These bars will probably look and taste very familiar to you –they have been around since the nineties. They taste OK – they are moist and soft and sweet, but they have a factory-engineered texture and acidic aftertaste that give away their highly-processed nature. They are not awful by any means – it’s just that there are bars out there now that are tastier, healthier, and more environmentally/socially responsible. Nutri Grain bars are too heavily processed, too artificial, and offer few nutritional benefits - you could argue that not a million miles from Kellogg’s Pop Tarts (but at least they don’t contain the high fructose corn syrup, palm oil, THBQ and gelatin that Pop Tarts do).In terms of nutrition, each 37 gram bar provides 24 grams of carbs (12 g of which ... MoreThese bars will probably look and taste very familiar to you –they have been around since the nineties. Nutri Grain bars are too heavily processed, too artificial, and offer few nutritional benefits - you could argue that not a million miles from Kellogg’s Pop Tarts (but at least they don’t contain the high fructose corn syrup, palm oil, THBQ and gelatin that Pop Tarts do).In terms of nutrition, each 37 gram bar provides 24 grams of carbs (12 g of which are sugars) and just 2 grams of protein. So it’s very carb-heavy, although this is compensated for a little bit by containing 3 g (10% of your daily value) of fiber. The filling is mainly sugar in various forms; they divided the ingredients into crust and filling, so you may not read as far as the filling part if you’re not vigilant. It does also contain some blueberry puree but also artificial flavors and colors. Although generally listed as safe, one of the dyes, Blue 1, may not be good for people with asthma. Like most Kellogg’s products it contains added vitamins, providing 10-25% of calcium, iron, zinc, and vitamins A, B1, B2, B3 and B6. Overall, in terms of nutrition, it may a little be better than some candy bars but it lags behind most granola/energy bars.Overall, I’m giving them 2/5 gold stars for quality/price and 3/5 “green” stars for social and environmental responsibility. As far as social and environmental responsibility goes, I think Kellogg’s Nutri Grain are about average (hence the 3/5 green stars) – Kellogg’s are doing a little better than some of the other huge multinational food producers, but they are lagging behind some of the more responsible food bar companies, like Clif Bar (who also make Kit’s Organic and Luna). You can get their 2014 Corporate Responsibility Report on their website. They are doing quite well on responsible packaging, diverting waste from landfill, water use, and worker diversity. For example, their numbers on waste generation and water consumption were a little better than those from HAIN (known for their natural food lines). However, they are haven’t made much progress so far this decade on reducing energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. They have a target of 2020 for responsible sourcing of ingredients from rice and corn to cacao and berries. They also have a collaborative system (Sedex, the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange) for making sure suppliers are in compliance. They work with farmers to increase sustainability (e.g., reduced water and fertilizer inputs) and also have programs to empower smallholders and women farmers. On the other hand they did donate a couple of million dollars to campaigns to block labeling of GMO foods. You could also ding them on contributing to sugar-heavy diets over the years, although they are trying to fix this. Overall, I think 3/5 green stars is a fair score, but if they can make more headway on reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and increasing the use of socially and environmentally responsible ingredients they may deserve 4 green stars in future.

I love these mixed berry breakfast bars. They're soft baked and fruity. Made with whole grain oats and real fruit. And they're packed with vitamins and minerals including but not limited to iron, calcium, folic acid and vitamin B. But all I taste is fruit and oats. I've had several different flavors and this one is my favorite. They're quick and easy to just grab and go. I usually eat 2. They smell and taste delicious and I love that they are soft and not crunchy. Perfect for a quick breakfast or a snack. I highly recommend them.

Kellogg’s Nutri Grain bars have been out for some time now. They have plenty of flavors, but strawberry is my favorite. These grain bars only have 130 calories a piece. Whether as an add on for breakfast, a snack, or hiking treat they’ve been helpful. The wrappers are durable yet easy to open. That alone helps when in a go pack. You can get these for a relatively low price. When on sale buy in bulk. I like these with a cup of coffee in the woods. Yes the coffee takes effort with a burner, but these are ready to be eaten. A lot of scout trips with my son I bring these, as young ones get hungry unexpectedly. One or two, can be helpful. These taste very good, as I like their sweet flavor.

Did they stop making the plain Blueberry ones? These are full of sugar, but I guess it’s a better choice than pop tarts. It’s hard to find low sugar portable snacks these days that are affordable. It’s filled with “junk” ingredients but IS tasty! - ALSO people this is NOT where you complain about deliveries- these reviews are to help us decide if a product is good or worth trying %26 those complaining about delivery are messing stats up. There is a separate place to complain to %26 review Walmart. Walmart is not going to read product reviews especially not your local Walmart store SMH

We buy an INSANE amount of nutrigrain bars. I have 4 young kids (16m - 8y/o) and a 22y/o who all love these bars. On any given grocery shop, I walk out with a minimum of 6 boxes!! No joke! They all have their favourite flavour, but will willingly eat any flavour available. Blueberry is my daughter's favourite. I usually keep a box or two in each vehicle, in case we're out an someone gets hangry
If I didn't see the box myself there's no way I'd believe the flavor of these is "blueberry and beet." Beet? Really? Getting veggies to kids who don't take to them kindly is really important and being able to hide a little bit of them in something they'll happily eat is amazing. Just as good as any regular nutri-grain bar, soft and yummy, my littles didn't even know! I thought they were pretty good myself. Definitely worth trying out! Maybe especially if you already like nutri-grain bars!
I have been buying these for years, they seem to have shrunk in size a bit but still a great grab and go snack that's better than candy or junk food. Good for adults and kid's like them too. I keep them on hand in case someone stops by with a child, I want to have something to offer a kid to eat for a treat and they all seem to like them with a cup of milk or hot cocoa. My spouse takes on with him whenever he travels just in case he were to ever be delayed in traffic, etc.. good for backpacks or school lunch box. The cost is reasonable for a good quick snack or fast breakfast if no time to eat.
I recently tried the NutriGrain Fig Bar, and it’s become my go-to snack option. The combination of the soft, chewy texture and the natural sweetness of the fig filling is simply delightful. It’s a convenient way to satisfy my midday cravings without feeling guilty.I appreciate that the bar is individually wrapped, making it easy to toss into my bag or lunchbox. The fact that it’s made with real fruit filling and whole grains gives me a sense of making a healthier choice compared to some other snacks. The flavor balance is spot-on – the sweetness from the figs isn’t overwhelming, and there’s a subtle hint of cinnamon that adds a nice touch. Plus, it’s not overly sticky, so I don’t have to worry about making a mess while enjoying it on the go.
