A good product with misconceptions from Kiehl's

The product itself is alright and does it job as moisturizer. However, it is took a couple of hours for it to settle on my face and leaves a layer of shine. It is thicker and took longer to absorb than the ultra facial cream. I got fool since everywhere on this sight says that the moisturizer is much lighter than the cream version even the online advisor guaranteed me so. I ordered the product closed to the end of lockdown and cannot go to a store to test the cream option. I tested this product before and didn't want anything heavier than that (as im struggling enough with this and trying to find a moisturizer that works during lockdown is not easy). Not until I went to store after lockdown finished, the advisor there told me that this moisturizer has more of an oil base compare to the cream which explain the shine layer on my face after applying. I've since tested the cream and it works so much better and faster and doesn't leave your skin with a shine layer. Now I'm stuck with paying over $125 for this bottle and the hydro-plumming serum and cannot refund it for money to buy the ultra facial cream.

Absolutely love this product

I've used this moisturizer for many, many years. As I've gotten older I've tried anti-aging moisturizers with active ingredients, but they are not always friendly to my dry skin. I've concluded that I will let serums add the active ingredients into my regimen, but this product effectively moisturizes, sites beautifully under makeup, and provides sunscreen. My skin absolutely loves it. I think you need dry skin to appreciate the ultra-facial moisturizer because it is a little oily at first. But it sinks into my skin beautifully after a few minutes. Absolutely love this.

Creamy and hydrating

I have recently tried Kiehl's Ultra Facial Advanced Butter and think it was great. I have farely dry skin in the winter and tend to get eczema on my forehead. This cream was very rich and thick and creamy, which worked great to rehydrate my skin and especially helped sooth the eczema on my forehead. Within about 3 days of using on my face my dry winter skin was much healthier looking and rehydrated. The redness went away as well. I would definitely purchase again and recommend this product to anyone with dry winter skin or just looking for a hydrating face cream

Greasy But Not Moisturising

I have dry, sensitive-prone skin. I bought this moisturiser as an easy, 'no frills' cream to keep in my bathroom cabinet for when my skin needed something more simple than my regular face cream. This product has a clean scent and a light consistency, which is ideal during the summer months. However, I could not overlook the greasy (not dewy!) film which was left on my skin after using the cream. Unfortunately, due to the greasy residue this cream leaves, I won't be repurchasing, instead using up the rest of the product as a body moisturiser!

Great Moisturizer ♥️

I’ve used this for over 10 years. It doesn’t go on greasy or thick. This time the Ultra Facial with Sunscreen was out of stock, so hopefully I can get it later. The only issue I had was when I paid with PayPal. They charged me one amount, and then I got an email saying I was charged an extra penny?! Maybe the first amount was a typo? Anyway whatever the reason was, I love the Ultra Facial Moisturizer without the Sunscreen or with it. Definitely recommend I.

Like it so far

The cream is nice and feels really good. You do not need a lot, so use it sparingly. On the other hand, the bottle, (made of the hard plastic, not soft,) is not so great. If you have any kind of hand problems, ex. arthritis, it is VERY difficult to squeeze, (I feel this should have been included in the description.) The bottle is the reason for the 3 stars. I will have the husband saw off the top so I can scoop it out. If I order this again, I will definitely order in the jar. Nordstrom order form was very easy to use, was packaged very well and I received this within a week!!!

Nothing like Ultra Facial Cream!

I am a big fan of Kiehl's. I have been using their Midnight Recovery Oil and Ultra Facial Cream for years, and I think those are 2 of the better products on the market (I have found nothing that compares). Recently I have tried some of their other products - some I like and others I don't, but none have caused me to think that I was wasting my money/being taken advantage of like UFM has. I figured that if I liked their UFC so much, of course I'd like their UFM. I could not have been more wrong. UFM is nothing like UFC. Kiehl's is clearly banking on the goodwill and success of their UFC to market and sell UFM. That's unless you want a moisturizer that is not absorbed by your face and makes you look sweaty all day. I am so bothered by this gimmick that I am now more likely to walk past the Kiehl's display and pass on those products that I've relied on for years. ((Oh, and by the way, I did NOT receive a free sample of UFM. As much as I tried to change that on this review, I could not. I spent (no, I mean wasted) good money purchasing, get this, a large bottle of UFM. The folks in marketing get kudos for fooling me into buying this product))

Sunscreen + Light Moisturizer = Take my Money

I'm quite the skincare guru, and have done a plethora of independent research into ingredients and products. I truly rave about Kiehl's products; their ingredients are clean, the products really speak for themselves, and i've been using the moisturizer and serums for a couple years now. This sunscreen leaves no whitecast, moisturizes for the everyday use, and doesn't clog my pores with thickness or leave any nasty blackheads/breakouts. I will emphasize this is a lightweight moisturizer; so if you are someone with very dry skin I would consider layering with something a little thicker, but if you have dry/combo this is the one for you.

I really do not understand the bad reviews. This is a great moisturizer with SPF in it. I personally like an all in one product and with 4.2 ounces you get a good value for your money. Not only does this have great ingredients, it is hydrating, sinks into your skin very easily, doesn't leave a white cast, and does not make your eyes burn. My skin glows after applying and it also wears SO well under makeup!! I do not find this sunscreen to be greasy at all. It actually makes me less oily throughout the day compared to the other SPF moisturizer I was using previously. I was using the Cerave AM lotion but wasn't in love with it as it took a lot of TLC to blend in and made my makeup pill. I was recommended this product by a friend and I am so glad I bought this. For those concerned about fragrance I notice a very very slight sunscreen smell but it doesn't bother me and I am someone who is sensitive to scents. This is a chemical sunscreen so some people may be sensitive to that. I am someone who isn't. I prefer chemical sunscreens anyway because they usually do not leave a white cast and are more hydrating. Mineral sunscreens are always too drying for my skin and leave too much of a whitecast.
