Superb service!!Ordered and recieved a kask protone helmet. Cheapest price around by a long shot. Arrived to ROI in 6 days. Turns out the large was too big so i contacted love cycling tech using their instant chat and got an instant response :+1: I ordered the helmet in medium and paid again and recieved it and a refund for the original within a week no problems and no charge for return (just had to pay return shipping) helmet had increased in price in the meantime but they honoured the original price no questions asked. Really pleased with the whole experience. Incredibly professional service :+1::+1: will be using again in the future..... My head is 59cm and just fit the medium perfect , any bigger and my head wouldn't fit but the large felt miles too big.... Show more

Super light, very comfortable , great price and serviceBought to replace a crash damaged Mojito, which performed it's job admirably. It was between this Protone and a POC ventral, but with the great prices at lovecyclingtech the Kask came in £50 cheaper, and my experience with the Mojito gave me confidence in the brand, so the Protone it was.No regrets at all - boy is this helmet light and comfortable and I hardly notice I'm wearing it at all.. Lovecyclingtech had the best price on the internet by far and the free delivery was really quick too - dispatched straight away and arrived within 3 days.I also received near instantaneous responses to my email queries from Andrew (thanks Andrew!), so customer service is top notch too. Excellent in so many ways
Seen others wearing theses and read the good reviews so when the cradle on my old Giro broke I triad one on.Overall fit and comfort are on a different level to other helmets I've had. It's not that the padding is particularly thick it just fits the shape of my head extremely well. Lighter weight also makes a surprisingly noticeable difference. size large is 264g compared with older helmet at 317g. but it doesn't feel flimsy, build quality isexcellent. One surprising bonus from the "aero" design is that wind noise around the helmet is much quieter. I've often been taken by surprise in country lanes by cars approaching from behind whereas with this helmet I hear them coming. It's a safety aspect I've never seen mentioned and never considered.... Great but hot!
So long term review of the kask Protone. I have a rounder head and find the fit perfect and secure. The leather effect strap is comfortable and does not come loose. It fits well with my Oakley sun glasses. They also fit into the vents perfectly, and do not move, they are also high enough so when in the drops they do not interfere with my vision, as found on alot of other helmets. The pads seem well made although one of the back sticky pads around the rear cradle fell off. The only thing I do not like about this helmet is that it is hot. From the first crit I did at CP to the cafe ride I find that the front pad just does not do its job effectively, meaning my glasses are always full of sweat, basically meaning I cannot see through them. Ive had cheaper helmets that work more effectively. So all in all, a great fitting helmet that if had better sweat management I would have given 5 stars. Unfortunately its got to a point where I need to change it, as I cannot stand having sweat in my glasses 20 minutes into a ride.... Show more

Great helmet but not without faults.
This is my everyday helmet that I bought as an all rounder, and I have a few hundred miles in it now. It wasn?t as comfortable as I was let to believe it would be, but it?s not bad. I think it?s a shape problem and the back of the retention system digging into the back of my head. Also, the removable cushions tore out the Velcro holding them in place when I removed them to wash. Definitely not something that should happen with a helmet this expensive. Thankfully I managed to stick the Velcro back down, but I?m not sure if this is a real solution yet. At this moment, I feel like the helmet is pretty cool (temp), decently comfortable, semi-aero, but you?re paying mostly for aesthetic with the price as compared to other brands? helmets with equal features.... Kask Protone Helmet - Highly recommended
This is the second Kask helmet I have purchased and, having tried offerings from numerous other brands, have to say that it will take an awful lot to shift my allegiances. The fit is slightly bigger than I expected (only a touch) but in terms of aesthetics and comfort, the helmet suits my needs perfectly. No mushroom head/pea on a drum visuals, the helmet sits low and seems to surround my head, this may not be to everyone’s taste but I felt secure and it certainly did not interfere with vision (or with the glasses I wear).Wind noise was less than with my Vertigo (a bonus) and the adjustments meant I could easily get a secure and comfortable fit. Sadly I don’t ride quickly enough to comment on any aero gains but wearing the Protone certainly made me feel like I was ... Professional Review from Cycling Plus Magazine
With its high profile appearance on the heads of some Team Sky riders just before the Tour de France, Kask’s Protone immediately became both interesting and desirable. Its very rounded shape looks slippery with no protruding ridges or peaks, just subtly sculpted curves that flow between the vents. From the front it looks like a conventional road helmet, while the rear resembles a road aero lid, with covered upper section and rounded tail. Its skull-hugging compact profile is the result of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) design and wind tunnel testing, and it’s certainly less bulky than some, though still has a complete Multi In Moulded polycarbonate shell covering the reinforced EPS core. The diminutive dimensions belie its spaciousness. Our 251g medium fitted ... Our 251g medium fitted well, even with a skull cap, when we’d usually wear large. The Octo Fit retention system offers a huge adjustment range, the occipital pads moving vertically and laterally, and a rotary dial tightens a headband that doesn’t foul your glasses. Achieving a perfect fit is simple, and the comfy eco leather chinstrap keeps everything secure.Internally, the 5mm-thick 3D Dry multilayer open cell padding is antimicrobial treated, and perforated to reduce skin contact, with a CoolMax pad at the front. It all wicks sweat effectively, but even on hot days is superbly ventilated by the phenomenal airflow drawn through the eight forward facing vents; no subtle, compromised waft, but several jets of air channelled evenly across the head to six large exit ports. The Protone was designed to maintain aerodynamics and airflow in any common riding position, and however you move your head, it remains consistent. We can’t verify aero performance, but with many helmets, dipping or turning your head creates an obvious increase in wind noise, whereas the Protone is incredibly quiet and unobtrusive, and just feels fast.... Semi Aero not for hot days
in a temperature range from 10 to 30 degrees this would be fine. i have a large Jaw and the lack of adjustablility of the straps meant that the fasteners were uncomfortable. the clasps and the chin strap are in my opinion too big; thin straps are all you need. No Mips! finally the front padding is substantial andwould in time fill with sweat, something i don't like. Fit for an oval head is VERY good. If you don't sweat excessively, this is a great helmet, although i don't think the aero claims are really as good as are claimed. I have not ridden with this helmet.... Show more

The ultimate all rounder!
Great looking helmet that I’ve wanted for a couple of years. Now more affordable but still look great.Very well made and comes well packaged with a really handy padded bad that I can keep my helmet, mitts and glasses in better rides. The padding looks high quality and is all moulded to size in a nice red finish. The adjustment is also good - I opted for the medium with a 56cm head. The cage pulls down and cradles the back of your head. I really like the leather chin strap.Lastly this works really well with glasses. I have a couple of options with vent holes with my Oakley Radar Ev’s.Overall a great purchase that I have no regrets about. Thanks Sigma!... Show more
