Great wig with a nice short style. The hand tied cap construction makes it light and comfortable. I love this style with nice waves pattern.10RH16 is a neutral, natural color, it matches with my pale skin and looks a little darker than my bio hair (dark ash blond) but it fits well. The ash blond (16) is used on the lace front part and makes it invisible.... Show more

Beautiful Color!
January is a beautiful, wavy, fun style. The color is so rich looking, many colors going on and lots of warmth. (Salted Caramel) I'm so impressed with the lace front and part, it looks like my own hair! Spray a little water, scrunch, and get even more volume or take a comb to it and have a more smooth look. This wig is very versatile and feels great!... Show more

Beautiful wig but not for me
January hand tied in the color Martini is a beautiful wig. The fiber is very soft and light. It has a great cap, however it fit me large and the ear tabs came too far forward for me to wear my glasses comfortably. Also, even though the density seems light it is extremely full and fluffy. Don’t get me wrong, I like fullness to my hair but this is too much for me. Unfortunately I thought I’d try to make her work so I can’t return her but will be posting her for sale. I have a very small face and she just overwhelmed me. I wear JR Ignite most of the time and was surprised that the cap was so large. It’s a beautiful wig, just not for me.... Show more

Cute and fits great!
I’m used to heat-friendly synthetics and usually opt for Ellen Wille due to my small head. Unfortunately, many of their best styles are running large these days. I watched many reviews of January hand-tied and thought I’d give her a go when I found a good price. This wig is SO comfortable! I have a 20.5” circumference and am used to wigs sitting uncomfortably on my ears, but this wig sits perfectly and only needed a little adjusting of the straps. Also, I’m sensitive to itchy permatease, so very grateful for the hand-tied cap. There is a little bit of permatease at the nape, touching my neck, but it’s not bothersome. The fibers are shiny compared to what I’m used to, which I knew to expect. In some lighting it’s more noticeable and the color shifts more than ... Hopefully I can get over the fibers, because it’s just so cute and comfortable! My photos show the wig after it’s been washed. I used some wig wax spray to lift the roots, just at the very front. I’m going to try a cold soak with some powder to see if I can reduce the glare a bit. Overall really nice wig!... Show more

Hand tied at a discount - very pleased!
I have bought several regular January's in the past, and have always thought they had too much permatease, but would repurchase it because it is closest to the style and color I am looking for. This was my first January Hand Tied. I am pleased to say that it is exactly what I was hoping for. It was in nearly brand new condition, and still had the criss-cross part. I could see that the curls had been slightly loosened from their typical tight curl, but it just gave me a better sense of what it would look like once it was washed. The crown is still a little too poofy, so I may steam it slightly. The best part is that there is NO permatease, which had always made it too hot to wear in the summer, and now I don't have to worry about wefts showing since there are none. ... It also has less density than regular January, so I only thinned it slightly in spots compared to my regular major thinning of January. It arrived quickly, and was a great discount, so I will be a repeat customer at the Outlet.... Show more

Just not for me
Well, for one thing, I guess I have to give up on Renau wigs. Their cap is just too short for my head. I have tried 3 of them, and the wig wobbles around because it never comes down to the nape of my neck, no matter how I try to adjust the straps. And the shine is like NO ONE's hair - living or dead. Just awful - is that amount of iridescence necessary?Next, this style is just the typical - a giant wad of hair on the top and weird scraggly curls - either "beachy waves" or "shattered curls". What the heck do those terms really mean?. I honestly have never found a wig that looks like real hair growth on a woman my age - over 70. I refuse to have a curly poodle cut wig, but my own hair before chemo was just above my shoulders and laid down nicely - nothing like any ... I refuse to have a curly poodle cut wig, but my own hair before chemo was just above my shoulders and laid down nicely - nothing like any of the wigs I've tried. Evidently there are no wigs that have width at the jaw line instead at the crown. And I do not expect to look younger - just reasonably attractive for my age. It's only quality I thought was nice is the unusual color -Martini which is a grayish blonde. Sorry to be so negative about this wig, but I am really discouraged with wig shopping and guess maybe I should just give up and wear scarfs and caps. I feel like an old fool in all the various 6 wigs I have sent for and returned. This is my review of ONLY the wig. This company is beyond excellent in the way it handles personal service and quality. THANK YOU!... Show more

Lace was altered
Firstly, I love January. I’m very pleased with the fiber, color and the overall look. What I am unhappy with is, on the wig I received, the front lace had been cut very closely to the hairline and some type of glue or maybe Fray Check had been applied to a section of it. The lace does not lay flat in that area and the glue is visible. For optimal appearance, lace should be cut with pinking shears; this is a straight cut. I am new to wigs. It is my fault that I did not notice this before wearing it a couple times. I discovered it when I changed the part. Through my online research, I have now learned what to look for so next time I’ll be able to spot things like this and return an altered or defective wig before I wear it. Both versions of January tend to be less shiny than the straight versions of synthetics, which is a plus for me. The Jon Renau regular synthetic fibers last longer than the other brands I have tried as well.... Show more

Not good
The color is great.even though it has a mono top so that you can part the hair where you would like, that is a lie! as much as you try to part it to style it differently it will not stay. It goes back to the form that it came in. Secondly, my head measurements are a petite. This one is an average and it’s small. I would not recommend purchasing this week if I could get my money back on it, I would, but since I’ve wore it, I can’t get my money back.... Show more
