Kenra Platinum Dry Shampoo by Kenra for Unisex - 5 oz Dry Shampoo

I tried roughly 6 different dry shampoos before learning of Kenra. They all left resudue in my hair, which is hard to do being bright blonde. They also feel gritty and almost like hairspray in your hair. I didn't have any of this with this product. I can go up to 3 days without washing.. maybe more, but i wash every other to every 2 days. My hair is super oily, but this product keeps it from looking gross and dries up the oil. I don't get any residue or sticky feeling. Also Kenra has the best scent!!! I'm in love with their products for that as well.

I love Kenra products and I was hoping to love this too… but I just can’t. For a couple reasons I feel this is a product I won’t be purchasing again. First of all, Kenra products are not exactly the cheapest on the shelf, so for the price, it’s somewhat disappointing. Secondly the smell isn’t the best. One positive quality to note is that it actually does work and it works well. On day two without washing, it managed to soak up any oils in my hair. I have thin, light hair at the moment so any oils make my hair look stringy instantly! This dry shampoo actually worked well. Absolutely LOVE for my fine hair

My hair stylist recommended this to me as we have similar hair types (fine hair, but lots of it). It's the only dry shampoo I've used that actually works, which tends to get very oily the day after washing. I will brush my hair first, shake the can well, and spray in small sections around the crown of my head, always lifting up and spraying into the root. I'll let it sit for about 30 seconds before brushing it through my hair/scalp using my fingers. I can easily go 4-5 days without washing when I use a small amount daily! I've noticed it works the best when I fully style my hair after washing and use over the next several days, but it still works great when I let my hair air dry. I love it, it works and smells great without being too pungent. I have very dark brown hair and when used properly it doesn't leave my hair looking dusty. If you get too close to the hair and it shoots a clump of powder out, that's on you. Although, even when I've done that, if you massage it in a little it starts absorbing oil and the white disappears. After styling I like to finish with the Kenra Silkening Gloss on my ends because they tend to dry out while the roots get oily. Overall, love this dry shampoo.

GREAT BRAND Terrible Product

I used this dry shampoo maybe 5 times before it stopped spraying. I tried to make it work and spray upside down but it only released a very strong hairpray-like scented liquid on my hair. It came out in drips. I purchased it a while back but I don't think that should be a reason for it to stop spraying. Because it's been a while since I purchased it, unfortunately, my $ is going in the trash with that one. I DO love Kenra products and like how they smell, but this one was just not a good one. I love using their fine mist blow dry spray (highly recommend that) and the after blow dry silkening mist as I have long, fine, easily oily hair!

If you can,spray this in and let it sit for awhile. If you are blonde you will love this shampoo because it lightens your hair but it doesn't leave it powdery like other dry shampoos that are white. It doesn't smell weird. This adds volume, put it at the roots and down the middle of your hair. Sometimes, I use a lot at the roots because my blonde hair gets oily. To absorb oil I let it sit and then rub it out a little with my fingers letting it stay on the hair for maximum effect and volume. You don't have to do this. The white doesn't stain your clothes and brushes off easily. I like the fact that I know when I brush out my hair it will look marvelous. I sometimes use this in combination with other dry shampoo products like Klorane or Living Proof. It works great ... MoreIf you can,spray this in and let it sit for awhile. Loved it..but the spray nozzle stopped working.

I was enjoying this product, I would say it is great IF you can get it out. I used about 1/4 of product before the nozzle decided to stop working completely so I have product I can't use. It is not clogged. Just will not come out. Disappointing especially for cost. If I wasn't afraid it would happen again or to others, I would say for sure buy it but I am hesitant.

I really wanted to love this product as much as I love the hair spray. I would not purchase again or recommend. This product made my hair feel dirty and gritty. I have used lots of similar products and this was one did not meet expectations. Definitely buy hair spray and other products of this brand, but leave this on the shelf.

I have dirty blonde thick hair. Bought this because ive liked kenra products in the past.. but wow. This is absolutely terrible. After immediately spraying, it feels crunchy like hairspray. I thought ok, ill leave it sit and then brush it out. It basically disinigrated into little white particles and was impossible to blend in. Looked like dandruff honestly. I thought it was maybe just my hair that day, but ive used it 3 times now and it has never worked.

would not repurchase

I've tried so many dry shampoos and this is the worse one I have tried, hands down. It comes out wet, like hairspray, and then dries white. After rubbing in with fingers & brushing, it still leaves a white cast and leaves behind white flakes. My hair looks like it absorbs the oil, but the feel of my roots after isn't great. It feels heavy and greasy still. I would not recommend this product. I LOVE the Kenra platinum line, so this was a let down.
