This item is absolutely fabulous! it is a beautiful colour, lightweight, warm and feels gorgeous when wearing. I would have no hesitation in purchasing it in another colour to swap and wear on a daily basis! (shame I couldn't get hold of a baby blue on in the sale too) LOVE IT! delivery was quick and efficient too.

I bought the epiq 550 4 years ago and needed to update. Got the epiq 600 in the same size but the jacket body and arms are both shorter which is annoying. I preferred the cuffs on my original jacket too as the new design sometimes gets caught in the sleeve. Quality also not as good as my 550 with some loose threads. Might be my last Kathmandu jacket purchase if quality and sizing doesn’t improve again. It feels like a cheaper jacket / not as well made unfortunately. But on the positive I like the new colours which are available.

Just bought the peach/black epiq hooded 600fill jacket. I'm happy with it but here's some points for consideration (esp for buyers who alr have 550 fill):1. It has a new cut from the 550fill, I'm 157cm and wear size 8 and was surprised that when I stretch out my arms the sleeves actually are quite short for my height. The cut is definitely more cropped at the sleeves and hip compared to the previous 550fill (which I also own)2. Despite being 600fill, take note the tag says it's 80% duck feather compared to 85% duck feather in the 550fill. Not sure if this is a downgrade, but subconsciously it did feel less warm compared to my 550fillAgain, I'm happy with this current jacket, but it would get 5 stars if it wasn't for these issues. I love this jacket. It's warm, comfortable and breathable. I like the light blue colour, although it is definitely less bright than on the website (same with the yellow lining). Only thing I'd change would be to make the whole end of the sleeve elasticated instead of just the inside part. As it is, the outer jacket can get in the way of my hands while doing things.
This is a warm lightweight jacket but feathers do come out easily and it thins over a short period of time. So this is not a long lasting product considering the price. It also requires washing with down wash which is not readily available from local stores.
Recently travelled with a family group and my daughter in law had one of these jackets. It was so light and folded to nothing at all, yet was so warm, I couldn't miss the opportunity to own one. I travel frequently and this is now one of my absolute must packs.Lovely and light, yet warm, and true to size.

In the past I’ve had the lightweight jacket (I did buy a new one with this purchase) and decided to get the warmer one as well.Great choice!I’m a size 8 and bought the size 8 which is true to size PLUS still able to layer underneath with a fleece jacket or light sports jacket.Washes well also.
I love this jacket so much that I also bought the longer version. As a teacher who regularly has playground duty in the cold, I needed a jacket that could keep me warm and comfortable. This jacket is like a cosy sleeping bag giving me a big cuddle. I get home from a long day at work, still wearing my jacket until my house warms up, and I have to be careful if I lay down on the lounge wearing it..... I'm so cosy and comfortable in it that I fall asleep way too easily. I liken it to a child's weighted blanket giving comfort to a child with heightened sensitivities....not that this is a heavy jacket, however the comfort and soothing effect is absolutely blissful. Oh, and I receive so many compliments wearing it!
I was expecting a puffer jacket similar to the one I bought 12 years ago when khatmandu puffer jackets were all the rage but I was disappointed. This jacket is very thin and not warm enough so it wasn't what I was looking for. It also smells REALLY bad. When I took it out of the bag it reeked badly of fish. The shop said that was normal and to air it out so I did so for several days. The smell settled to an unwashed dog smell so for me its unwearable. Unsure whether washing it would help as if i do that i cant return it. Will be returning to shop for refund
Bought one as a birthday gift for my sister in-law. She LOVES it. I LOVED it so much I bought one for myself, one for my son and one for my husband! These Easter sales are HOT!!!Thank you to the store manager in Rouse Hill Shaz who showed me all of the different products, the best sellers, and took the time to explain the differences between the jackets.
