This is my second purchase of Kilverm and I don't believe my chickens have worms, so it's only precautionary. I only have three silkies so I dose them directly with a syringe, as recommended by my avian vet. That way I know they each get the correct dose. If I put it in their water as suggested on the container my chickens won't drink it, even when they are thirsty and there is no other water available to them.

I used nearly a whole bottle and my 4 chooks did not drink it all so I don't really know if they are wormed now or not and I ended up throwing out a lot as it said to not keep it after 8 hours. Clearer instructions would be good on how much you need for a small number of chooks compared to a larger number or if it makes no difference. #firsttimechookowner

It took 3 days to get the chickens to drink the water with this stuff in it. I pray they all get enough (we have 52 chickens). I am putting apple cider vinegar in their water again now and keeping a close eye on them. We will see.
Kilverm is great for worming my chooks, I opt to add it to porridge using the required quantity of water because I cannot remove their water source. It is easy to administer, the directions are easy to understand and all my chooks remain healthy and parasite free.
I added to the water for two day but one of my chicken is doing a very runny poop. Not sure if it is normal. I notice only one chicken do a poop very different.
I bought a Pekin bantom hen & she was doing this weird swallowing thing, looking through most websites they told me to kill her when I came across the information on your site Dine a chook about Gape worm and decided to give the kilverm a shot. it worked and I now have a happy healthy hen. the administration is easy once you break down the medicating rate that needs to be a little clearer for a backyard flock.
Easy to use and better value to buy the bigger bottle. Still waiting to see if fixes the issue with my chicken who is gaping - fingers crossed!
I used this immediately after all the wet weather (my chooks had been drinking out of muddy puddles and luckily I noticed a worm and did some research) and it works fantastically. I've seen dead worms in the chook droppings, I highly recommend this product.
