shuffle down the bed to get out easily enough, and I suffer with chronic pain - might be challenging with any
bed next to you after a c-section (if you have one). We don’t put the side back up, it’s always down so he can reach me in the night if he needs me, but the side b... Show more

I bought this a few months ago and have been using it for the last few days with my newborn. It has been handy for both bub and I. My little one has had some good sleep in
it.He’s now cluster feeding overnight so when that settles down I’m sure he’ll be happier to return to longer stretches overnight in it again. The cradle fitted sheets work best
for this bed. I’ll also be looking into lambs fleece to make the mattress naturally warmer for bub as it is winter currently.

Our newborn is 6 weeks old now and we've been really pleased with the purchase. Very quick to put together and easy to adjust. The flexible legs and side have been great to
keep baby close to the side of our bed, so easy access to keep an eye on her and pick her up for feeding in the night. We just did our first overnight trip away and it was easy
to pack up and transport too. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a relatively compact, easily adjustable crib that can slide right next to your bed for peace of
mind and easy access.

We don’t use the rock feature as bubs hates it and it’s a tad strange. Incline is good for bad reflux nights (upon paediatrician advice).Again I love it so much! Best purchase, I look forward to our 12 month journey together.... Show more

Good features outweighed by poor mobility
16 August 2021
We were sold on this co-sleeper as it had mesh sides, height adjustment and castor wheels for easy movement. Unfortunately when we got it home we discovered it's heigh adjustment isn't very high at all compared to our highset mattress but more frustratingly, the castor wheels are only 1 directional (i.e. runs parallel to the bed). It won't move perpendicular to the bed to move it closer and further away and you can forget moving it around your house to use during the day. Very disappointed with this purchase.... Show more

Great bassinet
7 June 2021
We found this to be a great bassinet as first time parents. Reading the other reviews, it would be good if you could wheel it in different directions but we found it easy enough to move around the house and push along the carpet in our room when I wanted to get out of bed, even having had a c-section it was easy enough to move. The rocking feature is great and we didn't have any issues with the side coming down, liked that it didn't come all the way down as at least it provides a small barrier, we have quite an active bubs! It was easy enough to put together following the YouTube video, haven't tried to dismantle it.... Show more

Not what I wanted
25 February 2021
I had a look at this in store before making the decision to buy this, but I’m afraid that I must’ve missed absolutely everything because I thought I was getting a great sale price.Firstly, very unhappy with the wheels. I wanted to be able to push my baby around the house but I couldn’t even push this bassinet away from my bed when I woke up in the morning. I’m still pregnant but I had to practically lift the bassinet to move it out of my leg space.Secondly, my husband agrees that the side doesn’t go down nicely at all. Could be a fault because the one at the store didn’t seem too difficult? It just tends to get stuck. But useless, may as well keep it up all the time.Thirdly, this product comes with a travel bag, but it is NOT easy to pack up at all. It required us using a screw driver to dissemble it and pack it up.May as well spend the money on a non-cosleeper bassinet that doesn’t have wheels.Sorry, baby bunting, I know this was a new product and I liked that it had a rocking function. But fourthly, the whole frame didn’t seem stable.Used my store credit on a different bassinet. Also, when I did put this on my lay by — there weren’t any reviews yet on this website. Hence I’m writing mine. x... Show more

Not worth it
2 November 2021
I have been using this for nearly 4 weeks but from day 1 I have been frustrated with it. The wheels only go back and fourth not side to side. I loved how easy it was to put the side down but when you have sheet and blanket on the get caught and it's hard to pull up and down. I hate that it doesn't feel sturdy. I only love it because I can have my baby next to me with the side down so I can see him and make sure he's ok. I wish I read the reviews before buying because I wouldn't have brought it.... Poor Design
6 November 2021
Bought this without viewing in person (I live regionally so wasn't able to) and it seemed great. Loved that it had wheels etc.As many have said, the wheels only go one way, so it's super difficult to move around which I feel defeats the purpose of even having wheels. They also don't lock in place when you bend them out of the way. It wasn't that easy to set up or pack up. Just a really poor design. There are definitely better ones out there.I got rid of it minutes after setting it up.Pros- it was on sale so when I purchased it was cheap. Good size. Decent mattress.... Show more

Unfortunately we’re stuck with it.

Aside from the flimsy legs, who designs such terrible wheels. Can’t be moved in all directions so you end up lifting the thing. You can’t buy sheets and mattress protectors that fit, we found adairs mattress protectors the best, and mister fly fitted bassinet sheets, but also had to get the ones we bought from BB professionally altered. We unfortunately bought 2, one for each twin and regret it daily. As for the cool drop down, it doesn’t work when you’ve got a blanket tucked in the side.... Show more

Wouldn’t buy
16 February 2021
The fact that the wheels only roll backwards and forwards defeats the purpose of having a bassinet on wheels- it is next to impossible to move without lifting. Even being able to move it away from the bed would be helpful, but of course it doesn’t wheel that way.I also find the co sleeper side doesn’t slide down properly when it’s pressed up against the mattress (as it is when I want to use it). It works fine when it’s a stand alone, but obviously I want to move it next to the bed before I put baby down (because of course I can’t wheel it closer), with the side up (because I’m not going to bed yet) but then in the middle of the night when I want to try to settle her, the divider doesn’t slide all the way down. One star because I like that the mesh is all the way ... MoreThe fact that the wheels only roll backwards and forwards defeats the purpose of having a bassinet on wheels- it is next to impossible to move without lifting.
