Picked this up today, didn't do the usual parking lot install, got home went to through it in and it didn't fit. Right shape but too big. Checked the box, checked the part number on CadTire website again thinking I was a dunce and bought the wrong one. Nope. The part number on CadTire is 33-2472 whereas on the K&N site the part number is 33-2960. Can't say anything bad about the filter, but check the part number on K&N, don't trust the CadTire suggestion.

I’ve been buying regular throw away filters for years now but with proper care I’m sure this will last quite some time and I won’t have to be throwing my money in the garbage literally. Comes ready to go and fits perfectly. It looks and feels like a better product than the competition. It will pay for itself by next year for sure. Got another for my other vehicle as well. Money well spent.

Diameter of filter has 3 settings 3”, 3.5” and 4”. Size is changed with the addition of rubber insert starting at 4”. 3.5” fits injen SRI but fitting it isn’t snug until you put metal band on. Would give it 5stars if insert ring is longer to allow for more sturdy/snug fit.

I love these filters, been using them for years now on multiple vehicles and have always noticed an improvement in acceleration after installation. Like that they can be reused just by cleaning and re-oiling. Latest vehicle GMC Sierra Denali with 6.2L V8 - runs on recycled dinosaurs the K&N really let’s them breathe.
Purchased for 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport. I was a bit apprehensive at first to buy as it was $138 out the door. Filter is a bit thinner than Dealer part but the feel and quality materials is what sets it apart. Honestly I didn't notice much of anything for about 3 days , I figured maybe the computer needed adjustment time and sure enough. I drive about 18km each way twice a day for work. My trip summary used to show 13-14.6L/100km, after the install and adjustment I'm seeing mostly 12.2- 13L/100km.That to me it's already paid for itself and it's reusable so more savings later on. I've uses K&N filters on my Harley Davidsons, my Camaro and my Trucks. They seem to give a minor increase in performance and a mile or two per Canadian gallon increase in mileage. (yes I'm old school). You still have to clean and re-oil them properly at recommended intervals. The one I purchased recently has a minor manufacturing defect with a small tear in the rubber that keeps the steel insert that keeps the seal rigid, but it installed ok. May have to return it if the tear becomes larger when performing cleaning and re-oiling.
Put this filter in my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado in the hopes I would never have to buy another filter. Drove 1000km, truck started bogging, then the check-engine light came on. Besides the filter, nothing had changed. Mechanic told me that the oil from the filter can enter the air stream into the engine and coat the mass airflow sensor. When the engine management system doesn't get a proper reading from this sensor, it triggers the check-engine light. Returned this product, got a standard paper filter. Replaced the sensor and no more issues ever since. The filter may work on other vehicles, but mine didn't like it.

I recently got my first Diesel and I found it was a little lacking down low and off the line. I did a ton of research on Cold air intakes and with these rams they’ve designed a baffle into the intake tube. This helps muffle intake noise but also gets the air streaming into the turbo for more efficient boost. Most cold airs do not have this so performance air filter was the cheaper and more appropriate option it was money well spent. My turbo spools way faster all the way through the power band so nice for hills and passing. Gave me all that I was looking for without voiding my warranty!
It was not in stock in the store, the filter did arrive the a few days later and the box was rough looking. The K & N stickers in the box were destroyed from the filter pulled in and out of the box. The filter may have been used and then returned? Don't know. It smelled a bit like gas. But since i already removed my paper filter i had to insert the K&N and use it. It fit fine and works. My intention was to save on replacing paper filters regularly. It was cheaper then purchasing it at that on line place with white van delivery. If it was cost alone, 5 stars. Canadian Tire though doesn't understand customers don't want to waste time returning items and running back and forth to the store. Especially for items like this.
