For the price, it's in amazing speaker. What I loved the most about them is the sound that is not fatiguing for a whole day listening while working from home a my desktop setup. Very soft and clear. I had to return them because I decided to level up for B&W 705 that are 6 times the cost of the KEF where I got more clarity. My prev. speakers were Def. Tech Studio Monitor 450. KEF sounded softer and not tiring. I would also add that the KEF is base heavy in comparison to reference speakers.

The speakers are very good, end of the story. There’s not really anything to complain about, other than the suggested price. They to go on sale a few times a year, and thus I would recommend waiting until they go on sale to maximize the value you’re getting here.Overall, the Q350 bookshelf by KEF is a fantastic speaker if you value clarity, and amazing soundstage, and spatial sound overall. These are not going to be the greatest speakers for face lovers, as the low-end is not the greatest, and if you prefer a warm sound these are also probably not going to sound the best to your ears, as the sound isIs very true to life.I also believe this speaker is it shine more in audio setups with higher quality audio files really bringing out the sound, but you also will ... MoreThe speakers are very good, end of the story. There’s not really anything to complain about, other than the suggested price. All music types sounded great and I seriously have no complaints in that regard. I have mine paired with a decent subwoofer and that really helps even out the sound. One thing to note is that these are heavy speakers and their larger than your standard bookshelf if you’re used to a smaller cabinet. On the other hand, these speakers look amazing, especially if you have a more modern or BoHo-styled room. The style of sound reproduction definitely takes a little getting used to depending on what speakers are coming from, but I found that after a week of listening to my ears could really tell the difference of what a clear, detailed, and concise soundstage would represent when driven at the right volume and amp.My only real complaint about the speakers, if there is one and I’m kind of just digging here, is that they lack in the home theater/movie department. This isn’t to say they’re bad just with their base response they can leave a little bit lacking at times.I’m not an audiophile by any means, but I have value on my speakers sound like as I love to listen to music and watch movies on my home theater system, and these are by far the best speakers I’ve owned. I’ve used Klipsch, Sony, Polk, and JBL speakers during my journey for the perfect pair, and I feel like I'll be content for quite a while with the KEF Q350.

Loving my new Kef Q350 in Walnut. These are probably my first true audiophile speaker purchase, assuming these are on the low end of that category. They are far superior to my recent purchases of tower loudspeakers, Polk Tsi300 (very nice but just not great) and Klipsch 620F (very nice but a bit too bright for music only) and blow away some vintage speakers I have tried Bose 301 series II and 501's Pioneer CSR 300 and Realistic. Just much cleaner sound and more detail to my ear. These have perfect bass for small to medium office/living room and I don't think a sub is needed unless heavy bass is a must. Love the look without grills and the walnut finish is nice enough for $700 speakers. Perfect set up for my taste, just need to add Cambridge Streamer. Pretty large for bookshelf but no overwhelming and I have on Kanto 32" stands, seems like perfect height for my listening position. Stereo/Music Use: If you are starting your journey as a *discerning* audiophile, these are a pretty good first purchase, especially if this is your first stereo system and/or it's using a mid-fi integrated amplifier/all-in-one receiver setup. Sure, there are better speakers to be had at this price range if you are willing to go used/vintage, and it may behoove you if you have a strong audio stack, but if you're in the former camp, or of course, you're more interesting in building out a Surround system, these are a good call, especially with the supporting channel/speaker options KEF has in this product family. Satisfied with the bookshelf speakers and the matching center channel speaker. However, my experience was disappointing for the following reasons. To the Best Buy sales team: It's important to inform customers that these speakers do not come with grilles, which must be purchased separately. Additionally, please note that KEF does not offer white grilles for white speakers. Also why require consumers to drill through the product listing to find the model number of these speakers? To the KEF product team: Is it too much to ask for a $25 retail-priced grille to be included in a $600 speaker package? To the designers at KEF: If you can't convince your product teams to provide matching grilles in colors other than standard black, perhaps consider limiting the speaker ... MoreSatisfied with the bookshelf speakers and the matching center channel speaker. Upfront reviewer bias: I’ve wanted Kef speakers and a Parasound amp since I was a teen, but they’ve always been “pie in the sky” for me.Man Cave Room Acoustics: 8’x10’ with laminate wood flooring. This is a major check on my bucket list, and sounds great as well. It doesn’t rattle windows, but that’s never been my thing. Really a great sub $1k system.
