A great coat for everyday rainy situations.
I recently wore my coat for the first time and it met all expectations. I had a reasonable weight jumper under so was warm; it provided good wind protection; is very good length and the hood rolls neatly into the collar. The cuffs with Velcro take a bit of getting used to but hey! Love the colour -gum leaf.... Show more

Amazon
Hey Kathmandu, this isn't the review you are hoping for but...I won't be able to review my recent purchase of the Women's Andulo 2-Layer Rain Jacket until I raise the funds necessary to get back to a biodiversity station in the Amazon. I bought the jacket in the faith that I will get there and need to replace a few key items in preparation. Is there any chance you would be interested in helping fund my way in exchange for good will through publicity? I have a core project in mind, a history in environmentalism, and plenty of work evidence in the Amazon with Nature and Culture. Can we chat?... Show more

Andulo Women's Rain Jacket
Wore this for the first time yesterday in consistent rain on a long bushwalk and actually stayed dry. I was skeptical about how well it would weather the rain, and was so pleased with the result. Lots of compliments about the lilac colour.... Show more

Comfy and lightweight
I've only ever used the pocket compact rainjackets from Kathmandu previously and have always wanted to get a "real" one. Got this beauty on sale and it's fabulous. The inside layer stops you from getting that gross raincoat-stuck-to-your-arms feeling and it's stylish enough that I wear it as an outer layer on days it's not even raining! An excellent buy, can't wait for more rainy days now :)... Show more

Great features, comfy and practical
Great rain jacket. Looks nice, plain but smart. Effective in heavy rain. Good bottom coverage and top of legs. Hood stays on and toggles work to adjust the fit. Love that it has pockets. Very roomy. Size 10 easily fits me (60kg, 171cm, usually size 10-12) and could have several warm layers underneath. Velcro tabs are both convenient for a quick stick down if only needing to dash in the rain but also annoying as the Velcro gets stuck to other things... Show more

Great replacement for my old Kathmandu one
Love this jacket. I had my previous Kathmandu ngx rain jacket for 13 yrs, until it started loosing it’s lining and waterproofing! This is a fabulous replacement. Water beads off it, fabric feels nice, has mesh fabric lining, shape is good, hood can easily stow away in the neck, perfect red for the chilli pepper colour! Quite large fitting (my old one was a Sz 10, the new one is a Sz 6) the hood seems to be a decent size, though still not big enough to accomodate a messy bun. Overall very happy with my purchase, especially at sale price of $100.... Show more

Nice colour and packs well
Great waterproof jacket and a light wind jacket too. Packs down into bottom of backpack easily. I left one star off for the lack of pockets- there’s only one on each outside, I’d prefer another on the inside. Plus the middle Velcro gets caught on the Velcro left sleeve all the time, if jacket isn’t done up- not really bad just a bit annoying.... Show more

Not as water proof as was told
I purchased this jacket after being assured by the shop assistant that it was tested and proved in west coast rain to remain waterproof for 3 days. Given that I live in the west coast I thought it was a bold statement and I assured the shop assistant that I would pass on if what she said was in fact true. Well it is not!! I wasted my money on a jacket that was not waterproof after one day of light to moderate rain on the heaphy track. By day 2 of the same conditions it was nothing more that a wind break. Kathmandu I once held you in the highest regard by over the years your once amazing quality products have reduce to poor quality, overpriced cheaply made overseas. I have wasted money on your products for that last time. I will not be back.... Show more

Not waterproof and not breathable
Bought this jacket thinking it was a raincoat. It is not. The water gets through. You get hot and sweaty when wearing it only for a short time eg a walk from the house to the car. Very disappointing and a waste of money... Show more

Used to be better
This is my 3rd Andulo rain jacket. The last one I purchased around 2018 from memory and I love that jacket, kept me warm and dry all over the world. This one - overall, slightly disappointing. Unfortunately I've outgrown my old jacket, so decided to purchase another of the same name. Well, this Andulo may have the same name, but is not the same jacket. Material feels cheaper, little trims are not as well executed, and they have opted for cheaper finishes like getting rid of the inside pocket, and using velcro to stash the hood instead of a zip - which is much tidier and comfortable as it keeps the collar shape nicely. It fits and keeps me dry, although it is brand new, so that should be expected. I have my doubts it will go for 6+ years the way my older one has. If ... MoreThis is my 3rd Andulo rain jacket.
