Similar to the mask this has a clay based formula, but with tiny granules for a gentle exfoliation. I have had no irritation while using and it leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and smooth. This cleanser works wonders on the tiny blackheads that I’ll occasionally get on my nose and minimizes my pores along nose and chin. A great cleanser for when I’m experiencing a hormonal breakout as it helps clear and heal my skin quickly. As for cons, the instructions say it can be used daily and that it’s recommended for all skin types, including those with sensitive skin. I would advise against using twice a day and daily use. When used daily your skin can become dry and over exfoliated. But when used properly it’s a great exfoliating cleanser. Personally, I would only recommend for those who have oily or combination skin. Amazing for Weekly use for Dry Skin

I love this product and i have been using for years and I have dry and sensitive skins so I use it weekly. It instantly makes my skin feel free of impurities and small pimples + brightens amazingly. My boyfriend uses it everyday at night for his very oily skin during the summer and every other day in the winter. His skin is literally pimple free, which was a problem for him in the past. For both, of course makes sense to follow with a good moisturizer, and a serum for me as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Excellent for sensitive skin

I wanted to try this cleanser out after borrowing some Kiehl’s products from a friend. Before using this I was struggling with my skin feeling sensitive, inflamed, and red. I have somewhat dry, highly sensitive skin, but also struggle with blackheads and oiliness on my tzone. It is hard to find cleansers that feel like they clean my skin but don’t irritate my rosacea and dermatitis. After switching to this cleanser my skin is so much better. I noticed it immediately after one use my skin is no longer red and irritated, and these results have continued. My skin feels softer, less hot, more refreshed, and definitely less red, yet still clean. It almost had a cooling effect on my skin. Good cleanser!

I have extremely sensitive skin with rosacea and a very oily t zone that nothing seems to help with. I usually just get the dermatologist recommended drugstore brands that are fragrance free but saw this on sale and decided to try it. I recently stayed with a friend who let me borrow the ultra facial cleanser and really liked it so I figured I have nothing to lose trying this one. After just a couple of days of nightly use I see a big difference in my t zone. It's not shiny all day and I'm not constantly applying powder to the area. I also like that there's no irritating fragrances in it since my skin is so sensitive. It's 'Clearly Corrective' for a good reason

I have combination skin and was acne prone in my teenage years hence i do still have scars and pigmentations. I first tried this product frm my housemate and started seeing a difference in my skin's texture and tone after a few days so I decided to get it! Glad i stumbled upon this cleanser and the exfoliants are not harsh on the skin. It makes my skin smooth, soft and clearer. I also notice that it speeds up the healing process whenever i get breakouts during my menstrual cycles and it will not leave scars. Oh and A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY for this product so it's definitely worth the investment!

Literally unbelievable

I've tried dozens and dozens (and dozens) of facial cleansers for my picky skin. I'm very acne prone at 29-years-old. Most cleansers are too mild and cause breakouts or completely strip/dry out my face.Enter: this cleanser.I was actually shocked at how soft my face feels. I do notice more even skin tone too, but honestly still just getting over the shock of of how clean and soft I'm left feeling. It's wild to me.I could see this being too abrasive for sensitive skin as it's a physical exfoliate, but for me this cleanser earned a loyalist.

Made Eyes Swell

At first I loved this face wash. Don't get me wrong, this did make my skin look nice. However, one day my eye swelled up so badly. And the sweeping lasted for about a week. I thought it to be a weird thing my body was doing. About a month later, my other eye did the same thing. After speaking about it with a coworker, she asked if I changed anything in my routine and I told her I changed face washes. She said to stop using it. To my surprise, I've had no issues since.My partner continued to use the wash as we thought I was having a weird allergic reaction to it (mind you, I don't have any allergies). Then, the same thing happened to his eye. And I'm not talking a little swelling, both of our eyes were almost swollen shut and I am too embarrassed to post a picture. ... MoreAt first I loved this face wash. My most recent and favorite pore cleansing staple

I tried the mask accompaniment maybe a year ago and was indifferent. It did a lot of drying and tightening and that’s about it, other than it was annoying to take off.I’ve had some of the worst acne In My adult life and recently found a regiment after discovering a lot of my problems were due to congestion. About a month ago I discovered the GlamGlow sheet mask-- which is great, except not economical to use on a nightly basis. So back to the drawing board for pore cleansing and decided to give this line another try. For reference I have an oily t-zone, scar easily and experience hyperpigmentation with breakouts.On a nightly basis:I wash my face with a gentle creamy cleanser.Followed by this pore cleanser. Otherwise I use this every other night.Also every other night, I finish my washing with a benzoyl peroxide cleanser.I follow with a lot of hydration immediately after-- Caudalie moisturizing toner, Caudalie hydration and a "double moisturizer".My results? My skin does not dry out due to all the hydration, and my skin is so very clear and my pores feel so very clean due to this pore cleanser.The cleanser is definitely *not* St Ives, but it has a subtle grit to it. It's not very abrasive.I would recommend this pore cleanser hands down. I don't think I'd recommend it be used twice a day, and maybe not every every night -- it is quite drying. But I do think it could have a place in many peoples skin care routines.

I was getting break out really bad from new medications the drunk elephant retinol passini stuff, at first I thought my skin was purging from the retinol. Waited about six weeks of just having these nasty clusters of pimples, breakouts and clogged pores and really bad blackheads that I had never had before. Finally came to realize it was no purging, so I gave up, took it back. Finally found a wash that does exactly what it says. I am beyond happy and would pay $100.00 if I had to. First ever face cleanser that has literally made my face smooth and no more break outs. No more pimples. It makes your face a tad bit dry but get your self a very good moisturizer. I use Clinique purple toner liquid stuff right after the wash and then apply drunk elephant protini moisturizer. please don’t ever discontinue this! Also I rarely put out reviews on products but man, this stuff made a difference!

You will love it! Such a clean feeling!

I’ve used this product for as long as I have been able to afford good facial products. I’m almost 40 so about 15 years or so and I absolutely love it! If I don’t have it and have to use something else to cleanse my face, I just don’t feel like my face is actually clean. My teen daughter also started using it a few years ago and it has helped so much with her teen breakouts. Yes, I was a little worried when the change happened (no longer using plastic beads in it for exfoliation) but Kiehls did what was best for the environment and quite honestly us too as it’s much better for our skin to use a natural exfoliant. I still really love this product and you will too!
