I have relied on this product for years and, although it is expensive, have found it to be a huge help to my skin. Moisturizes deeply and instantly! No perfumes! No clogged pores! How about a label to send product bottles in? For several recent orders I have not received product samples, which were always the joy of purchasing Kiehl's. I noticed several reviewers are upset because avobenzone isn’t listed in the full ingredients list, but it is! Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane is avobenzone. It’s the scientific rather than colloquial name, which is common in skincare ingredients lists. Like how you almost never see vitamin e in ingredients lists but often see tocopheryl acetate, or l-ascorbic acid instead of vitamin c. Just wish “informed” consumers would do a little more research before scolding companies for trying to trick them. That being said, I’m torn on moisturizers with spf. They make me feel like I’m making good choices, but since I layer makeup on top and go to work for the day, I don’t reapply them, so am I really doing that much good? I don’t know, but that’s on me. I’m also torn on formulations. Mineral is usually better for my sensitive skin, but can be heavier than I prefer; chemical formulas are nice and light but can sting my eyes. This product does make for a nice a.m. moisturizer for me, especially in the warmer months, and it doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes, so I keep it in the rotation.

I have been using this moisturizer for over 10 years. The large bottle easily lasts me an entire year and I love how well it locks in the moisture in my skin, especially in the dead of winter. I was shocked to see how much the price has gone up in the past year. The price has been about the same ever since I started using it but this time, after 25% off I am paying the equivalent of a full price bottle 1 year ago. That is a crazy price jump!! It may prompt me to find a lower price alternative if the price continues to increase

I have recently tried Kiehl's Ultra Facial Advanced Butter and think it was great. I have farely dry skin in the winter and tend to get eczema on my forehead. This cream was very rich and thick and creamy, which worked great to rehydrate my skin and especially helped sooth the eczema on my forehead. Within about 3 days of using on my face my dry winter skin was much healthier looking and rehydrated. The redness went away as well. I would definitely purchase again and recommend this product to anyone with dry winter skin or just looking for a hydrating face cream
I was truly disappointed with this product and it's packaging. Firstly, I expected this to be more of a lotion. It is much too thick to be a lotion and I need to use much more than I want to. Secondly, the bottle is not soft enough to squeeze to get the product out. And when the cap is totally removed the product is too thick to come out on its own. And lastly, I'm not sure if it is the moisturizer or the combination of the moisturizer and the hyaluronic serum but when I apply the moisturizer there is some stinging. I really am surprised as to these results as your facial wash is amazing. I used to use the regular one and loved it. I'm currently trying the cucumber one for dry skin and I'm not sure about it yet as I still have dry patches. Which is odd as they went ... MoreI was truly disappointed with this product and it's packaging. Firstly, I expected this to be more of a lotion. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a daily moisturizer that is not heavy or greasy. It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth all day long. I've noticed a significant improvement in my skin's texture and overall appearance since using this product. Even on hot and humid days, this moisturizer keeps my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and will continue to use it in my daily skincare routine.
The cream is nice and feels really good. You do not need a lot, so use it sparingly. On the other hand, the bottle, (made of the hard plastic, not soft,) is not so great. If you have any kind of hand problems, ex. arthritis, it is VERY difficult to squeeze, (I feel this should have been included in the description.) The bottle is the reason for the 3 stars. I will have the husband saw off the top so I can scoop it out. If I order this again, I will definitely order in the jar. Nordstrom order form was very easy to use, was packaged very well and I received this within a week!!!
I'm quite the skincare guru, and have done a plethora of independent research into ingredients and products. I truly rave about Kiehl's products; their ingredients are clean, the products really speak for themselves, and i've been using the moisturizer and serums for a couple years now. This sunscreen leaves no whitecast, moisturizes for the everyday use, and doesn't clog my pores with thickness or leave any nasty blackheads/breakouts. I will emphasize this is a lightweight moisturizer; so if you are someone with very dry skin I would consider layering with something a little thicker, but if you have dry/combo this is the one for you.
I’m 52 yrs old. Ive also have oily and severe acne prone skin my whole life but also can have dry tight areas. I LOVE this moisturizer!! It does not break me out at all and absorbs completely on my skin so I can use under makeup and not feel like an oil slick. Also now that I actually don’t break out anymore, people tell me now I have beautiful skin and no wrinkles. Now if I can keep my teen daughter hands off of it. I’ll get her some of her own!
