I got lucky, because I feel as though I bought the last one left in the whole of Victoria. After having it in my cart for 3 weeks, I finally bit the bullet. I bought this as a secondary BBQ next to my Weber Q. The Weber lacked a flat plate to allow for several smash burgers, which is why I invested in this little beast. Plenty of surface area to smash some patties and is the perfect companion to the Weber Q. If you are having issues finding the Jumbuck, you’ll find a dupe at BigW under the Contempo brand - however it only has one heat control to fire up both sides, whereas this one has two. It is, however, the same BBQ. Get one of these, and a mini Jumbuck rotisserie… and you’ll be laughing!

There is a significant error in the user manual: the manual states that the gas hose thread is 5/8" SAE, in fact the thread is 3/8" SAEF ( fine). If you need to replace the gas hose (or have older POL LPG gas bottles to use that are not LCC27) there is no such thing as a 5/8" SAE LPG gas hose. For some reason mine came with the gas hose already screwed into place from the factory, it had already punched a hole in the packing, but hadn't quite reached the point of wrecking the hose. I'd advise storing the hose separately in the box and walking around to the aisle that has chair leg tips and buying a packet of 10mm or 16mm rubber leg tips which press fit over the tread on the BBQ - protects the thread and stops insects from crawling into the gas pipes to build a nest ... MoreThere is a significant error in the user manual: the manual states that the gas hose thread is 5/8" SAE, in fact the thread is 3/8" SAEF ( fine). Nice thick plate so it holds heat reasonably well. The burners light easily. It works well in the wind. The edges of the plate are high so not much fat splatter. Fat drainage system works well. One bad thing is the gas hose is too short to reach the ground from table height.Overall I'm very happy.
We bought this to do a sausage sizzle in the park for our sons birthday. It worked fabulously! Even heat and great amount of space on the hot plate. Easily and fairly quickly cooked the 90 odd sausages we had.One tip though: buy yourself a wind breaker or 2! The first time was a nice sunny day. Second time we went out and were cooking steak and prawns and it was quite windy. Took a bit longer but they were still cooked perfectly. And we were also able to fit 6 large steaks on it plus prawns around it so it's great for families and groups. We're going to take it for camping trips to do the bulk of the cooking. Highly recommend!
Awesome little BBQ for us as we don’t have an undercover area outside so can put on table and then move back inside. Can also use for camping/picnics.
All I ever wanted was a BBQ that was super easy to keep clean, no hoods, no nooks, no crannies.Got the jumbuck delta 2 burner and it is easy to clean, but it's a horrible bbq, weak heat and uneven hot spots. Gave up and went looking for a ring burner and a cast iron pan when I stumbled across this thing. What an absolute ripper of a BBQ, very even heat distribution due to thick plate and also very hot. I only cooked burgers but I can tell this thing is good, I mean real good. Maybe after having such a terrible bbq my standards are a bit low, but I feel this is perfect, jumbuck must read all the sh#$ty reviews and addressed problems.Bit of a rant I know, but definately cooks good and cleans real easy. Just need a lid for it now.
Bought this after Christmas and used for cooking on my camp kitchen. It blew me away! Perfect for a compact camp BBQ, suited my fam of 4 for every meal, and fed 10 hungry kids pancakes with no throw aways! Would absolutely recommend this over the stand alone version, the thicker plate is a much faster and more even cooking surface, and being a table top version there is more protection from the wind. It's also light to carry and compact for storage while feeling very sturdy and well made. You won't regret this purchase!
Brilliant little BBQ - back to basics and perfectly functional.
Solid hot plate which heats up quickly and cooks well ,no stewing it's really hot ! Easy to clean , fat collector at the side works great , best of all is the price.
