I bought this ink to try with my Hobnichi Techo planner, and I'm so pleased with it. There is almost NO bleed-through (a problem I was trying to fix) and the drying time is pretty reasonable, considering the Tomo River paper always takes a little longer. It's not too light to be readable and I find it to roll out smoothly and pleasantly. I'll definitely be buying more!

Nice color of green and a smooth, wet flow with a medium or broader nib on virtually any type of paper. Finer nibs write well depending on the paper — scratchier on cheap notebook paper, but very nicely on heavier, smoother paper. The nice thing about these cartridges is that they can be used in any fountain pen that accepts standard international cartridges — regardless of maker. For an added bonus, once the ink has been used, the cartridge can be flushed and cleaned with water, then refilled with any fountain pen ink using a pen syringe.

Smokey Grey could bear (and has borne, to see some of the other reviews) the brunt of some fair criticisms based on context. I would not recommend this as anyone's primary ink because it's highly sensitive to context: primarily, shade and absorbency of paper. I use white, not ivory, and moderate to aggressively absorbent paper. The white is an obvious choice for contrast; the absorbency preference has much less to do with visual effect and more to do with nib choice. This ink pairs well with a broad nib, which delivers a swath wide enough to compound the color sufficiently. In other words, using a smaller nib probably leaves the grey looking less opaque than one would want it to. Of course, kudos to Kaweco for not making "a variation on black" and for actually ... MoreSmokey Grey could bear (and has borne, to see some of the other reviews) the brunt of some fair criticisms based on context. Of course, kudos to Kaweco for not making "a variation on black" and for actually nailing it with true grey. For those who want a hue that's refined and staid but not cliched, this is a solid choice. Just make sure it has the right equipment because, like any niche product, it's not going to "plug-and-play" well with a wide variety of contexts.

Due to my addiction to fountain pen, I bought a new one last week and green and grey ink to go with it (Slytherin for the win). And the green one is perfect. The color is wonderful, though not everyone might not like the way it shades from darker to lighter sometimes. I decided to write a whole notebook with this ink only, and i ran out of my first cartridge after eleven pages. I'm 100% satisfied.
Exactly the shade of green I was hoping for, not too kelly, not too forest - just a really solid - gorgeous green. Fit in my new Kaweco perfectly and got to writing immediately! Customer service at Goulet is second to none, I had fast shipping and well packed, and you could tell there was love put into it! Thank you so much!!
A little too light in the colour itself. I would like it to be darker. But nevertheless, it's a special colour.
I bought these in the hope that they would work with a 20 year old fountain pen from another shop. They work perfectly and the colour is lovely. Very happy.
The ink in the cartridge takes a bit time to saturate the feed because it's a bit difficult to squeeze with its' short length when installed in a fountain pen with a long grip section. The ink itself is a nice green, not too dark nor too light; Kaweco does a good job naming their inks appropriately. Sometimes has shading; depends on your pace and writing style. The ink does bleed through standard fountain pen paper mildly, not as much as Kaweco Summer Purple though.
So, I will preface this by saying that I don't care for the color much. I find it to be lighter than I was expecting. This isn't to say that it's a bad color -- just not my cup of tea.As far as the ink is concerned, it is a very nice-flowing, nice-writing ink. It is a little on the drier side and compliments my wetter pens well. Especially my Kaweco pens. There is some shading to be had with think ink, but it's very faint. My only qualm is the color.
