Great coffee. I bought this over the Jura E8 due to the fact you can change between hot milk and milk foam rather than just milk foam. I prefer lattes/flat whites. The machine is far quieter than my previous one. Makes a very similar coffee to the more expensive Jura X8 my workplace has. The drip tray under the milk coffee nozzle could be a little more substantial though, my cup only just fits on (in diameter). Purchased for around $2000 during the 11.11 sales, Jura also had a promotion for the milk container, ss hose and 3kg of coffee.

After I wrote the review below, there were minor mistakes I made in wordings. I could not open the machine at all as it was too hard. Modified review:I bought this machine and used it just for over a month.Only 2 cups a day with campus coffee beans.Suddenly, when I press to make coffee, it grinds, then saysfill beans. Ok looking up google, maybe it says it would work if I vacuum the beans out of the machine so I tried, and no luck. Another google post said that if I open the machine and get the brewing part out then clean the part,it might work. I bought this coffee machine a few months ago, and it’s been faulty twice!! An error (error 22) popped up and last time didn’t work anymore!! It’s been sent away for a repair (more than two weeks now) and there is no guarantee that this doesn’t happen again! I regret buying this expensive machine:(

I have had the S8 for about a month now and have been very happy. Once I sorted the individual preferences, making a decent coffee is a breeze. Cleaning is a breeze and it is fairly quiet as machines go. The ability to regulate size and strength of coffee output is impressive. My only criticism is the the coffee is made at drinkable temperature but I would like to have it slightly hotter out of the machine. Overall - very content.
I have a professional coffee machine with a wedger grinder. Ive had this for years at home but cleaning up afterwards made it always time consuming. I had my eye on the Jura S8 for a while now and studying the machine, its parts and many different coffee menu it has is just amazing. No need to clean anything as it cleans up for you. The machine also grinds the coffee beans or if you like it has a seperate insert for already grinded coffee . It warms you when to clean the milk tubing, it will also warns you when to change the filter or water. The coffee is amazing coming from an Italian girl who lived in Italy. Buying another one soon for my business too . The best purchase Ive made in years.
Machine stopped working less than six months after purchase - started only making a dribble of coffee at a time. Tried everything feasible to remedy the problem to no avail. An incredible four months later and many, many phone calls on our part (Jura don’t take calls apparently, they’re inundated - you have to leave a message and pray they will call you back which they don’t by the way) the machine still isn’t fixed. Nearly $3000 in total investment down the drain - the purchase of the ongoing cleaning and maintenance products is ridiculous. Unsurprisingly a refund is the only remedy at this point. We had a built in Miele prior to this - at least that lasted seven years.

Adding decaf grounds is messy and can go under the machine at the back if slightly overfilled.A few irritating points: one can drag one’s finger across the screen and it will sometimes think you’ve pressed to make a coffee and “cancel” only comes up after it has ground the beans. 2nd point is that if you run a bit of water through the milk system to just rinse it then the milk cleaning message comes up all the time. Sometimes I do that when I haven’t used milk for a day or two and do it just to keep it fresh or just as a bit of hot water to top up a coffee (and can’t be bothered to put to the hot water nozzle on). With the demise of our old Delonghi, i replaced it with another only to find that it was a dud, and I suspect a major design flaw as the coffee was undrinkably weak using the strongest setting. the only work around was to stop the dispensing process mid stream, so after a several months, i took it back and after 1 month with the service agent it was clear they even they had no clues as to what to do... I suspect they are all tea drinkers ! So what to choose, as Delonghi is now off the list... I read a few reviews on Jura, yes that are expensive but with a good discount at the time i emptied my wallet. I still have to get up and consume it (not really a pro !)7 Good cleaning system no manual fussing around with the coffee press as with delonghiif you like good strong coffee and a quite kitchen, this is the machine.. It is an older model, as the new ones have wifi ! and maybe some means of turning the machine on from another part of the planet...

I did so much research into coffee machines prior to buying the S8... I am so glad I spent that bit extra to get what I wanted and a quality product. The machine makes amazing coffee every time - I haven't purchased a coffee since buying the S8! Its very simple to clean and lets you know when you need to clean it. The flat white/latte is never cold (unlike reviews I had read), its certainly hot enough for me. My kids also like the foam milk option for hot chocolates!I also wanted to buy a non-made China machine, this being SWISS made was a big winner for me.Customer service is also only a call away and they are very helpful.Couldn't be happier and would highly recommend, you won't be disappointed.
