In a panic to get a new inexpensive mixer. Read many reviews for a range of products The cheaper end of the market reviews all said the same. Flimsy, whisks bent, two many speeds with not enough difference between them. In desperation purchased this. Though recondition felt the brand gave it some starter points ! Well all I can say us its fab ! Sturdy, solid little machine that does everything I need it to. The slight draw back is that the slowest speed may be too fast for a professional. It has 5 speeds, and I would tend to agree with reviews for similar machines. 3 speeds are enough. Slow, medium and fast ! But for me, it's great !

Bought to replace old version which finally stopped working after 20 years. I shalln't know if this version is any good until it has worked for at least 10 years. In the meantime, it does the job well and is comfortable to use. The metal beaters are a pain, clacking on and possibly damaging the mixing bowl. Either plastic beaters or plastic ones as a spare part would be good.

My old Kenwood mixer died after many years. I looked at all the super duper models in branch and they were all very heavy and expensive. This Kenwood is extremely light to hold and has several improvements on my old one. The additional speeds are great so mixing buttercream on the lowest setting does not send up puffs of smoke. There are also additional beaters for heavy duty mixing and/or bread making. I haven't used them yet but will be handy. For the price you simply cannot beat good old Kenwood. A fabulous product at a fabulous price. Thoroughly r3vommemd.

I purchased this product to replace my older Kenwood mixer as one of the beaters has broken. I was surprised to find this model has 5 speeds compared to my original one which only had 3 speeds. When using the slowest speed to start mixing, the flour stays in the bowl rather than over the work surface! It is easy to operate and comfortable to hold. I would recommend this product.
Comfortable to hold and easy to use, this electric whisk comes up trumps! I can now make a cake so easily by putting all the ingredients in a big bowl and whisking to my heart's content. I can whip my cream too afterwards to make a perfect Victoria sponge. The blades are really easy to clean or I put them in the dishwasher. wish I knew about this product, years ago. there are different speeds but I've only used the first one and there's a useful boost button. invest & enjoy :))
I have had this a few weeks now and have put it to the test making several cakes. Previously I was mixing by hand, so this is obviously much less effort. It's easy to set up and use, it stands on end with the beaters in, so you can put it down during use. I like that you can modulate the speed through 5 settings from really quite slow to pretty fast. It handles well and doesn't feel to heavy when held for several minutes at a time. Easy to wash the beaters. I've not used the dough hooks yet. Also can't comment on its longevity since I've not had it for long. Overall, really pleased, reserving 5 stars because I don't know how long it will last (I'd rather not replace frequently in order to minimise waste, rather than cost). For the price, it seems excellent.
Works really good, been baking a bit since i got it about a year now. Only on my modt recent bake last week did i have it going off mid mixing but went back to working after switching off then on again. And i probably bake once or twice a month so wouldnt say i use it a lot. Not sure what the switching off is about because it really does a good job when it works.
This is a robust and compact hand mixer, and is a replacement for one I bought in 2003, which sadly stopped working. It had been used repeatedly and also by a 9 year old ( with supervision) who I have been doing brownie cooking badges with.Easy to use, light to handle, but does a good job. And they are made to last.

Finally found out that it wasn’t in stock after I was almost losing the will to continue. Bought it online and picked it up from a curry’s far from where I live after days of waiting. My advice just cut out the waiting and buy online straight away. I'd like to give 0 starts if possible but not an option. For me this item is utterly useless. It can only be used for 3 mins (heavy mixing) or 6 mins (light) before it has to rest for 15mins. Unbelievable. I've never had a mixer that couldn't keep going for the 10 mins needed to make meringues. Nor have I ever had a mixer that needed to rest ! Speechless. The instruction leaflet in top of the box very clear (photo uploaded) so the mixer never made it out of the box. Unfit for any purpose other than whipping cream as far as I'm concerned. Very annoying that this is not clear in the description before ordering. Yet another return, John Lewis product quality seriously lacking these days.
