I bought these online as my usual ones seem discontinued. I use them for work so these are a little light weight for that and look slightly too smart for me. Hiking would be good. The grey colour is a bit stark. See how they go.

I buy lots of items from Kathmandu and all are good high quality. This is a high quality pant that fits well, I bought them for the formal style, but it did not like the clammy feeling of the nylon, i think its the water repellancy that makes them clammy. This is a very personal attribute and others will find the feel ok. I only buy " moisture wicking" polyester/nylon clothes because these have a more natural feel about them.it would be great if Kathmandu dropped the water repellancy and made them moisture wicking with a feel as close to Chinos. Great fit. Very comfortable with just the right amount of stretch. Fabric feels nice against skin on legs. He loves them

I have 2 pairs of these pants the cream & a black pair. On a recent trip to Europe they were invaluable. Comfortable, light, quick drying & crease resistant. All you want in a travel pants.
These are just the best. Great all rounder. There's a reason why they were designed for long haul flights, comfortable, smart , stylish. Easy wash with little ironing required as a great material with some elastain in the cotton blend. Which provide form and fit yet with enough give in "those areas"Jeans?? Ha never again. Not even at home.These are fast drying, lightweight , packable ,outstanding choice for travellers across the board.I'v 3 of them , one pair i use for work as I move alot bending, crouching etc working as an OT assistant.
I used to love these pants but the new version, I don't know how I feel about it.Firstly they changed the sizing, it used to be S, M, L and so on, and they changed that to numbered sizing.Secondly, I ordered Navy Blue, I don't know who chose the colours for the new version because now Navy Blue is Grey.The material is also slightly different so I have to re-review them after a year to see how they compare to the old version.The low rating is because I cant get over how bad the new Navy Blue looks.
I bought this pant together with the Flinders hiking pants. Both were made of the same material. He website says that thus product is durable. However, within a week of wearing, there's wear and tear appearing in the crotch area, and the fabric seems to have faded at the spot. By contrast, the Flinders hiking pants is still looking durable. Sometimes, Kathmandu produces scrappy stuff that wears easily. Thanks to the staff at Southland who listened to me and allowed me to get a refund.
I wanted a pair of pants that had a denim jeans look to it, while having all the functionalities of a good pair of hiking pants. Durable water repellent, quick drying, highly breathable (perfect for summer), stretchy for mobility. All while styled like a great pair of tapered denim jeans! Couldn't have asked for a better design.
Brought for my husband, he said the look and feel of these pants are great, very comfortable. Sizing appears to be correct and a far selection of colours. Material is soft with some stretch. overall 5 stars.
Great lightweight pants that I bought for travel to a hot humid climate where I needed some dress long pants as well. Perfect for that and will use them at home in NZ for work, casual wear and walking as well. Versatile and tidy.
