Very simple to use and a good size for a family/average size household. The bowl is very easy to clean. The first one I bought did give out after about 18 months (which was sadly outside of warranty), but the numerous good reviews suggest this was probably just a one off issue.

The cup and spoon it comes with are very convenient and I use them every time. I rinse my rice and then add about 1.5 the amount of water to it and it cooks perfectly each time. I told myself that even if it lasted a year it would be worth it for the price and I stand by that, but hope of course it lasts many years! Cons: The only tiny thing I would love to change is that I need to use a towel/oven mitt in order to stir it or scoop rice out (after it has finished) because the bowl is very hot but if I only grab the side handles the bowl moves around too much. Not a huge issue at all though.

Love this rice cooker so much! I use it for quinoa, rice, Bulga wheat and TPV. Its fantastic. I’ve now bought 5 of these in the last 20 years. The only reason is the bowl wears out with the nonstick coating coming off.
Love the Kambrook Rice Cookers! After more than 10 years, the old Kambrook Ricecooker that I inherited from my mum died, RIP. I was very happy to purchase and receive this new Kambrook electric rice cooker - this new model is very nice, and yet familiar and similar to the older version that I had had. Easy to use, easy to clean, I love that it keeps the rice warm. Better investment than a Thermomix, much easier to cook rice with this! <3 Thank you
I found it hard to find a simple on off rice cooker. All I needed was for it to cook rice (& quinoa!). This rice cooker is simple and does the trick. It comes with its own rice measuring cup and a handy steam insert but I haven't tried that yet.
We discovered about this rice cooker from a friend and we liked the size and the look. When we moved to our new place which has small countertop space, we knew we had to get this and we are so happy we did. It is not chunky and does not take so much space. And more importantly, it cooks brown rice perfectly! So happy with my purchase; highly recommended!
This is my second unit now. The first one started to chip in less than a month. We cook rice everyday and know to wash the rough, abrasive raw grains in another pot before putting it into the cooker. So we’re gentle with it but the coating still chipped. Harvey was very good about giving a replacement unit, but it’s the same story, coating is chipping away again.

It’s very small, flimsy and the steam insert is plastic not metal. I was replacing a Sunbeam I bought in the 90’s, couldn’t kill it. This one looks and feels like it’ll last a year. I guess ‘they don’t make em like they used to’ is just true of everything now. The housing, the tub, the switch, the plastic steamer, all junk. It works and does everything it says, just for how long.
