Perfect. In every way. Sweet notes..Smooth! I mix with 7 up & ice.. Its very light on the stomach.The buzz is EXTREMLY comforting, unlike other spirits. I would highly recommend. TASTE & PRICE. It's nice to feel happy.😭

Since the 1950s, I've been purchasing Jose Cuervo Tequila and Gold. Use to purchase 1800 triangular pints in a wooden box for around $7.50. Gold is a great Tequila for combining, in any case. I have tried hundreds of various tequilas and probably have 20 or more in my liquor cabinet, ranging from Don Julio 1942, 1800, through Legado in most varieties. No one, 100% agave or not, creates a better margarita than Cuervo Gold. I often keep a quart or two of freshly mixed margaritas in my refrigerator, usually prepared with Gold and solely made with fresh limes. Anyone who mixes costly tequilas is, in my opinion, either a faux snob or a fool, and the same goes for anyone who criticizes Gold because It's a mixto.
Bought this for a special friends birthday, more to establish a tradition to celebrate birthdays with a tequila shot. My first ever tequila. Wow, just great. Was such fun to group us together and start our new tradition of salt, shot, lime 🤗 perfect......except it's all gone so now need to order another !
It tastes the best as "all purpose tequila" and as a primary alcoholic component in cocktails and the odd shot. You can tell you're drinking authentic tequila by the mild wood flavor and terrific tingling. I have a few higher-end, more costly Anejo or Silver brands that I enjoy sipping slowly, but this one is perfect for blending into just about any mixer or fruit juice and will retain a trace of flavor.
Jose is still one of my closest friends from way, way back! It simply brings back a lot of memories for me, both pleasant and bad ones. lol It's kind of funny that I don't enjoy it in a margarita, though. For margaritas, I favor Cabo or Tres Generaciones better, and for straight shots, I like Jose's classic flavor and kick better.
"Jose Cuervo Gold is my favorite since it is pleasant and reasonably priced. purchasing the 1.75 Lt. Almost everything can be combined with it, and the flavor is retained. Although there are other fine tequilas as well, this one is my favorite and a terrific value.
It's a great light tequila that tastes well straight or with one ice cube, so I don't see why folks think it's rubbish.This is a blend of matured, and unaged 100% agave tequilas. There is a review by the person on Common Man Cocktails that claims it is phony tequila.
