This is great. It’s a bit smaller than my original mill, but it’s far easier to assemble. And you get FOUR of them for the price. With lids. So you could store them in the pantry. I’m not sure it could be improved upon.

This is great. It’s a bit smaller than my original mill, but it’s far easier to assemble. And you get FOUR of them for the price. With lids. So you could store them in the pantry. I’m not sure it could be improved upon.
I bought this to replace a Kenwood mini chopper, the second that had broken after quite a lot of use, which I used mainly to make mayonnaise and breadcrumbs (not at the same time, though!). I thought the extra power of the Kenwood Chef would be an improvement on the mini chopper. This is advertised as useful for blending sauces, but trying to make mayonnaise in this is a disaster: you need to keep on removing the jar attachment, removing the lid, and adding a drop of oil at a time, though I did manage in the end, and the result was fine. It's better at making breadcrumbs, though it will only make a small portion at a time, and needs some persuasion with the pulse switch. Pros: Very easy to clean. All parts are detachable and dishwasher safe.The number and quality of jars provided is good.Cons: It’s a bit tricky to fix the attachment onto the machine. At first it it not sit so I actually thought I had the wrong attachment for my chef XL. I had to google a bit to confirm that it was correct and after couple of tries got it to work. Additionally if the jar was upside down it would be more convenient.
I've owned this set for 18 months. The size is not indicative of how much volume you can put in the grinder as it doesn't move the materials around evenly, and therefore grinds unevenly. Ground coffee sticks to the side of the blender, and along the gasket and screw. For an even grind, you have to stop the machine, remove the jar, tamp it on the bench to dislodge the stuck material, shake it to distribute the residual chunks, and start again. You need to do this about 3 times to get an even grind.We bought it for coffee, primarily, which it isn't great at, but we tried it with rice and spices also.With very dry materials like rice, it worked fine, but small quantities only as I didn't want to blunt the blades. Really good quality, weighty and solid. The lids are also solid and make it easy to store extra of whatever youve ground. I now always have a jar of extra freshly ground flaxseeds for the next couple of mornings breakfasts. Grinds them beautifully. Havent yet tried for other spices or nuts yet.

I needed a good strong chopper, this is very strong and versatile with the three jar/lids supplied. The only slight problem I had is that I used it for slightly wet ingredients and so had the slight problem of needing to remove the glass jar and use a spatula to manipulate the ingredients so it could blend all of the product. I would not say it was much of a problem and would be probably better to have been dry in hind sight. The result for me was a fine blended product for my curry paste. I would highly recommend this product, who could beat KENWOOD at the end of the day for durability and longevity in the items they produce.

Useful for dried herbs and sugar if you run out of caster sugar.Cons: Cleaning under the blades is tricky while trying to avoid the chopper blades.Seating the assembled chopper on the miner's attachment bed needs a bit of juggling as the spring loaded mechanism can work against you.
