I got this unit as a Christmas gift last year to replace a GE that I loved and used for over 15 yrs. I am truly disappointed in this machine. I thought I would like the French doors yet they are cumbersome and I have burned myself numerous times on them. They make it difficult to place and remove food from the oven. It is so irritating that I'm going out to buy a new oven today because this is a NECESSITY for me. I use this oven almost exclusively daily. All that money down the drain after only 12 months. This machine cost more than DOUBLE my GE did. My GE lasted me over 15 yrs and cooked perfectly ... EVERY TIME. Will never buy another Kaloric product.

We did all that and have not had a reply in over a week. I have called the number at my expense a dozen times. NO ONE EVER answers. NO one replies to more emails. Even 3 or 4 attempts to chat on this site have gone unanswered. The phone is the most ridiculous. It prompts me to hit buttons and then I hear " sorry you are having trouble .... Wanted a large air fryer but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars for a celebrity chefs name. Saw this air fryer on sale wasn't sure of the brand so I did some research and saw this model on TV. Found out this is one of a few air fryers rated at 500° and 1700watts So I want back to BJ's and bought it. Used it for tata tots cooked in 12 minutes nice and crispy without the grease, browned eggplant instead of frying for eggplant Parm took about 15 minutes, toasted Italian bread for garlic bread time was about 6 minutes . The food does not taste like plastic (as I noted from other coated air fryers), which is why I sought a full stainless steel interior! Clean up is relatively easy. The glass French doors make for easy viewing of the food being prepared, the light is a great added feature. A cookbook was included and it has great recipes. Be sure to do an EMPTY cook cycle of the appliance BEFORE using it with food = it does give off a strong grease odor from the manufacture grease. Tip: do the 1st run near the actual stove and run the exhaust fan to pull the odor from the air. Highly recommend the product! I would not recommend this product. Bought one at the first of the year. It died after a few months. I called the company for a replacement which was a night mare. After calling the company we found there were multiple hoops we had to jump through. One was sending them a picture of the appliance hooked up to electricity showing the appliance would not turn on . Several pictures of the back showing the serial number and our receipt. After completing this they then told us we had to film cutting the electric cord close to the back of the appliance. My husband then told them we were not going to comply as we had to have a family member drive to our house and assist us with the first set of instructions. A Waste of $270.00 Australian this is good for basic tasks but never use it for spit roasts or meats that splatter no rump steaks no nothing. it has little room for the spit to turn. and cant fit a drip pan into it while roasting it. to clean all the splatter off it is impossible. the splatter hits each side including the top where the element sits. I spent hours trying to clean it. the doors inside are covered in grease and can be cleaned. Also, the metal is so so thin like about the thickness of 100 sheets of foil size. I had to clean the little drip tray at the very bottom of the unit I had to use a scourer and it has taken off a coat of whatever it had on it. Last week I cooked a lamb roast the cookbook it comes with was wrong. it said to use a very hot temperature and it burned and almost caught fire. even getting the meat off the spit from inside is hard to get out and was burned as to little room 25 litre B/S. I tried the 2nd roast and it had to cook to 170 20 - 30 CELCIUS LESS THAT TOLD TO USE me TO USE 200 B/S again, not the temperature used by instructions for the first one that burned. DO NOT buy it thinking the spit will be good. only if you are cooking non-splatter foods. I have bought a proper large spit now. and this is only good for me reheating or cooking chips or pre-cooked potato cakes maybe grilled sandwiches The whole unit is made of extremely thin metal that can bend very very easily. the thin tray you put at the bottom can not hold much drip fat you have to take it out sometimes to empty. if I were able to get the larger tray in this wouldn't happen. there is no way to put a very large chicken/Turkey in it especially Roast beef or lamb. I give this a minus 1` as a score out of 10. I class it as rubbish and a total waste of money. you'd think a large 25 litre would cook bigger roasts IT HAS NO ROOM FOR LARGE ANYTHING Don't buy it for big items to cook. maybe for 1 but definitely not for a family of 3 or more! No SPIT ROASTS I AM SO ANNOYED AT IT I LIKE TO CLEAN EVERYTHING LIKE NEW. I have a Panasonic Microwave Panasonic Dimension and it is a great little unit. only yesterday I cooked my roast in it and was quite good, especially for potatoes and vegetables anything. It has an inbuilt element that can't be seen it is hidden within. heat is blown out. and also has an inbuilt microwave. CONVECTION and the whole unit can easily clean and is more than a half times bigger than this Kaloric Garbage. I wish I never paid such a high price for junk. the size as an example you may squeeze in about 6 loves of bread into it squishing them in. you won't get a turkey in it. no family large chicken on the spit roaster. maybe using it as a pure oven you will get a turkey into it AGAIN Don't buy it for the spit roaster. unless you are just putting potatoes on the spit. your meat will burn. I bought my air fryer a little over a year ago, and the doors will not open. I haven't used it very often and now after using it during Thanksgiving the doors will not open. The results were so impressive that I decided to get one of my own. I've used the dehydration function, air fry, bake and toast functions so far...all with excellent results. I haven't used my regular or toaster oven since I received this unit. It's so fast and easy to use and doesn't generate as much external heat into my kitchen and small apartment. I'm very happy with this appliance and hope it will last me for years. Having the ability to make my own beef jerky means not having to buy anymore overpriced, mass produced stuff at the grocery store anymore. That fact alone, makes this unit worth its price.
The truth is that this is a terrible product.1. There is a large gap around the door resulting in significant heat loss while this is running, making the kitchen really hot.2. Accessories are impossible to wash, they are not non-stick in any way. They do not come clean in the dishwasher and because it operates at such a high temperature, you get burnt on food with every use and must scrub it off. The baking tray was ruined with burnt on food the first time I used it.3. French doors won't open unless you have 4 inches of clearance on either side meaning that you need 24 inches of counter space to use it.4. In the manual it says "If you're unhappy with your product... reach out to our customer happiness team ANYTIME... We will make it right!" I called the number and was told essentially my "options" were to go back in time and not purchase the product. When I reiterated that they essentially do not stand behind the product they just hung up on me which I guess is fair because I already had my answer.
We bought the MAXX complete based on a friend’s recommendation and wow!!!! We absolutely love it!!! This little appliance is so fast and efficient. It doesn’t take up much room and looks stylish with the glass French doors. It’s the only thing that’s on our counter now. I had never used an air fryer before and it has become my favourite thing over the past two weeks. The time it cuts down on cooking and clean up is so worth it. It’s so versatile and truly does eliminate several other appliances. I cant’t wait to try the dehydrate function.We bought it on cyber Monday and got a great deal, only wishing I had known how good it was at the time because I would have bought more as gifts for family. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.