Bought these speakers for my wife's birthday party, because UPS lost my Monitor Audio Silver 100 amd C350 I ordered from Crutchfield. The only thing these speakers have for them are looks that's about it. Firstly, DO NOT use these KEFs without a competent subwoofer not matter what the measurements say. My daughter and I decided to play Michael Jackson Dirty Diane and I decided to use Pure Direct on my Marantz 8015 to pass room correction and no even close preference -15db. That was the first mistake!!!!! Everything seemed ok, but the treble wasn't there and the bass was bloated and weak, so I turned it up to -10db. The speaker was on the struggle bus, so I said give it a little, so during the song Michael Jackson yelled SHAMOON not lie the drive exploded at -15db in ... MoreBought these speakers for my wife's birthday party, because UPS lost my Monitor Audio Silver 100 amd C350 I ordered from Crutchfield. The speaker was on the struggle bus, so I said give it a little, so during the song Michael Jackson yelled SHAMOON not lie the drive exploded at -15db in Pure Direct. So with that said I had to bring out the big boy SVS Prime Pinnacles for the party. Don't run these in Pure Direct and set them to 100 crossover. Glad I bought Monitor Audio Silver 100 and C350 those things are serious and no sub need at reference. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for the price.
I have owned these now exactly 1 year and I love them! I auditioned the B&W 607-2s expecting to buy them but found them a bit shrill, bright. These KEFs at a slightly lower cost are warmer overall without sacrificing detail. They took a good 50 hours to break-in and sound their best, and their best is very good indeed. Detailed and amazing bass for such small boxes. Not fussy about placement in my 12'X25' listening room but definitely at their best 15-20" out from the wall and on a solid non-resonant base. They excel at female vocals, acoustic music and jazz. Probably not the best choice for most rock or metal music.
I read lots of reviews of bookshelf speakers and was already leaning toward these KEF Q350s when they went on sale at Best Buy. That was enough to get me to take the plunge. The speakers look great, were well packaged, and arrived quickly. I have to say though that I was a bit underwhelmed by the quality of sound when I first hooked them up, but after several weeks of gentle playing they have opened up nicely and sound quite good. I play a variety of music, 60s rock, classical, and easy-listening vocals and am pleased with how they all come across on the KEFs. As others have noted, the KEF sound stage is remarkable - Johnny Mathis sounds like he's standing in my living room and Ronstadt's voice is as beautiful and powerful as you would expect. As others have noted, the KEF sound stage is remarkable - Johnny Mathis sounds like he's standing in my living room and Ronstadt's voice is as beautiful and powerful as you would expect. Likewise, Karajan's Beethoven symphonies are clear and expansive. And the Beatles, Righteous Brothers, and Supremes sound dandy. I believe a quality amp putting out say 100 watts per channel would allow you to get the most out of these KEFs, even if you play only at low volume levels. But if you have a smaller room and play at reasonable volume levels you can get by with half that. I have the KEFs on 24-inch Pangea stands by the way and that puts the tweeters at close to ear level when seated. Although bookshelf speakers, these KEFs are fairly large so place them on solid stands or a table top. The speakers look striking without the optional grill covers and you can certainly run them that way. I bought the covers too and like that more classic look.
Lost the moment UPS got their hands on it. BB told me to wait and see what happens. I waited and guess what, still lost. Now that I waited, instead of 400 dollars its 600 dollars. I wanted a replacement and best they can do is give a refund. Beware of buying open box excellent from best buy. If your package comes from Aurora Colorado good luck. Investigate Aurora Colorado UPS facility. How good are the speakers you ask? Wouldn't know.
