I'm giving this paddle 5 stars because it is what I expected for the price. It isn't a tournament grade paddle. It is a good beginner paddle that doesn't cost too much. As expected, it does everything decently, but does nothing greatly. It is an inexpensive, but not cheap, paddle.

Amazing paddle. I coach pickleball every week and have tried several paddles. I had two Head paddles and now love this Joola paddle. Saving up for the upgraded more expensive Joola one day. This paddle is GREAT. A great way to get into Pickleball. The more expensive Joola paddles are worth it, but this paddle does the job just fine. Great for pickleball players that are recreational vs. tournament players. The grip feels nice. The paddle plays great. Good spin and feel overall. Very light weight feeling. Overall a winner.

This is a great pickleball paddle for beginners. It has a good grip to avoid the hand from losing control due to sweat. It has a good-sized sweet spot in the middle of the paddle to get good quality shots. This paddle is a must have and at a good price.
This paddle is really good. The Joola brand is very prestigious, and this paddle makes a good first good paddle when starting the sport. I started w wooden paddles and I can tell a HUGE difference with it.

Played for a month on a borrowed Prince raquet I got used to. Played one day on a different raquet and was miserable as the deadspots on the raquet seemed to be everywhere. Duh, just like tennis, the sweet spot was much smaller. Bought this raquet on a whim and immedietly took to it. Feel like I can put spin on the ball fairly easily and it grabs nicely (tennis and ping pong background). Although I've really only played with 3 different raquets, this one is by far easier to learn on an very forgiving. Playing daily for 6 weeks now and am anxious to get good enough to consider buying another Joola raquet. Compared to other raquets in this price range, I am very pleased with my purchase. Great first raquet!

My elbow was hurting with the other racket I had inherited from a friend, but this Joola Essential is fantastic! Lightweight, wonderful control, NO pain!! Highly recommend it 😊
I’m a decent intermediate player and I’ve had about 3 paddles. This is my new favorite paddle. So much control, a good sweet spot and I can place the ball where I want to.
