The coloration and details on this Dino were amazing. There were so many moving parts in his neck, legs, and tail to maneuver him into the exact perfect position primed to fight in the Dino wars that generally play out in our living room. As a mom, I greatly appreciated that this Dino did not make noises. It comes packaged as 2 separate pieces which I wasn’t ready for, but the tail easily locked into place once we removed it from the box. It does of great job of keeping my son occupied at home, but the size of the Dino makes it awkward to take in the car.

We have other Jurassic Park dinosaurs, so we were pretty excited to try this one out! The detail on the skin is pretty remarkable and even the eye appears real as it appears to be made of glass or another clear material. This Dino has so many joints (neck, arms, legs, tail), making it fun and easy to bend and pose. Its mouth opens wide revealing tons of teeth and and its tongue/mouth. The tail is a softer, more flexible material whereas the body is very hard. I wish the whole body was softer like the tail. My son loves this dinosaur but wishes it made sound or at a minimum, he wishes it had the QR code on the foot like his other Jurassic Park dinosaurs, which goes along with a pretty cool app where you can learn more about the species, see it in your environment ... MoreWe have other Jurassic Park dinosaurs, so we were pretty excited to try this one out! Otherwise, it was good. Lastly. I like that the dinosaur came with the tail off (easily attached) to save on packaging, which is better for the environment.

Satisfied with this purchase. This Carnotaurus, especially in the face is really recognizable as the ILM model for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The sculpt is arguably one of the best the Hammond Collection has offered. The joints work good on mine, I had no stiff leg joints like I did with my tyrannosaurus figure, thankfully. The neck's side to side motion is rather limited, but after trying again it does still move a bit, which gives the pose more dynamism with the head tilted to the side, it works good enough for a good confronting pose. The tail has 2 joints, the joint between the wire and plastic portions has a much more generous mobility than the Tyrannosaurus, which in contrast barely moves and feels like it'll break if I force it. The upper and lower part of the head move with each other, and not independently like the Metriacanthosaurus. The glass eyes have a round pupil, and an amber color to them, it actually looks good. The paint is some of the best I have seen on a Jurassic World figure, it is on par with the HC rex.

LOVE this dinosaur. A very realistic version of a Carnotaurus. Has a variety of joints to make so many parts manipulative. For example, my son just had his calf and ankle backwards. Mouth opens and closes as well so that he can “roar” at his competitive dinosaurs. Even the hands have different joints to move! The coloring is very dynamic, and the eye is glass/plastic, making it look more real. Overall a win.
My dinosaur obsessed kiddo has all kinds of dinosaurs, but this one is one of his favourite ones. The dinosaur is big enough for little hands to play with, but not too big that they would need help. Putting it together was pretty easy, you just pop the tail in and you don’t have to worry about it coming out. One of the best things about this dinosaur is that you can move pretty much everything; the legs, arms, and head are completely moveable in different sections, which gives it a broader range of movement. It’s also pretty sturdy, you can use it in pretty much every environment: water, sand, mud.
This is one of the best quality dinosaur figures I've seen. The coloring is great, very realistic and detailed. One of the best features is the articulation of all of the limbs and movable parts, multiple points of movement in the legs makes it very pose-able. As well as the rubberized tail that can be posed. Overall construction and feel of the materials is sturdy and well built and doesn't feel cheap or like it will break easily. I have no complaints about this one and recommend it to anyone.
We could only dream of getting official mass-retail figures of THIS QUALITY a few years ago. This is truly the best release by Mattel to date. It is extremely accurate, well-proportioned, finely sculpted and painted. I say this as a fan with high standards. Mattel has certainly disappointed in the past. But wow… What a wonderful figure this is. I hope Mattel holds the Hammond Collection up to this standard for the releases to come.
I am a fan of the Hammond Collection dinosaurs because they don’t make any noise, despite that being my son’s favorite part about toy dinosaurs. The Hammond Collection seems to be more collector quality versus the other lines. That said, we have many dinosaurs across the various lines and releases. This carnotarus takes bit of finesse to get it balanced enough to stand unassisted, which can make play a little challenging. Also, I wish the texture of the entire dinosaur was that of its tail, which is a nice soft “real-feel” versus the hard plastic of the rest of its body.
Mattel has done a very good job handling figures for the Jurassic World brand, but this figure really is the best they've made so far. Excellent detail in the sculpt, and plenty of posability. The addition of the glass eyes are a neat little touch, though it's not very noticable unless the light catches them just right. As someone who hated the oversized feet on past figures, I'm so happy that these are proportionally sized, without affecting balance. The paint job is decent. It looks spot-on to what we see in Fall n Kingdom. The only downside I can say is that the paint for the underbelly stops near the pelvis. It would be nice if that was continued to the tail, but this is a small nitpick.
I have always been a huge fan of dinosaurs, especially the Carnotaurus. Yesterday I was a bit curious and decided to enter a toy store, I immediately saw it and bought it instantly even tho I decided to spare some money. I then came home, unpacked it and I was like : « THIS THING LOOKS NICEEEE » I highly recommend this figure to whoever likes Jurassic World or just dinosaurs in general, every part of the figure is so realistic, the jaw, the tail, the tiny carnotaurus arms, even the eyes. The eyes are a work of art, definitely.
