Take just about any recent title in the Just Dance series, strip it down to its basics, toss out more questionable tracks for little ears to hear, toss in a few kid-themed tunes like the Fraggle Rock theme song and tunes by bands like the Wiggles and you have Just Dance Kids 2014.This game is great for youngsters to play as it makes them get up and move instead of just sitting around staring at a television or a smart phone. Pick up the "regular" version of Just Dance 2014 for older kids and teens. It comes with more modes, more options, and a track listing that appeals more to them. Just Dance Kids 2014 is great for the twelve and under set.

Seriously, who doesn't like dancing?? And no one loves dancing more than kids. 2014 offers fewer songs than last year's edition (I think around 9-10 fewer), but it's still enough to keep young children satisfied. I have nieces that could dance to the same song for a week and not get tired of it; so variety probably isn't going to be your top concern unless you, as a parent, don't have a place where you can hide away from repetitive music! It's nice if parents DO want to join in or control the playlist, as the game has different menus and playlist options that are tailored specifically for them to use or that can be adapted for their children's use. But it is nice that they attempted to secure some tracks from very popular kids shows. Just Dance is still the best series of dancing games for standard home consoles, and this kids version is, as with their previous kid versions, a thoughtful and welcome addition to their pantheon of releases.

Just Dance 2014, as all of its predecessors, is a great video game, but it can be a bit of a dilemma for parents. On the one hand, it's a great way to have fun as a family and to get some great exercise. There are no "Sweat Mode" and no "Mojo Points" to earn. The tracks have one set of dance steps, unlike Just Dance 2014 that has multiple routines per song. And of course, there's no "JDTV" nor online play options. You also can't create dancer cards nor track individual dancers' performances (everyone plays as "Player 1", "Player 2", and so on).The next difference is in the track list. It's not the typical fingerboards-on-the-chalkboard-please-put-me-out-of-my-misery collection of kiddie songs sung by someone who's breathed in too much helium. It actually has a soundtrack which, dare I say, is pretty "cool". You have pop songs from stars who got their starts on the Disney Channel like Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Bridget Mendler, as well as pop.

I thought this would be fun for the kids and the whole family. I was mostly right. The song choice is pretty good. There are some toddler type songs thrown in but in general most of the songs will appeal to all age groups. Not all the songs are that way but enough of them are to make me wonder if they will play it again, or just opt for the regular Just Dance we have.Overall, the game play is fun, it gets kids moving and has a good choice of songs but beware of graphics reminiscent of Baby Einstein videos.

Just Dance Kids 2014 is perfect for the whole family- especially if you have small children who are not able to do the regular Just Dance due to it's difficultly. I love my Wii and I love playing games as a family. I personally own a few other Just Dance & other brand games but most of them are not made for smaller children. For example, my little one has found the regular Just Dance to be too complicated and she can get frustrated. With Just Dance Kids she is able to play along (dance along) sings the song (due to the words on the screen) and even make her own playlist with all of her favorites.Another reason why we enjoy this game so much is do to the songs choice. LOVE IT! You choose the mode, a time setting, and a song type. For example: we like Just Dance Mode, for 15 minutes (you can pick up to 120 minutes or non-stop), younger players songs. This helps with my little one telling him we are only playing for this long and then when time is up, we are done. Yeah!Songs:I'm happy with the song selection. Like all the Just Dance games, there are a few current hits, a few oldies, a few nursery rhymes (Hickery Dickory Dock is really cute). The variety keeps it fun - such as the Hawaiian Hula style dancing in The Tiki Tiki Tiki Room.Levels:The hardest songs, which are the most current hits, are not as hard as the adult games. True to the series' pedigree, this one too offers hours of fun. However, the less-than-stellar graphics, a wide range of song choices (toddlers to pre-teens), limited functionalities of the songlist, play modes (compared to JD series) makes this an OK addition to the series. Other reviewers have pointed out the "clean" song list and the different play modes. The shuffle mode and parent mode are useful ways to define pre-set time limits and monitor the activity. But the appeal of the difficulty level and graphics is likely to be limited to pre-teens; and perhaps that is the target audience. In fact, the most fun we've had with this version is watching the 9 year old teach the 3 year old on how to dance. That was well-worth the time spent on this version. I own several Just Dance titles now and I like them all. This new Just Dance Kids 2014 is a nice addition, with songs for all ages and abilities. (The full set list is included below.) It also allows players to use existing or make their own playlists. This _Just Dance_ title has a really good range of songs for all ages, from kids to adults. There's a really good mix of songs here. Even "I Like to Move It" has a kid-ified theme, since it features kids dressed up as animals, reminiscent of the movie _Madagascar_. But there's also disco ("The Hustle"), and a low-impact "Fireflies." Even a toddler has gotten in on the fun with this (without the Wii remote)!I was concerned that the Wii might not be as accurate as more advanced game systems, which can sense a person's entire body shape. But I have been surprised at how accurate it is, with just the Wii remote to go by. It can pretty much sense if you're just faking the moves. I don't care too much for the two challenges that can be added to the songs (including a balloon pop mode). These don't really seem to add to the dancing fun for me. Also, I wish the moves were shown in a slower fashion and then one could build up to full speed, but I suppose that would take away some of the fun and frantic feel of trying to keep up when you're a newbie. Both of these factors are just being picky, though. The song list and the dances are the important things, and are quite fun.

As we already own and enjoy Just Dance Kids and Just Dance Kids 2, ordering this product, Just Dance Kids 2014 (for the Wii) was a no brainer. I'm always looking for things that my kids can do inside on rainy and/or very cold days to burn off energy. This game hits a sweet spot of being fun, somewhat educational in both a mental and physical way, and is good exercise. You basically hold the Wii remote in your right hand and dance along with the on-screen dancers. When you do a move correctly (or at least when your right arm does), you earn points. I have three children, ages 4, 6, and 8 (the middle child is a girl), and while my little girl has gotten the most use out of the first two Just Dance Kids games, all three like to dance to the songs either solo or in ... MoreAs we already own and enjoy Just Dance Kids and Just Dance Kids 2, ordering this product, Just Dance Kids 2014 (for the Wii) was a no brainer. I have three children, ages 4, 6, and 8 (the middle child is a girl), and while my little girl has gotten the most use out of the first two Just Dance Kids games, all three like to dance to the songs either solo or in competition with their siblings. So how does this year’s version compare to the earlier two? Well, to start, this year’s version has 31 songs (by my count) vice the 40+ in the earlier two Just Dance Kid DVDs. I’m not sure why there are fewer in this iteration. Gameplay changes from earlier versions appear to be evolutionary rather than revolutionary, at least to me when I played the game. So if you’ve played those earlier versions without any problems, you’ll be able to play the 2014 version, too.In general, the game offers a lot of choices as to how you play and how you can customize your play, if you want to tweak things. You start out by either entering the “Dance†or “Parental†menus. From the “Dance†menu,.
