King C Gillette Double Edge Safety Razor Blades 10 Pack

Gillette have been making "safety razors" like this for generations. I first learned to shave with one back in the dim and distant sixties. I had recently been using plastic disposables, but I'm so pleased to have returned to this classic item. You won't get a closer shave than this delivers. As I've reached that stage in life where I've very little thatch left anyway, I go for the "Walter White" look and shave my head two or three times a week. This razor is ideal for that. Tried and trusted, and still "the best a man can get". Well pleased.

Great product. However too much of a faff for me. I will be going back to my disposable blades. Purely as I am not a fan of changing the blades. I appreciate that this is not great from a carbon footprint point of view. It does give a good close shave. If hands are wet the handle does slip. Overall good value for money and good quality but not for me. Still give it 5 stars.

I have given up with using the cartridge type raises for a number of years, first having tried a competitors dual edge plastic thing, which I must hasten to add was absolutely awful and was rapidly consigned to the waste paper bin for recycling. I actually was so excited I unwrapped it and decided to have a shave straight away with possibly 2-3 weeks growth on my face. on hindsight I was perhaps being rather brave being my experience with the wpb example, but I needn't have worried with such a large growth it managed to clear all of it, blocking the sink plug and I only managed to nick myself twice and that was probably due to the large growth that I had and the fact that it was a completely unknown razor. overall it could have gone a lot worse I don't think your day could have been much better, I pleasantly surprising experience and one I could recommend especially at the price I picked it up at even at its recommended retail it would seem to be a bargain I'm quite happily plowed through all that growth and is now sitting waiting for the next time which I am more than sure it is capable of performing adequately for several weeks from the one blade. something I don't think my cartridge razor would have been able to managed the shave I perform today, without the use of several cartridges. there's nothing more joyous and finding your razor full of hair and not being able to shave anymore and having to ditch the cartridge, of course with a dual edge blade razor, you only have to loosen the blade give it a rinse and you're ready to rock and roll again. an amazing piece of gear designed many years ago go and I don't think the design can be bettered for reliability, economy. after all some of these newer cartridge style blades which you have to throw away because they become only clogged, but are still sharp have to be consigned to the bin, some of these will contain, the equivalent of several dual edge razors in one cartridge. and now for the score out of 10. 20/10 in summary a lovely crafted piece of engineering based on a traditional design of many years, provide many years of service, while saving you money and the environment!

If you're bored of changing the very expensive heads that last for 2-3 times, going through a spot 3-4 times, tapping it to the sink every second, this is for you. As I read it's purpose is not completely saving your face, but it is just perfect for it. It is quality, sharp, and surprisingly safe to use. One pull, and your skin is like a baby's. One blade, so the hair is much easier to clean from between, and it just feels, and looks great. I wish I'd met with this years ago. Would have been saving money, time, pain, and the environment.

To say my DH was skeptical is an understatement, however now after buying this he will not be going back to disposable shavers. This really is excellent value for money it’s really well weighted and looks far more expensive than it was. He was a bit cautious using it at first but if you take your time confidence in it will improve and it gives a really good shave. I would highly recommend this shaver to anybody it really is excellent value for money I’m sure you will not be disappointed.

Amazing razor

I bought this recently after struggling with shaving and razors for years. All of them gave me acne, razor bumps, cuts, etc. Even with the biggest amount of prep and sterile conditions my skin wouldn’t cooperate. However when I switched to this razor my skin has never been better, I actually look forward to shaving now and can shave more often without my skin reacting. Brilliant razor would definitely recommend for anyone who has thick, corse facial hair like me.

Excellent Razor

I was super excited to receive my King C. Gillette Men’s Safety Razor. If you are anything like me, I know that it’s intimidating to make the switch from a standard razor to a Safety razor. I am absolutely ecstatic that I made the switch. My biggest problem with standard 5-blade razors is that they irritate my skin and I have to make multiple passes with the 5 blades to get a close shave. With the Gillette Safety Razor, my sensitive skin doesn’t really get irritated. The safety blade gives me an extremely close shave after just two passes. All you have to do to install the double sided razor blade is to unscrew the handle, separate the top bracket, insert the razor blade so that the holes line up with the bracket, put the top piece together, and screw the handle back on. After about 5 or 10 seconds, you’re ready to shave! My favorite part about using the Gillette Men’s Safety Razor is that it is much harder to cut yourself with the Gillette Razor than it is with other safety razors. Apart from a gross misuse of the razor, it’s impossible to cut yourself badly. Of course we all get little nicks but the design of the head bracket on the Gillette safety razor makes it so that if you’re holding the razor at the proper angle for shaving (about 45 degree’s) then you get a close shave. If you aren’t holding the razor at the proper angle, Gillette made the head of the razor so that instead of getting a nasty cut with the razor blade, you just rub the smooth metal from the bracket on your face. This reason alone is enough for me to give 5 stars. I love this Razor and it far surpasses the other Safety Razors I have used in the past. I also think that the Gillette Safety Razor would be an excellent starter safety razor because it is difficult to cause injury to yourself with this razor. I would completely recommend this razor to anyone that likes using a safety razor, however I would especially recommend the King C. Gillette Safety Razor to anyone looking to make the switch from a standard razor to a safety razor! The King C. Gillette Safety Razor is now my go-to razor when I shave!

Excellent blades

I have been using Gillette blades for many years (1956 actually!), when they were Gillette Blue, use once and throw away. They were, for me, the best blades then and the silver blues the best now (I assume these King Gillette blades are essetially re-badged silver blues). Sharp but smooth, not as aggressive as Japanese Feathers but with equal or better results. Bear in mind though, that every man is different and what suits me may not suit others. Yes, they are made in Russia in St Pertersburg by ordinary people who don't like the regime any more than we do but have no choice in the matter. As you have seen, protesting leads to prison and even disappearance for ever for some. Great ‘American’ company

Absolutely excellent blades, fine keeping edge. All good. Small print on the box ‘made in Russia’. What? Where? Really? How extraordinary that Gillette should be supporting the economy of a regime that ignores human rights (I could list a dozen more crimes against humanity but my hands a shaking with anger). Come on Gillette time for a rethink.

What a Professional Razor

Absolutely 100 percent amazed by this razor. I've never seen anything so professional and accurate. It does the job properly after using it you would think you have had a shave by a professional. It looks smart with 2 sided blade . You couldn't ask for anything better. All men should have one. Certainly recommend it.
