Keter Factor 6×6 Garden Shed

$2,489.00

(2,971 reviews)

The Keter factor 6x6 garden shed provides a medium size outdoor storage solution for the garden - ideal for everything from garden tools and equipment to furniture, bicycles and ladders. Wide-opening double doors provide convenient access to contents, while an integral window (which can be located on either side of the shed) and skylight provide ample access for natural light. There are also air vents to enable air circulation, as well as prevent condensation and build-up of moisture. The 6 x 6 comes complete with two shelves and brackets, while a heavy-duty floor helps to keep wet weather and unwanted pests out. The shed is also designed to be secured with a standard padlock (not included) for peace of mind. Manufactured in durable, weather-resistant resin with steel reinforcement, the factor 6 x 6 is designed to be virtually maintenance and fade-free. Just an occasional light wash is all that is required to keep it looking like new. The factor 6 x 6 is designed for self-assembly with a limited knowledge of DIY skills. The project requires two people, with standard tools that include screwdrivers and stepladders.

So far so good. I tried putting it together myself. I ended up hiring someone to complete it. It must be level for it to snap together properly. I think this is the third summer. Serves its purpose. Matches the house. I decorate around it. Has remained dry so far. The ceiling and window light up as if there were electric. Not at night of course. I’ve received compliments on it actually. We have lived here 24 years and this is the first storage shed we have bought for this property. It’s a good size. I have three lawnmowers, chainsaw, huge backpack leaf blower and gas can. I also have things on the two shelves provided. Appears to be sturdy. It has withstood the wind we get. After looking at other sheds, this is also well priced.

First thing was the design/build of the base, as this was going on an almost-flat lawn. No where is the actual floor dimensions of this beast, and I wanted the floor just a few mm larger than the shed (to help drainage). So out came the floor bits... scattered through the 3 x 70Kg boxes lol.One day to build the floor. 6 hours for my partner and I to build the shed. I did use an electric screwdriver - essential, as long as you don't over-toque the screws. She was getting the next bits ready and showing me the assembly diagram (not step by step instructions but a series of diagrams) while I was assembling/screwing the thing together. The roof panels needed patience and a coffee-break and was def the hardest bit but we didn't break anything.Very water-tight. Good shed when built but I would like to see the instructions made a little clearer or a crash course in Korean included in the price. Some of the panels which the instructions say "click" into place don't, you need to be a little forceful to get them anywhere near. Make sure your surface is level or that will also cause problems. I built this by myself in about 6 hours which I didn't think was too bad. When you receive the 2 boxes make sure you lie them flat as the weight (partially box 1) is so heavy it will damage the panels inside if put on end. The instructions say to make sure you have space all around shed when building but don't worry too much about the back. Two foot either side will also be fine to secure the roof as the main work is done from the inside. ... MoreGood shed when built but I would like to see the instructions made a little clearer or a crash course in Korean included in the price. Easier than expected 8x8 shed Assembly.
15 July 2023

We bought this shed about a month ago and it was delivered within 5 days of order, much sooner than anticipated. It was delivered by a 3rd party logistics who were most helpful helping to position the heavy boxes. We laid out all the parts out in the garden and went over the checklist. It was relatively simple to assemble with the click in and twist locks, a little tricky with gusts of wind but we got there in the end. It is possible to assemble by yourself but 2 people is best. The amount of light let in is great, the peak of the roof looks like a strip light inside.I placed this onto a 3mtr x 3mtr slab stone foundation surface which I previously laid for this project, this allowed me to be able to drill through the suggested floor holes and secure the shed with ... MoreWe bought this shed about a month ago and it was delivered within 5 days of order, much sooner than anticipated. Maintenance free and really does fit in well with our garden wall and fence.Overall were very happy with the product and highly recommend this product to anyone wanting a nice looking maintenance free, quality premium shed.

Delivery - Managed by Keter via their courier. You will be told its a kerbside delivery, but if you're lucky like us, the drivers will drop it off on your property. Big relief for us as the parcels are really heavy and the poly strapping around the cardboard is not great for grip. Two boxes arrive. One of ours was almost coming apart from the weight. On unboxing we had a small snapped piece of plastic that to this day I don't know where it came from, a slightly warped corner soffit I managed to fit in place and 2 roof corner fixings that snapped off, and one roof panel was slightly squashed one side and an apex that had a slight bend. I contact Keter 10 days ago and had no reply still. On day 3 I just carried on with the build. Most of the issues in the pack I think ... MoreDelivery - Managed by Keter via their courier. I contact Keter 10 days ago and had no reply still. On day 3 I just carried on with the build. Most of the issues in the pack I think stem from overloading the parcel. I'd have said 3 to 4 boxes would help.Base - Our base was MOT, then sand that had been wackerplated and levelled by our landscaper, and artificial grass as the final layer. Keter confirmed this was okay as we'd given assurances water running off the shed would drain and not pool.Assembley - I managed to fit the whole shed together in about 4-6 hrs on my own with just some help for pushing the roof down whilst I drilling upwards from the inside.Post assembley - the shed looks grey/beige rather than the brown/beige I ordered. Happy with that as grey was out of stock and was the one I wanted. There are minor defects in some places but non are show-stoppers. There is a slight discolouration on the doors as if they've been treated with some chemical but minor cosmetic thing for me. We put our shed in a corner but built away from the corner first. After assembly 3 men were needed to move it into the corner as artificial grass pile direction created a resistance. It's really heavy to the point where a galeforce storm wouldn't move it even if empty!Overall at it's RRP it's a fair deal. However if the price is above RRP due to supply chains and you have a defect it's hard to get hold of Keter. So shop smart for low price before you jump in and be prepared for a few issues with defects.

