The Hammond Collection Velociraptor was the first figure I got from this new collector's line, and it did not disappoint. I love the deluxe packaging design of the Hammond Collection. The raptor itself is a small figure, about 3.75 inches tall and 7.5 inches long. It scales perfectly with the human figures and is more or less the exact same size as the mainline raptor figure. The sculpt is very faithful to the raptors seen in the original Jurassic Park, with plenty of fine scale detail and wrinkles. The paint job is a big improvement over the mainline version, with beautiful brown and tan coloration and (finally) painted claws! This velociraptor is a great addition to any dinosaur lovers collection! The attention to detail is incredible. It is very realistic and has a great range of motion with many moveable joints. We also love how they are scaled to the actual size of each dinosaur. So far we have two and it is neat to see them next to each other. My son was very excited to receive this dinosaur and wanted to carry it around everywhere with us. It was a hit!

This is a beautifully sculpted velociraptor figure from the Jurassic World Hammond Collection. The points of articulation, particularly with the head and arms, makes this a fun toy for play or for display. If this toy is for display purposes, the packaging itself is really awesome and I enjoyed the graphic detail of Hammond within the amber. This is a very detailed toy, the paint job reminds me of the velociraptors from the original Jurassic Park. The attention to detail includes the texture of the velociraptor's skin to the menacing eyes and its teeth. I think both children and adults alike will enjoy this toy immensely, whether it is for collecting for play and I highly recommend it to any dinosaur and Jurassic World fans.

While I am still bummed to hear Mattel’s 6 inch scale Amber Collection will be discontinued, I am more than thrilled so far with the releases in the Hammond Collection, which has seemingly taken the place of the Amber Collection. I think the raptors were the perfect dino to start out the Hammond Collection with, as they are great “army” builders for your collection shelf. Mattel has excelled so far with their dinosaurs figures since acquiring the Jurassic license years ago, producing some of the best Jurassic products us collectors have ever had. I could not be happier with this product and I can’t wait to see what else comes from this new line.
My kids thoroughly enjoyed playing with this new toy from Mattel. It is part of the Jurassic World Dominion collection. The dino we received is the Therizinosaurus. It has great effects and the body movements are really great too. The kids loved chasing each other around the house with it and other dinosaurs they previosly had. The dinosaur is very well made and well designed. Great addition to any dinosaur lovers collection.
Perfect toy for dinosaur lovers of all ages! Both my 8 y/o and 14 y/o equally loved it. Its one of those few toys they can play together with and both have fun. The dino has a lot of pros. It's realistic looking, quality made, and durable. It a great toy for imaginative play. They display it when its not being played with which works well since it has an action figure type quality to it and is very posable.
Hammond Collection figures are a must have for Jurassic fans! 3.75 scale which allows you to display with the Jurassic World toy line. The Velociraptor is a scale down version from the Amber Collection where the Raptor does not have a Top Jaw joint to make it’s mouth open wider or able to move the wrists which sucks and is a sacrifice for a smaller figure. Besides the two articulation missing and the mold reused the Hammond Collection is starting strong with the Baryonyx and Parasaurolophus figures based on the Stan Winston designs which is a spot on accurate figure and worth it for it’s Premium paint applications.
Hyperrealistic looking dinosaur figure, its on the smaller side at 3.75 inches. This Dino is multi colored in shades of browns and tan, texturized with small bumps so the skin isn’t smooth and it adds to the realism. The figure is for older kids 8 and up and is great for those who are looking to add to their existing collections as it comes alone and is not apart of a set, each is sold separately. Our kids love Dinosaurs so this was a lot of fun for them and kept their interest for a good amount of time. The figure is very articulated and has 14 points of articulation, the mouth can open and close, two points on the neck, hips and feet area all move as well as several points of articulation on the arms.
My son and daughter both love playing with this Jurassic World Velociraptor. It is the perfect size to take on the go or play at home. The Velociraptor can stand up right on 2 legs or bend down to move on the arms and legs. My children enjoy that you can open and close the mouth, rotate the head, as well as move the feet, legs, arms and hands. This is an excellent quality toy and has held my childrens’ interest for hours. Thank you Mattel for sending this free product for our honest review.
This toy dinosaur is really neat. The plastic it is made of doesn't feel like a cheap toy, it's hard to describe but it doesn't feel like a cheap one for sure. All the joints of this velociraptor move and they move well! It has some extreme movement. My three year old son wanted to take this toy to bed several nights in row already, which he only does for his really favorite toys. He actually fights over it with his sister all the time. The size is about perfect, not two small that it won't get lost, but also not to big to be cumbersome and take up a lot of space. This has really held my sons attention.
