Interesting idea to have a powder that turns into a scrubby foam but you can't really store it in the shower where I would use it. Also when you add water droplets it sort of poof ups in a little cloud and all over the place, no matter how gentle. But it works really well on shine and makes my skin feel great. I'm guessing the powder form makes it less costly to ship. Also, they need to rethink the bottle to this form factor – come up with something new that let's the powder flow easier.

I ordered the 500ml and this was the first time purchasing it to try, and I have no regrets. I was worried it wouldn't foam as much since it's a gel-based cleanser. But a small, (literally 1/3 of the pump) in a pea sized amount will create enough lather and foam to clean the entire face. It's a soft lather and it feels great on the skin. I use this as a double cleanse during the night, and use this as a sole cleanser in the morning. I normally don't wash my face in the morning with any foam cleansers as they are too drying, but this works. I follow up with the toner and serum infused cream from the calendula line and it's enough to keep my skin feel hydrating.

This variability of this product to make a somewhat abrasive paste versus a clay like cleansing bar is amazing. It is very light and easy to travel with. Cleansing works well removing surface oils preparing your face for further products. Overall a very versatile and effective cleansing preparation solution.

I've been a long time user with calendula face wash, I'm very surprised they finally released a larger portion bottle and have almost used up one already, so I made my purchase for this second bottle.However, when the bottle came in, when I opened the box, it had weird white-ish gel products on it's surface, sticky and smelly. For the sake of it I didn't return it, I just wiped it off with some lysol wipes.It was annoying gross for a brand like Kiehl's sending a loyal customer a product that isn't cleaned properly before inspecting for shipping.
This cleanser goes on great and foams up quite easily. As you're cleansing it feels really nice, refreshing and effective. As someone with normal skin who probably leans slightly to the dry side of things, I did find this to be mildly stripping on some parts of my face, but wouldn't go so far as to say it was fully drying.Knowing that this is meant for normal to oily skin, it's not something I would've picked up for myself but I did get a sample size of it so of course had to try it out.It was good enough to finish the sample (about 3 uses) but not for my skin type to consider purchasing.I'd recommend it for oily skin types only.
I am not a person writes review usually, but this product is amazing, and I felt I should write a review for this. I bought this couple of weeks ago, I had huge large pores. After 2-3 weeks regular use I noticed size of pores got smaller, it’s really unbelievable for me, bcz I tried a lot of skin care products but nothing work for me. This is my first purchase from kiehls, really thankful to kiehls for this amazing product. Now it’s permanently added to my skin care routine.
This cleansing bar is legitimately the HOLY GRAIL for oily skin. This is the first time I've purchased a product specifically for my oily skin and boy oh boy has it done wonders for my skin. Because it is a cleanser and exfoliator all in one, it leaves my skin smooth AND clear! My skin has looked like a porcelain doll ever since I started using it and I don't plan on stopping. Can't believe I just discovered this now!

A few weeks ago, my local Kiehl's store called me up to inform me that they had received 3 500ml bottles. I obviously bought one, and the first thing I noticed was that the new bottle had a strong sweet lemon scent that the original cleanser didn't have -- almost like the smell of Fruit Loops cereal.That got me to glance at the ingredient list, which to my chagrin almost doubled. This cleaning bar had changed my life!! I’ve always used the rare earth face wash for years. But this bar is far superior to the regular wash. This cleansing bar doesn’t dry my skin out like the wash does. I’ve struggled with black heads / sebaceous Filaments, this cleaning bar get rid of them and leaves my face feeling fresh and never tight. I’d recommend this to those with oily skin. I’m surprised this product doesn’t have higher ratings! It’s a new staple and I will certainly re-purchase.
