I am so glad I bought this sandal. I’ve worn it for two days now (just received it last week) and no pain or chaffing at all. I had ankle surgery and I was concerned that the strap would irritate where the hardware is under my skin, but it sits underneath my ankle comfortably and no irritation. This sandal is than any walking shoe I’ve had. It doesn’t tip the ankle or flop off the foot but conforms to it snugly. I thought they would only be for in the country but I’ve also worn these in smart casual in the city and they still look great. Definitely recommend!

I was confused by other reviews which said these run small so I ordered an 8 and 8.5. I was surprised that the size 8 fit perfectly. FYI, there's a neoprene in the toe box area. I think it's fine, but it's different than other Keens I have. Overall, I think these are cute, slimmer sandals that I'll be able to wear with a lot, including a casual dress. Good purchase.

Initially bought these for a white water rafting trip, I like the closed toe aspect, also wanted a sandal that would dry fast, wear well when wet and have good traction. I thought I may have to break the sandal in (boy, was I wrong) so I wore them around the house. They are so comfy! I decided to wear them for my walks (daily, 3-5 miles) and I'm so glad I did. These are great, my feet aren't sore or tired after my walks. I has been challenging to find a good sandal to walk in, I don't like wearing shoes to walk in during the summer because it is so hot, my feet need to breathe. These are just fantastic!I saw other reviews about the size being small. I wear a 7, that is the size I bought and they fit great! I know they can be machine washed, I prefer to hand wash them... not for any particular reason though. I leave them in front of a fan to dry, and they dry quickly.I bought the dusty lavender color, consistently receive compliments. I'm thinking about buying the coal color as well. I have the whisper sport sandal, two pairs of shoes and a snow boot made by Keen. You can't go wrong with foot wear from this company! Give them a try, your feet will thank you!

This is my go-to sandal for warm weather. I have an average width toe and a very narrow heel, so open heeled sandals/mary janes are ideal for me. I have not had any of the fraying issues the negative reviews mentioned, and I am on my second pair. The first lasted about two years of heavy use - almost everyday wear for the entire summer season.Although probably not structured enough for big hikes, these shoes are great for just about everything else. They are stylish enough to wear to work and go great with skirts, shorts, and long pants. The closed toe is incredibly protective - it can withstand major bumps - and it also provides enough warmth for me to wear them in an air conditioned office without getting too cold, while still providing enough ventilation for ... MoreThis is my go-to sandal for warm weather. The closed toe is incredibly protective - it can withstand major bumps - and it also provides enough warmth for me to wear them in an air conditioned office without getting too cold, while still providing enough ventilation for 100 degree days. They are supportive enough to wear on long walks over fairly even terrain and flexible enough for more delicate footwork. They pack up small and flat for travel. They do well in wet weather, have great traction when wet, and recover well from being submerged, although they take a while to dry off. I especially love them for sailing. This sandal does fit tighter than my other Keens - I wear my usual size (7), but in these I have to go barefoot, and they are very snug, whereas in my heftier Keen hiking sandals I can wear a boot sock for extra protection and support and still have some room for adjustment. If you want a looser fit, definitely size up.Highly recommended!
I bought these over 3 years ago in-store while looking for some durable sandals to get me through a Vegas conference. I have very fat/wide feed that have never been suited to other Keen styles, but these fit like a glove with absolutely no friction points. The ankle strap expands enough to accomodate my ankles when the Caribbean heat and humidity make them swell, and the design of the leather straps running up to the toes is just right to avoid cutting into my feet when they're plumped up at the end of the day.Thank goodness REI stores all my purchase history so it was easy to find them again! These have taken me all over the world, from client visits and conferences to deep woods and beach hikes. They've been in water and out, and they've even done some impromptu bouldering. They've been sweat in, "anointed" by cats, and sent through the washer/dryer with Nature's Miracle more times than I can count. Really, I'm just looking to replace them for cosmetic reasons, as they are looking too scruffy to wear for work now, but I'll probably keep this pair for my more rugged needs since they're still going strong!
I was looking for a good pair of kayaking sandals, when I chose these. I chose these over one of the open toe varieties because when kayaking there are often rocks and uneven surfaces in the parking lots when unloading the kayaks at the boat ramps. My foot feels very secure in these and they have a fairly decent grip on the bottom. I chose the raspberry color and it looks cute enough I would actually wear these as traveling sandals as well. Many "outdoor" sandals just end up looking too chunky to want to wear with everyday outfits but these are cute and comfertable. I have very crabby feet, a slightly wide toe bed, a narrow heel, and a slightly flat foot, and my my heels get very sore after walking for awhile. I bought my normal sandal size 6 1/2. If I would have sized up to a 7 I think I would have found them to be a bit big which would not have been good once the foot bed got wet. If I buy another pair of these strictly for everyday wear, I may size up to the 7 so to have alittle be of extra wiggle room, but I feel like they may end up stretching out alittle bit with wear. I would definitely recommend these!
These are excellent sandals and I'm placing an order for my 2nd pair right now. The first pair I got lasted me through 3.5 summers of heavy use, which is incredibly impressive. They're super comfortable, sturdy enough for long walks and light hiking, good in water/rain, but also nice-looking enough that I don't feel out of place wearing them at a bar or restaurant. Love the toe protection, too. These are the only sandals I could want or need.
The shoes are great but Duluth customer service is even better. I love these shoes. They are comfy and perfect for walking on a rocky beach or just out walking the dogs. However I somehow developed a hole in the fabric where it pulled away from the rubber. I had bought a color they no longer had but asked to exchange them for another color. Ashley in customer service couldn't have been nicer and Duluth stepped up and exchanged the shoes even though they are not their own brand. I am so impressed with Ashley, the company and their policy.I had left a review when I got my first pair and I love the shoes. I will continue to shop at Duluth Trading Co because of the great quality and exceptional service.
People wrote good review for it but it sadly didn't fit my feet. I guess my feet are too wide (it is too tight) and the solo looks like it has good support but it ended up giving me foot pain after each wear (of 3 times). Problem is it looks nice and comfy an when tired on it felt okay till I walked around in it for a few hours. But even putting it on was feeling tight, so end of day I had strain feet bottoms and lack of blood flow (red). Good if you have narrow and good arched feet and Idk well lined toes. Sadly I throw the box out : (
A little over a year ago, I was having a lot of problems with my hip. As an active woman in her early 50's, it was disheartening not to be able to do things that I used to. I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis. An orthopedic surgeon suggested a hip replacement. I'm glad I declined. Shortly after that visit, I went to a podiatrist to address a painful callus on the bottom of one foot. Apparently, I also have hammer toes that were allowing my foot to roll over slightly to one side. This was the source to why I experienced inflammation in my osteoarthritic hip. My foot wasn't connecting with the ground properly while I exercised. He also suggested surgery to correct my toes, but I declined. He also told me something else that led the way to me purchasing Keen shoes. He told me that the shoes that I was wearing at the visit were absolutely wrong for my condition. To make a long story short, I live in Keen footwear now. The sandals, shoes and midiboots have made a powerful positive impact in my life. I give them credit for helping me regain better alignment. The structure, support and comfort of these shoes have made me a loyal customer of Keen shoes. I can run again, without that nagging inflammation in my hip! Thank you Duluth and Keen footwear!
