Kal Calcium Citrate Mixed Fruit Chewable - 60 ct

I recently had gastric bypass surgery, and need a good option for calcium citrate chews. These were the best price, the best quantity, and really did the trick! It's hard to know "results" of vitamins, but these were great and the flavor wasn't horrible.

A Must Have, for Me!

I have been using this product since 2006. It's a must among my Vitamin therapy. For several years it's been becoming more and more expensive. I found it at Walmart online order. YIPPEE!And at a reasonable price on my SS low fixed-income retirement. But be sure to order a week or two before you run out of your supply.It takes awhile to arrive.

Chewy Calcium

I have been looking for chewable calcium for some time now, if possible gummy version. But I can't find calcium gummies and this chewable version is the next best thing. The composition is great and easy to take rather than big capsule format that usually hard to swallow. Thank goodness for this, will continue to take to up my daily calcium intake.

I have been taking this supplement for a few weeks now, and the results have been amazing! My energy levels have increased, and I'm sleeping better at night. I feel more alert and focused throughout the day, and I would definitely recommend this supplement to anyone looking to improve their health.

Good

As far as chewable, it’s a hit or miss. The taste is most certainly there, and it’s ingredients are pretty strait forward. The quality of this product is fair due to the fact that the chewable is very chalky. The packaging is easy to open. This supplement combined with others have improved my calcium deficiency, bone health etc. definitely benefits me at my age.

One of the more decent choice for us, the fans of chewables

Sure, the taste might need a bit of improvement - it's 'mixed fruit', but it's slightly chalky and sourish. I expected it to be slightly tastier.However, I'd tolerate this considering it's not one of those awfully huge Calcium pills you often see when it comes to calcium supplements.Unfortunately, my lactose intolerance means a quick road to deficiency. Fortunately, there are products like this one to help me out in a quality way.This is the second bottle of these I'm getting. There will be a third one, soon enough!

Over priced, disgusting taste, all crumbled

After gastrectomy I need 2 calcium citrate each day for the rest of my life. At the moment it is extremely difficult for me to swallow the giant pills that are normally 300mg. It will be roughly a year post-op that I should be able to swallow the normal calcium citrates.So I’m at the mercy of opportunistic companies like KAL who know their target customers require these supplements every day. It is simply not believable that such a long established, highly lucrative business can’t figure out how to make their product taste acceptable. Flintstone figured it out. Tums figured it out. It’s not a secret.For the price, the bare minimum requirement should be each dose staying intact. Again, this is something necco wafer figured out 70 years ago. There’s no excuse for mailing me a bottle of broken dust each month. I have to sweep up what I can to estimate each dose. Shameful.KAL should be ashamed of the low quality product they offer at such an inflated price. Do better!

Product needs improved taste

I had tried calcium citrate melts (dissolve on tongue) and found them chalky tasting so I tried these chewables. The result was similar. The mixed berry flavor is much too mild to overcome the greater chalkiness! The one benefit of these is that you are less likely to choke on them vs. swallowing a large pill form of calcium citrate!

Very good, but VERY SWEET

This is a great product and perfect for those with bariatric surgery (IMO). However, for myself, I'll probably not buy this brand again. It is just TOO SWEET for me. I expected to to be similar to the low sweetness of the Country Life Chewable Calcium, but it's not. When I ingest supplements that are too sweet it can sometimes make me nauseous. I hate that feeling. So, if you don't mind, or even like, your supplements on the really sweet side - go for it - it is a very good option as far as calcium supplements are concerned, I just won't buy it again for myself because of the sweetness. It's a ust personal taste thing - not any fault of the supplement or the Kal company. Of which, I love some of their other products, like Kal's Chewable Apple Cider Vinegar Wafers.
