This is fairly useful as a draining board when washing a few items. It comes apart easily. It folds easily for storing. The purpose for me was to avoid getting the worktop wet and it is necessary to be very careful to avoid this. Overall, it would probably be better if it were larger. However, in the absence of any other suitable product, I would still say that it was quite a good purchase.

Bought this as the draining area in the sink of our new place is quite limited. It actually doesn't help much because of the unevenness large items don't sit that well. You can't put anything upright to drain either. I thought the groove may be a little deeper and allow you to put plates in them. No can do. Anyway, it does what was advertised I suppose, but doesn't suit my needs.

Having a dishwasher and no drain board we do not need a large dish rack. The Joseph Joseph extended draining mat is ideal. It is easy to drain the water off it and folds to whatever size you want it. Unlike the rubber one we had previously it's easy to clean.

Pros: A good idea because conventional dish drying racks can be a bit of an eyesore. Attractive in three shades of grey.Cons: difficult to give a give wipe over due to the grooves. Needs to be taken apart, washed and reassembled which can be fiddly. I'd give it 7 out of 10.
Since I have a dishwasher I only wash a few items at a time so tend to keep this closed most often and it takes up very little space. If I wash a large sauté pan for example I just slide out the other sections to accommodate. Just tip any gathered water into the sink when finished. Easy to wipe clean too. I haven’t had any issues with it unclipping.
I’m very disappointed in the quality and construction of this product. The pieces do not stay together. Each time you pick up the item or try to extend the levels, it completely disconnects and falls apart. Due to the poor connection points, it’s not a quick fix but snapping it back in place as one would expect. I am now realizing that the product demonstration video does not show the levels being extended and I am sure it is due to the reasons that I and may others have expressed disappointment with. This item was supposed to create is and convenience, but instead only causes frustration. This is going back.
We are huge fans of JosephJoseph products but this was not a success. We bought it as an addition to our new worktop, whose grooved draining section is less than efficient, and I'm afraid we found this to be not much help. It did extend the draining area, but water did not drain through the higher sections as anticipated.
This was to replace the first Joseph Joseph drainer which did not match our new kitchen bench. The extending drainer is great . Most of the time it is just one leaf. And extends very easily if we need more draining space.

The three sections are designed to separate in order to be able to adequately wash them which in theory is a positive. Unfortunately the design is such that they section separate with normal use which means that, every time it was put to use, one would have to connect the three sections by fitting two small tabs into just the right spot on the slots if another section for two sections. That’s a hassle that I certainly do not need. The three parts fall apart whenever you touch it, so you can't really move it. If you pick it up it falls apart, and is very fiddly to get back together. Plus it is very hard plastic, not rubberised at all, so anything that is too big for a single tier just slides off into oblivion. I don't really like it. The Joseph Joseph Flume floppy draining mats are much cheaper and better!
