Jour D'Hermes Eau De Parfum Refillable Spray 85ml

I was not a fan of this when I first smelled it, as I felt it was too strong, spicy and a little overbearing. However, I have grown to appreciate it. Less is definitely more with this fragrance, so you don’t need a lot to make it last. It settles really nicely on the skin and sticks with me throughout the entire day, which is hard to come by with fragrance for me. It is not something I would wear everyday, just because it does have a lot of spice to it. But it’s something that I would wear if I knew I needed it to last me throughout the entire day, because by the end of the day, it settles to a really nice warm scent. I think this is a great fragrance for a night out if you want to stand out from everyone else, as it is more unique than most colognes I have smelled on the market currently.

Hermès Jour d'Hermès Absolu EDP is my favourite fragrance. It is lightly floral and feminine without being cloying or sweet like some fragrances can be. It smells luxurious and decadent, and I always get compliments when I wear it because it's not a common scent. First bought it from Sephora Canada, but they no longer carry it so I pop into Hermès when I need a fresh bottle of fragrance. I've tried some of the other Hermès fragrances, but have not found any that I love as much as this. For example, I find Twilly too sweet for my tastes and Un Jardin Sur La Lagune to be too potent and unpleasant for me. But this one, the Jour d'Hermès Absolu, is the perfect scent for my body chemistry.

This is easily one of the best 'dumb reach' fragrances i've come across during my many years of collecting fragrances. It works in every occasion, casual, formal, date, office.. anything. You will just simply smell very good. It's missing the signature iris note associated with the Dior Homme line up but in it's places are dialed up citruses. While I love Iris some people find it unusual or lip sticky cosmetic smelling. I would say this is the safest from the Dior Homme line up. But I will also say as someone who owns all of the Dior Homme fragrances the best one by far is Dior Homme Parfum. Over all rating for this EDT a solid 10 due to the mass appeal.

Francois Demachy works his magic by reworking the scent profile, adding top notes of bergamot, pink pepper, middle notes of cashmere wood, atlas cedar, patchouli, and base notes of Iso E Super, Haitian vetiver, and white musk. Completely leaving out the prominent note of iris from the original. The iconic note that gave Dior Homme it’s “lipstick” smell. I love the way this smells and how masculine it is. When first sprayed, you get a blast of the bergamot, making this a clean citrusy opening to the fragrance. As it dries down, woody notes followed by Iso E Super which adds more to the woodiness of the fragrance. As for performance, I get about 6-8 hours and 1-2 hours of projection. I recommend this fragrance to anyone looking for an everyday scent. A scent that truly lifts you up, makes you feel classy and elegant! It opens with burst of citrus and hint of elemi in the background. It then proceeds to elevate the resin while backing down the citrus a bit, but it is still present throughout. The citrus is blending very well with the elemi, making it zingy! Pink pepper is giving the blend additional character. The projection is very good as I can smell it from my wrist while typing on cellphone. It last very good too! Still can smell it even after showering! This is very similar to DH 2020, this is lighter zingy er version. I just wish I recieved a bigger bottle to actually spray and wear it in order to test the compliment factor and appeal. I was beyond excited when I found out my fiancé would be able to try Dior Homme Dior Homme Sport. I anxiously awaited for the cologne to arrive and when it finally did, I opened it without even waiting for him to get home. Woops! Though I sprayed very little out of fear that it may be too strong, hours later, I still smell it. In fact, I keep pausing during writing this review to sniff my wrists. And lemme tell you that I have never been so attracted to myself. I still have several other samples to try but this gets very high points. Everyones chemistry is different but this is an incredible frangrance that is SO worth checking out.Every time I take a whiff I think THIS is what perfume was meant to be.

I didn’t use to worry about eau de Parfum longevity about 10 years ago- most would last close to 8 hours without re applying. A lot of even more expansive eau de Parfum now do not hold this quality anymore, sadly. This perfume still holds its value and mark! Most importantly, they haven’t changed the formula yet in the last 5-7 years. Many companies change the formula for the worst but leaving the original name- Miss Dior to name the few. Which is just terrible. I love Hermes Absolu. I get compliments all the time. The original version is very nice too, but I prefer the Absolu version for myself.
