I originally purchased a similar Kenwood stereo and it was difficult to see the display. This unit solved that problem. It is very easy to see the display even in direct sunlight. It was very easy to connect to my Kenwood amp which powers two 6X9s and a sub. Everything looks good and works well. I added Sirius XM to it and love it. Happy boating with this stereo.

I originally purchased a similar Kenwood stereo and it was difficult to see the display. This unit solved that problem. It is very easy to see the display even in direct sunlight. This stereo has very poor sound quality. And it is not the speakers. Has very poor volume and very distorted. I have tried 3 different sets of speakers that sound great on other stereos. Kenwood really went down hill on quality.
Sounds great but for a boat to many functions.....hard to be looking at the radio and water
I am a big kenwood fan and this product didn't disappoint me either , lots of features and easy to operate. I installed it on my harley .

Junk product. Kenwood has been known for many years for providing quality products. Features work fine on it, but don't put it in a boat. NOT a marine grade unit. Installed in a pontoon with a plastic marine cover. Within 2 months of sitting at the end of my dock, the unit stopped working. The hassle of getting an RMA from a 3rd party repair company was enough of a challenge, much less only having shipping options to either east coast or west coast on MY $$. After finally hearing back from the 3rd party 'factory repair facility', they tried to tell me I hadn't submitted proper receipt (I had, they found it in the file), then told me *I* needed to call Kenwood to determine if this was a warranty coverage or not. After waiting 2 weeks to hear back from Kenwood, their ... MoreJunk product. Kenwood has been known for many years for providing quality products. I had this installed in my Boat. Very hard to operate. The buttons are hard to see and understand. I like it once I figured out how to use it. Going to try to link up a Bluetooth speaker to it. Hope it goes well.
