Perfect for my planned overseas travel with Intrepid. Wanted something light, giving me the option to pull or carry. Has good volume inside the bag. Several parts of my travel require a *soft* bag. Looks great. Good price while on sale. Feels well-made

This bag slopes forward when it’s upright and looks like it’s going to tip over. Doesn’t feel stable at all, no idea why. I’ve had a Kathmandu small trolley bag before and it was super durable, this one feels like a cheaper version. I’d be more annoyed if I paid full price.

I've been dragging this baby around since 2016. Europe ,Egypt, Morocco, Asia. It's done about 15 overseas trips, not to mention weekends away and Aussie holidays. I use the soft packing cubes to keep my stuff organised inside it. It carries a heap of stuff. It only It could talk it would tell some awesome travel stories. It's looking a bit beat up now but still functions perfectly. If I could make one recommendation to buyers, get the black. You'll have it for years and the black doesn't show the dirt (oops, travel dust)

I have the 50litre Hybrid Trolley and my wife has the 70litre.In something like 15 years of travel, being dragged all around the world they have been perfect for us. We have the gluon small knapsacks that can be attached that we use as our carry on luggage. They look as good today as they did when we first purchased them. It was only this year that we had to finally replace the wheels (at a very reasonable $19.95 per set).I must admit that we have never actually knapsacked them. We either wheel them or carry with the well positioned side handles. All around, highly recommended
Reviewing the 70litre trolley after its first trip, but that was a 3month RTW, so plenty of use. Bought on special, have never paid full price for anything from Kathmandu.I thought that the volume may have been too much, but managed to fill it, even had to overflow a little into my carry-on. Still the correct choice. The wheels were sturdy over numerous steps and cobblestones, and being rubber-ish were much quieter that the solid ones on my wife´s 2-wheel suitcase. It is sturdy, having been lugged up and down stairs, escalators, trains, boats, cars, and many airport carousels. In fact received bad scuffing on one but did not tear or drop a stitch. Whilst it never exceeded 17kg, I chose this as it has a padded waistbelt, which many other brands did not. To be honest ... MoreReviewing the 70litre trolley after its first trip, but that was a 3month RTW, so plenty of use. To be honest I never used it as a backpack, did not need to, so cannot review that aspect. I just wanted the ability to do so, even with a size and weight penalty. The downsides are that like some others found, it can tilt at an angle when fully loaded that may tip it over. Also the single post handle is less comfortable, less stable and less manoeuvrable than a two-poster, like on the other suitcase. I often wheeled them both at the same time, and could easily feel the difference. However given the size and weight penalty of a two-post handle, I can live with it.Also as per other reviews, I checked the base and found it scuffed on the seam along the axle line. Did not let go yet, but I would think that after repeated use, this is where it would split. Will re-inforce it.Overall, definitely recommend this product. I am a 65yo former backpacker, and this was my first time with a wheeled trolley. Whilst I have no other trolley to compare it to, I am convinced that it was an ideal choice.
I bought this bag just before a 1 month world trip. It’s been tested thoroughly going through about 8 airports, on and off trains, subways, trams, along cobble stone roads, etc. I walked with it in rainy conditions too and it was great to see the fabric repelling the water. The extendable handle is strong and durable- I used it a few times to physically lift the bag up stairs. The wheels worked well without any issues. I didn’t use the backpack straps so I can’t comment on this feature, as I found the bag handles and wheel options suitable for travel. After all the flights and baggage handling through airports it still looks amazing with very few marks or damage. While it has a generous capacity of 70L, the shape and size meant it fit really well into subway trains ... MoreI bought this bag just before a 1 month world trip. Similar to what other people seem to have experienced, the bottom tore completely open on its first use in a euro trip. My partner had an 8 year old Black Wolf equivalent that was completely fine going over the exact same surfaces. Was told warranty wouldn’t cover it due to it being likely a user fault, and they wouldn’t know how much it would cost to fix it until the bag was sent in.I bought this thinking it was the best hybrid bag out there, save your money and don’t make the same mistake as me.
I purchased one 9 years ago and it’s still going strong. I have now passed it down to my daughter to use and bought myself a new one. So handy to have wheels and backpack. Wheels and rough surfaces or stairs can be a real pain. And only having straps can be difficult especially in places like Japan where it’s considered rude to wear a backpack on trains. Best of both!!
I already have this model in the 50l size but wanted one with more capacity. Looks great although not used yet. The back straps will only be used rarely as on this size if bag wouldn't be comfortable for long! I like the brand and as the previous bag has stood up well over many trips, I'm confident/hopeful this will be the same. The price on Absolute Snow was the best in market and delivery was very quick (and free) with updates on when it would arrive. Very pleased with my purchase.
I bought this bag for my overseas travels, but after just one trip, I won't be taking it again. It's design means that when it is packed, it becomes unstable in any sort of turn and swivels on the handle. Dosn't matter how you brace for it, it's a swiveller. Wheels also should be larger. Very disappointing. Would return it if I could!
