Looking back, I wish I bought the Giga 6 again.

I use to own a Breville machine and loved the way coffee turned out when I made it...BUT using the same coffee bean in this new machine has brought out new flavors/notes in the beans that I've never tasted before. At the touch of a button, I can walk away and come back to a gourmet coffee shop like coffee that makes you want to come back for more. The first day I drank 4 cups of coffee. It is absolutely worth the money, especially since I was spending $100s at Starbucks a month outside of what I drank at home.

I got GIGA 10 and I tried to set it up on May 22th. However, in the process, the machine wodld not recognize the drip tray (The screen said "Drip tray not fitted") even when I put it in. Upon further inspection, I noticed a part of the drip drawer was broken.I spent $5000 on this machine! It was very this appointed. How it was shipped without quality inspection.I emailed to them BUT never get back any response yet. I tried call on the phone 1-800-220-5701 lots of times, They never answer!!!I have been using Z7 for 3 years. It was happy to use it. No any problems at all!I don't recommend JURA at allBut, I don't recommend this bad quality inspection and customer service.

I had been searching for the perfect coffee machine, was looking to upgrade from my nespresso machine. I looked into breville but was not 1000% convinced. A co- worker told me about jura, so I did some research and thought over my budget but why not.I received my machine on a Friday and within a week the machine was being packed up and shipped back to jura. After only 3 days of brewing coffee the machine began to leak water and was no longer brewing coffee. An error message: system fill and clean milk system plagued my machine.I called customer service over 10 times, left a handful of messages and wrote 3 emails. The Giga 10 is much better than my Giga 6. It’s easier to program and clean and can make cold brew options. However if you use milk in cold brew it comes out hot. A little bit of ice corrects that issue.One warning. Both my Giga 6 snd 10 leaked out OC the box. Jura customer service explained that the machine is very heavy and when shipped the box isn’t usually handled with care. The removable tray that holds the coffee grinds bin cracks, causing the leak. I called 1st in coffee and quickly received a replacement. For the Giga 6 I called Jura customer support and for my replacement. They also can talk you through any programming of other issues.When mailing the carton should be labeled “FRAGILE. PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE”
Saw this machine at my local Williams Sonoma and they were able to make me a sample of a cold brew Flat White. It tasted so good (better then my local place), and I just new I had to get one! We had a 10 year old JURA that still works well, but I am going to give that one to my brother as a gift so I can start making Cold Brew with the GIGA 10! I am still trying all the different options because it makes so many different drink options. So far my favorite is the Espresso and the different Cold brew milk drinks! It's also nice to have the 3 panel display. Makes everything very simple to make and understand. Two grinders is also nice so my Husband can use his DECAF. We are a JURA family for life!
I got my GIGA 10 on May 8th. It is leaking coffee stained water all over my counter ruining everything on my count. I would think for $5000.00 Jura could make a coffee machine that works. I would save yourself the hassle and not get this and avoid this one. I purchased the GIGA 10 because the touch screen stopped working on my GIGA 6 after 3 years. I have already had to send in my GIGA 6 for repairs. The quality of Jura is not there. Look at other coffee machine manufacturers.
My husband bought me this machine to replace our GIGA 8. I enjoyed seeing the looks on peoples faces when I told them he bought me a coffee machine for Mother's Day. When they heard the price, their faces changed ...lol. We just love it. It has been a challenge trying to figure out how to program the different coffees and then save what we did. Once we figured it out, it was a bIt a a breeze. I didn't know we needed different water filters for this machine, and couldn't figure out why the filters from the GIGA 8 didn't work here. Now we have a stock of the other filters, live and learn. I highly recommend this machine. It definitely is getting its use this in this house.
I had been a staunch supporter of Jura products until now. This is my 3rd Jura. I had absolutely nothing but good experiences with my original E8 and subsequent Z6 machines. Customer service was superb, any questions were answered quickly and professionally by phone. I was so excited to order the new Giga 10 because it had the 2 bean hoppers, the only extra feature I really wanted. I’m not happy with not being able to see the amount of water in the tank without removing it, or the confusing panoramic display which assumes you can figure out what the icons mean. I’m also not happy with the arbitrary “small, medium, large, etc.” choices instead of objective descriptions in ounces for coffee or seconds for milk foam. The instruction manual doesn’t tell you what the coffee or milk icons mean; do they mean more coffee or milk?? Or hotter coffee or milk?? And the instruction manual doesn’t tell you if you can program the machine to stay on that screen for a longer period of time so you actually have time to decide which of the three items you want to change! And if you think this machine is “intuitive “, good luck!!! I have completely lost faith in Jura and their products. My son has my E8, loves it after 10 years. My daughter-in-law has my Z6, loves it after 4 years. I have my Giga 10…..set it up on May 21….still waiting….am $5000+ poorer….wishing I had one of my old JURA’s……
We’ve owned every type of coffee and espresso maker from pour over to nespresso and other super automatics. The Jura GIGA 10 is essentially two super automatic machines in one. The flexibility of mixing beans per drink is fantastic. We used to premix bins into our previous single hopper machine. We almost bought the Z10 to save money but decided that we would regret doing so in less than a month. A great gift to ourselves after 35 years of hard work.
