MEC site states the small fits sizes 52-54cm, yet the product is clearly labeled sizes 48-54cm.I’m eating return shipping on an XS as a result of thinking the Small would’ve been oversized based on the details MEC provided.Nothing negative regarding the product itself - just don’t get caught with the incorrect sizing information from MEC like we did.

Picked this up for my son, 7 now 8, and he has never complained about comfort or heat. He sweats like a madman but the big vents really help him from overheating; many youth helmets, especially cheaper ones, just don't have adequate venting for really active kids. The restraints adjust well, are good quality and stay set.

Good helmet at a good price. Has Kalis lifetime crash replacement which is nice. I bought this for a 22 month girl and she measured at the low end of the small size. I've s since bought an extra small because the helmet was too big even with the sizing chart provided to me by Kali so keep that in mind when ordering.

We had a cheap helmet for our daughter when se was learning on a balance bike but she needed something better for pedaling. The fit and quality of the Kali is great for her 4yr old head. And she loves that it is very similar to my Kali MTB helmet too! The ratcheting size adjustment for the rear strap is good for getting it on her head and then tightening it down without pulling on her hair.

It was a little big but he has grown into it nicely.It has a lot of adjustment, looks great (he loves the blue with monsters), has tons of vents to keep his sweaty little head cool and fits nice and snug making it seem very safe.We liked it So much we bought another for out second son who is 15 months younger.This was all 2 years ago.Recently the back adjuster broke on our younger sons helmet. Although they are outside of warranty I thought I would email Kali to see if we could get a replacement piece.I emailed them Saturday morning and Jon emailed me that afternoon (on a weekend!). We've got 3 kids and have been through a lot of helmets. This is hands-down the best kid helmet we've tried. It's so easy to get it to sit (and stay!) level on my daughter's head, and she doesn't complain so I guess it's probably comfortable. All future kid helmets in our family are going to be Kali, and I may make the switch myself the next time I need a new one.
We bought these for two toddlers to ride in a Honey Bee trailer. They are comfortable enough that there are no arguments to put them on or keep them on while riding. Bright and colorful with cute designs - they kids think they're "cool!" Thankfully we haven't had to find out how well they protect during an "accident." They can be adjusted to fit snuggly to give us peace of mind.
I bought this for my two year old granddaughter. The inside has only one narrow elastic band across the back that stretches to "fit" the child's head. There are no additional pads to make it smaller or larger. It clearly fits or it doesn't. Not designed to adjust at all.
I bought this for my two year old daughter. She has a bigger head and this helmet fit her perfectly. She especially loved the unicorns and stars patterns. I am so glad to have bought a helmet that will not only keep her safe but that she will want to wear.
Color, materials, and construction look good for a helmet at this price, but I had to return it because it runs very small compared to the size chart. My son's head measures 54cm (this helmet's upper limit) and it barely sat on top of his head. If your kid's head is bigger than 50cm, I recommend a different model.
