Okay so I really wanted to give this hair oil a good long try before writing a review. I am not someone that uses hair oils as part of my typical hair routine but my hair is definitely dry, frizzy, and could use some extra shine. I usually use a coconut or Argan oil, but that’s only every now and then the smell on this definitely smells like mandarins, but to me smells like a hint of sandalwood with it. I have very light, bleached-blonde hair on the mend from damage due to changing hormones and not adapting my bleaching routine. I love Kerastase products and I use two of their oils daily, Ultime L'Huile and Blonde Absolu. I did not think I needed another of their oils, but I was mistaken... the Premier Intensive Shine Repairing Oil fits into my routine perfectly!The Ultime L'Huile is thick, smells incredible, and is a great finishing touch, whereas Blond Absolut is more serum-like and is great used right after washing hair, while still wet. The repairing oil is the only product I've used that has made my hair this soft. I can use it at any time, on wet or dry hair, and I know the repairing is working because my hair is immediately smooth, even after the first use. ... That means it might be more cost-efficient than other hair oils from other brands, which you might need to apply every day, so it runs out faster and ends up being the same cost overall. Because this is one of the best hair oil products I have ever tried, I definitely would purchase it with my own money and I recommend it to others. They did send me this product for review, but my opinions are always my own and I will buy this product a million times over!
I have used the Kerastase hair oil for a few weeks now and I have really enjoyed its benefits for my hair. I have kinky, course hair that is cut short and in layers which I straighten and style with heat tools. My hair definitely needs heavier creams to really moisturize its course nature, but this lightweight oil has definitely infused my hair with shine, and the smell is amazing. One word of caution, play around with when you use this oil. I found that when I used it before I heat styled my hair, it affected the effectiveness of my curling iron, my curls weren’t quite right. This oil is so lightweight you can use it every day, however, I find that one vial full is plenty, instead of the suggested two, and I have a lot of hair. I have recently started applying it at night before I put my bonnet on and I wake up with shiny, moisturized hair to start my morning routine. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants some frizz control, lightweight moisture, shine and a great smell! Wow! Just wow! I was given a bottle of Kerastase Premiere Intensive Shine Repairing Oil to try out and give my opinion on. I have never used an oil on my hair before so I was curious to see if I would notice any difference. Initially I was a bit flustered because I had trouble finding directions on the box that were in English. They seemed to have instructions in every other language BUT English so that was frustrating. I had to look up online how much to use and how to use it. That is my ONLY con however. I did my normal shampoo and condition and then I applied just one dropper full of Premiere Intensive Shine Repairing Oil onto the top of my head and worked it all throughout my hair, which is shoulder-length. My normally frizzy hair now had defined curls, my hair looked healthier and shinier and smelled SO GOOD which was a pleasant surprise. I now use it every time I wash my hair and it has become a staple in my beauty routine. I 100% recommend this to everyone, whether you have damaged hair or not. I think it will benefit everyone.
