K&N powersports oil filters contain a modern synthetic filter media, designed for ultimate flow with less pressure drop, yet engineered for outstanding filtration. K&N powersports 'spin-on' oil filters feature a heavy-duty metal can. Most of thesehave a 17 mm nut affixed onto the end that allows for easy installation and removal. The 17 mm nut is crossed-drilled so racers can safety wire the filter to their bike.

The oil filter is perfect. There hasn't been one thing I've gotten from Rocky Mountain that hasn't been right on key perfect! Everything is easy to shop online. And if you call in to order a product the people can't be more helpful. I order parts on a steady basis and I won't order anywhere else again. I get my parts so quick and the whole situation is so convenient with Rocky Mountain ATV/MC.-m-2005 HONDA TRX 450R--

There sure are! But I like the K&N brand. So why penny pinch on a vital part of your engine protection? Don’t be that guy that thinks you’re smarter than everyone because you saved $2 on an oil filter. When it comes to filters do the right thing and buy quality. It’s like buying a $100 helmet. Filter media is of great quality

Filter media looks to be of great quality but the bypass isn't nearly as smooth to operate as the factory Honda unit, as I'm writing this I realized it wasn't a fair comparison. The Honda unit was oiled up and the K&N was fresh out of the box. I'll check it when I pull it out (said no one ever) in 1200 miles or so and try to remember to update this review. The filter media looks to be synthetic so I'd bet you could go multiple oil changes on one filter but for the cost, why bother. The engine oil filter pictured is a K&N for a '21 Talon

Good filter
30 October 2017

I normally run the Neutron Filters sold here on RM, but the Neutron for my YZ250f was a metal screen type material that I could see through.. this didn't sit well with me. Its on my shelf in emergency back up status. I bought the K&N because of the quality. these are no different than the filters I used run in my KTM RFS, very well made. Wish the price point was better, but at least I only have to buy one in this instance.-m-2001 YAMAHA YZ250F--

Good filter. Good price.

Quality oil filter at a very reasonable price. Love the "nut" built in for easy on and off. These are the only oil filters I'll be using. As a side note. I use Rotella T6 diesel 5w-40. I'm not affiliated with them in any way but just putting it out there. Everyone has their own opinions regarding the best oil to use. From my research it's like when someone decided to start slicing bread.

K%26N is a trusted name by many. That 17mm "nut" on the end makes it nice to remove and install. One order from Walmart and I have my oil and filter, quick and easy.

K&N oil filter for Polaris Ranger SxS

Absolute genius to put a nut on the end of this filter to make it a breeze to install/remove, especially in the constricted area of my Polaris Ranger SxS. No more cussing & busted knuckles. Only filter I'll ever use. K&N quality just a plus.

Poor Design and Quality Control
23 July 2015

I purchased 2 K&N oil filters (KN-112) for my 2008 Kawasaki KLX 140L. They were delivered very quickly. However, the boxes holding the filters were different sizes, so I checked the filters. The filters were the same dimensions, but the holes on the engine side were indented differently. I checked the actual labels on the filters, and discovered that one was made in Korea and the other was made in China. I drove to my Kawasaki dealer and they showed me the OEM filter. The OEM filter was indented differently than either of the K&N filters. I purchased the OEM filter from the dealer.Machine this part was bought for: 2008 KAWASAKI KLX140L

Typo in labeling.
6 March 2022

General description "K&N Air Filter Canister" should be labeled " K&N Oil Filter Canister" in the "Features and Benefits" section for this post it clearly states it is a oil filter and works best with synthetic-blend. How ever if their is synthetic-blend of Air please ship it ASAP. Thanks
