Received the above charger on 10th August and was purchased with the view of charging my lead acid starting battery and lead acid deep cycle battery in my car and a lithium battery in my caravan.To date it charged my lead acid starting battery OK but not the deep cycle battery. The charger was on the 105Ah deep cycle battery for approximately six hours on fast STD mode and was stuck on stage 5 at 14.4V and the status LED was still blinking, so not fully charged in my view. So I disconnected it and measured 15.3V at the battery which settled to 12.7V by the next day. The battery maximum input voltage is 14.4V. I was disappointed that the charger had not finished the fully charged cycle on the unit. I may try charging it again on slow mode to see if it goes through ... This charger is the perfect addition, so far charged 3, 175Ah and 1, 26Ah AGMs. 1, Car battery (from very flat & old to be able to crank a 6 cylinder), 2, 175Ah LiFePO4 Batteries.Loving it, it's KickAss.The only thing is the FAN it's LOUD, but has a quiet function, that lowers the current to the battery, I can put up with the fan to charge the batteries quicker, not quieter.I needed a good charger and found a KickAss Charger.Thank You KickAss.

Charges the batterys good.Cooling fan is a bit noisy & is better on sleep mode - except it then takes ages to charge a 120ahr battery.The shape is also a bit cumbersome to fit in to usual places & still ensure it has adequate ventilation around it.Controls also take a little bit of getting used to.The previous 20 amp battery charger came with two connection leads, ie One set with alligator clips & one set of eyelet terminals to bolt onto batterys.This new one only has alligator clips unfortunately which requires an additional eyelet cable to suit that application.

I've put this in my caravan full time charging my Lithium Batteries x 2 120AMP. It automatically picked the Lithium charge cycle and I had to do nothing. It's in the boot of the caravan. First off I just had ot sitting in the inside metal floor and it seemed to have issues with heat and turned off. So I have fixed it to the metal wall where it will get a lot more air room whilst working. On a trickle charge to maintain the battery. I have my Thetford 3 way fridge running on 12v medium to take charge from the battery bank too. Caravan has been parked up because of covid and I need to finish off setting up the 12V charging system in the boot. As well as rerun lines for 12V devices and lighting, the fridge too, back to the boot. So they can be fused properly. At ... This charger is exactly what I expected from KickAss. Does exactly what is says in the specifications. Quality components and easy to use. I’ve charged 3AGM and a Lithium 120AH battery. The BMS wake mode made it a dream to use. Robust cables and grips allowed for solid connections to battery terminals. Especially for this old bloke with arthritic hands. The LED displays made reading the stages easier on me too. Top shelf product. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I bought this charger to boost on cloudy days if needed but more importantly protect my battery bank from being discharged dangerously low. Our tiny home is fully off grid powered by 3 x 170w panels charging 5 x 120ah batteries through a 40amp mppt solar controller. So far the system is set up and has passed 10 days continuously cloudy and I test run the charger at the end of day 10 to boost for 4 hours. The charger exceeded my expectations taking the battery bank from 12.2v back to over 14.3v over this time charging from a 2kva Honda generator. I also use for keeping property vehicle batteries topped up when not used for extend periods. Great product and easy to set up and use.
Unfortunately will not recharge a dead battery. Need to connect dead battery to one with charge to "fool" the charger into starting the charging process. Then disconnect the battery with charge after a while to continue charging.Also very important to note: I have attempted to charge 2 dead batteries within the first week of having the charger only to find that the safety feature to either trickle charge or completely stop charging DOES NOT WORK when the charging sealed battery starts to overheat and/or leak gas from its seals.I expected more from this charger given this day and age.

It last two months.Short Long story, when I got the charger, the power led light didn't work but the charger led light was on and could charge the battery. kickass gave me a free $50 voucher for compensation but today I can regret it.I paid $199, for one of the most expensive chargers on the market.The power box distributor is not doing ok as well, I had to change the 12v voltmeter because the original stopped working.On the other hand, the water pump (two weeks old) and kickass sticker (two weeks old) are doing great so far.I am in the market again to replace the charger, can you guys provide some tips?The ...
