My review of Just Dance 2023: Graphics- awesome. Deff needed a refresh, previous games were getting a little stale. Choreography- much to the disappointment of my inner ear, significantly increased amount of spinning. Iâm so glad I didnât pay full price for this game. We have a few previous versions of Just Dance for Switch that weâve enjoyed playing as a family, I decided Iâd buy the latest version and even go Unlimited for once. But 2023 version is so complicated to use. My kids and I like to play together (4 players) and thereâs no dancer cards, so my kids all get labeled âHeather 1â, âHeather 2â, âHeather 3â which is even more mixed up as âHeather 1â is controller 2, etc. Secondary players donât get to choose names or avatars or anything. My 11 year old daughter is a Just Dance fan. The first one we purchased was 2019 because that's the year she got her switch. Then we skipped 2020 and then got 2021 and 2022. I have 6 kids and they LOVE Just Dance, especially my 11 year old. We got her this for Christmas but she doesn't like it. I quote, "This game is boring. Just Dance is a fun and active game whether playing casually or with a group of people. The game has only gotten better since 2022 from the maps to the choreos to the UI. The characters now feel like they have personalities you can attach to and they have many new expressive customizations like emotes and victory animations.This game is amazing for parties especially with kids but I will say if you have a group of people who aren't willing to be very involved or active, gameplay will be shortlived.Theres a new subscription called just dance featuring more songs than the base 40. In 2022 and previous versions they had a subscription called unlimited, however its NOT the same. If you bought unlimited it won't transfer and vice versa. Id hold off til they lower the price to match the content or release new content.Despite the new subscription service, I think the base game is an amazing experience and each map has its own fresh personality with tons of replayability trying to learn each choreo and unlock all the customizations. I'd definitely recommend if you aren't afraid to break a sweat in the living room

Just like everything else anymore, there is no physical card. If your switch is like ours, then it doesn't hold a giant amount of anything without being completely full. That means you have to delete existing stuff you already paid for just to play the new stuff you paid for. Then, you have to make sure to log into your Nintendo account, then log in to your Ubisoft account to even launch this game. So instead of my kids popping a game in and enjoying it, we get to delete games, check log ins, reset passwords, wait on email confirmations, and do a bunch of other stupid things for them to attempt to enjoy the gift I bought them for Christmas. First off, this was advertised as the last annual editon of Just Dance, and they said future content would come in the form of song packs. Despite that, they just announced Just Dance 2024, so if you were gonna pick up 2023, guess you should just wait. As far as the game plays, I've had multiple disconnects in the middle of songs, which kills the vibe immediately. Songs that were on the streaming service on previous titles aren't on it for this version. Guess this isn't the definitive edition. Also the menus are GARBAGE and the game crashes completely. Ubisoft still makes poor quality games, nothing new there.

Paid for this game download for a christmas gift now left with an unusable game! my daughter has a switch lite so we activated it on her account (it was her gift) thinking she could play on my switch on her acct. she accessed the game fine but when we tried to unlock just dance + because theres like 15 songs on it, realized only the primary user can access the subscription on their PRIMARY console (which for my daughter is a switch lite). Tried to buy the subscription on MY account/console bc any user can use it on the primary console but there is no way for ME to purchase the subscription because I dont own the game. This product is only available for Nintendo switch as a download. It requires you to set up an account just to start downloading before playing. Most of the songs are only available with subscription for almost $10 a month. Songs were glitching and the game shut itself down. We purchased a switch just so we could play Just Dance 2023 and I am seriously disappointed with the selection, features and quality. We should have just downloaded the cell phone app. Our old Wii was easier start up and doesnât require a subscription. The additional songs are just versions from the previous games.