Great Shed - Easy to Assemble
26 October 2022

I'm not a handy person and this is the first project that I have worked on in years. I was able to build the shed on my own at night with just a flashlight over three nights. I did not need a second person to set it up but that would certainly have been handy. I think you need to look at the digital as well as the physical manual for complete instructions on assembly. Take your time and select the parts one by one and you will have it built in no time. One flange on the roof broke as the moulding was too thin. I still used it but this could be an improvement. Anyway, the shed looks great assembled and is quite spacious inside. I would recommend this product!

Keter FACTOR Garden shed about 8 feet by six feet.
23 October 2022

The shed kit came in two large boxes which it took two men to lift. The parts were shared between the two boxes in no logical order and the instruction book was last thing to be found. Unfortunately it rained on the boxes which became soggy but it it did not really matter. The parts were not all numbered and I was not familiar with the handling of this kind of plastic, so I was slow to learn. Much of it was logical, but as the plastic is tough but not always rigid it required considerable strength to assemble. I could do parts of it, but being old and infirm a friend took over and did most of the awkward work. Surprisingly, with a lot of wiggling and twisting it all went together. I particularly wanted the doors on the wide side so am quite satisfied. I tried to register it but the telephone took too long, so this did not get done,.I never recommend anything to a friend or any one else. - so do not ask such a stupid question.

Keter doesn't worth the price. Go for Lifetime.
3 September 2023

The Keter shed's quality is horrible. I bought a Lifetime one and a Keter one. Both prices are very close. Lifetime is bigger in size. So I expectes Keter at least meets Lifetime's quality. What I received was terrible & horrible. Compare with Lifetime, Keter sheets feel like paper. The hinges and pins are also very bad quality. They whole thing is just frigile like egg shells. They asked for $1300. I'd say they worth $200 (to cover the plastic cost). DO NOT BUY AT THEIR PRICE. SUCH RIP OFF.

Not sure about the sturdiness
31 March 2022

I bought this shed with the impression that all the material would be made of thick/heavy resin/plastic. To my surprise, when I opened the boxes, I discovered not everything was. The wall sections and the roof pieces are made of thinner, corregated pastic. Very flimsy and despite being supported by heavier thickness resin/plastic corner pieces, you could easily kick/punch the thinner pieces out of place with enough force. Same goes for the roof material. Put this shed under a tree in the snow and you run the risk of the roof getting a hole punched through it by a broken branch. Don't put this shed under a tree and the snow build up may cause the roof to collapse (there are aluminum cross supports for the roof, but not enough for the thickness of corregated plastic ... MoreI bought this shed with the impression that all the material would be made of thick/heavy resin/plastic. Not sure how it would hold up in the wind either. I'm not comfortable moving forward putting it together and hoping for the best. I'm returning it ASAP and am going to build a wooden shed. It will cost more, but you can't put a price on piece of mind knowing it will never give me problems like these cheap resin/plastic sheds might.

Poorly Cast
21 June 2023

Maybe Keter switched their manufacturing plant? Maybe the poor casting is a result of Covid taking away seasoned craftspeople. Maybe this just is quality that people accept?. Not me ! Excessive flashing that needed to be cut off, badly fitting pieces, warps in the plastic making holes not align. Poor choice for Roof material. I meant to purchase the “ Fusion “ which my Neighbor has, however in their infinite wisdom, Keter redesigned this small shed, and did a poor job. Honestly I would not recommend this shed at all. Im hoping I can edit this tomorrow and include pictures. What a waste of a thousand dollars. Too late to return it as Its built, and I just had to move forward, with more and more defective flaws. Can’t waste my time to dismantle it ! Don’t bother ... MoreMaybe Keter switched their manufacturing plant? Maybe the poor casting is a result of Covid taking away seasoned craftspeople. I see the other 1 star review is recent too. I suspect the older reviews were from models that where built elsewhere, or had better quality control etc.
