Original Musk by Kiehl's is a Floral Woody Musk fragrance for women and men. Original Musk was launched in 2004. Top notes are Orange Blossom and Bergamot; middle notes are Ylang-Ylang, Lily, Neroli and Rose; base notes are Musk, Tonka Bean and Patchouli.

I bought this for my husband's birthdays based on the reviews, and it was a big winner. I love it so much and I wear it too, we have matching scents now. It feels masculine on him but feminine on me. It has so many levels. Without reading the list of ingredients, I spotted the patchouli first, but my husband doesn't smell that at all. He smells the bergamot. It's earthy and floral and a bit fruity all at the same time. I only changes scents every ~10 years, this is my new scent and I'm so happy I found it. For my husband. đ

Better than I was expecting. extremely versatile, ive been using it mostly every day. The vanilla comes out very pleasing. it is not sharp, it fills the nostrils. Longevity is really good for this kind of fragrance, as is the sillage. it is a timeless smell. If i had to use only one fragrance for every day use it would be this, because it smells great and is versatile. agreeable, but mildly controversial; not something you will smell on a lot of people (poor them)

I purchased the Musk Eau de Toilette spray online from Kiehlâs. I noticed immediately that it did not have its normal aroma. To be sure, I went to the mall to smell it and as expected, it smelled great. I reached out to Kiehlâs customer service to let them know that I received a defective product. Instead of refunding me and allowing me to ship the product back at no cost, they said I could return and pay the shipping or drive 30 minutes away to the store and receive only the purchase price back. So I essentially paid for shipping cost and gas just to return it. This is not acceptable and has shown me that the Kiehlâs doesnât care about their product or their customers.
I am a male and I enjoy colognes featuring musk. i had heard so much about Kiehls that I purchased a bottle. By itself, I find it to be too flowery so I experimented with layering Kiehls with classic old school Jovan Musk Cologne For Men. To my nose, they work wonderfully together and many compliments support the result. Ironic how the two least expensive colognes in my collection combine in a synergistic musky success. Try it.
Stumbled into Kiehlâs at the Houston airport earlier this month and fell in LOVE with this scent. For me, it is the perfect blend of everything I look for in a fragrance â clean, comforting, unisex, long-lasting, but not strong. I love how subtly this fragrance wears, yet I can smell it on my clothes days later. My skin pulls more of the lily note, and I find myself reaching for this everyday. Im so glad I picked up this little gem and will be back for more!
Kiehl's would be lying to claim this product is not reformulated. It's also an insult to the faithful consumers who have purchased this musk over so many years. It does not have the same aroma, it is incredibly faint, and the scent fades tremendously fast. Really sad they allowed such a staple of a product to meet such a demise. Not at all worth the money any longer. Will sadly never purchase what used to be one of my favorite scents again.

It was on sale, so I bought it, expecting the scent to bring back memories.It brought back memories alright, but instead of fond ones, it rekindled memories of cheap Avon perfume, worn by elderly chain smoking women. It smells overly floral, and strongly of alcohol. In fact, upon spraying it, the only thing you can really smell, is alcohol, with an undertone of what I can only really describe as, WD-40.Not sure what they did to this formula, but itâs nothing like it used to be, and I see several other reviewers saying the same thing. It's absurd for the Customer Care Center rep to state in their response below that âthe fragrance has not changedâThere is no other way to explain the performance and aroma issues with each bottle. Either it was reformulated or they are distributing bottles that have been exposed to air and have gone bad. I do love this scent, but want for more when wearing it. I don't know why they don't create a new edp version with better materials/ingredients and charge twice as much for it. People would buy it for sure.
I love musk fragrances. But, this was a disappointment unfortunately because I like products by Kiehls. I applied it and the aroma disappeared. i applied again and (and again a day later) and still could not smell any remnants of the fragrance within a 1/2 hour or so... wahhh! It will sit on my dressing table until I find another. Could it be the bottle I got? maybe, but i can't return because the box it came in has been recycled - so there...
