This really is extremely good value. Well made, good optics for the price range, it really depends how much money you can afford to tie up on an item that will, probably, spend most of it's life in your camera bag. It covers pretty well the full range of ND stops from 1 to 10 with guide divisions clearly marked on the periphery. There is also the ability to back it right off where the effect is negligible, which aids re-focussing, without removing the filter. Spending a lot more money, like 5 times more, will give you an optically better filter .. but do you really need it? Any slight colour cast can easily be batch fixed in Lightroom anyway, so how much are you really going to use it? I got mine to use outdoors with small, portable, flash (strobe) units to avoid ... MoreThis really is extremely good value. Nice addition to my Meike cine lenses which use the 77mm filters. A little more flexible if you're 'run and gun' and not using a matte box for the usual glass filters. It's not a Tiffen filter, but the colour cast is minimal and easily corrected, and it's a quarter of the cost of a Tiffen filter, so for me, good value for money.

This filter was good quality and just what I was expected. Adjustments are easy to make and there is enough adjustment range. Just good.

There appear to be different specification K&F faders and this appears to be of the lower type. The optics seem fine without any serious colour cast. However, there is no hard stop for min and max fade so you have to keep an eye on the filter ring markings, although it's pretty obvious if you overshoot as the fade affect becomes patchy. More of a gripe is that there is very little thread on the front to stack more filters and that the filter's front ring is larger than its fixing thread, meaning that you can't then attach a lens hood.... at least I couldn't. You could attach the lens hood first, then the filter but this is a fiddly option. All in all good value for what I paid for it.
Unfortunately when using this filter an hour glass and X effect occurs when using the darker filter. Its a good filter when only using the smaller values. It comes well packaged too.
Ideal for shooting waterfalls, rivers, the ocean washing over rocks and surfers flying across the waves. It also facilitates a wider aperture allowing a shallow depth of field all without affecting the colour balance of the image.
Makes long exposure shots a breeze!! So much fun shooting in the sun with no worrying. So glad i purchased this product. Great buy all shooters should have in their arsonal.only thing i could complain about is that dreaded"X" mark, but i researched that x is common.
Dont waste your money, no markings to show nd number, at the toy end it does not have an even coating, producing 2 radiused darker ring that form a cross across the lense. Dont get me wrong, I have a set of 77mm K&F nd filters and they are well made optically correct.I thought I would try a slider, major fail.
Does not have s good range of adjustability on my mirrorless camera. It's either light or very dark with little greyness.
it's works well up to 50%, but past that, adds a brownish teint, weird uneven vignetting and removes most colors. definitely low quality, good for blue hour, but can't be use daytime.
