I've played Skyrim, but this game isn't just an RPG, it also functions as a window to how the 1400s could've looked like. Not to mention all the activities, such as Frakle and potion brewing, one can do. Graphically, along with the mentioned, it rocks!

Great medieval setting, good graphics, plenty to do.

I got this game because I was looking for something similar in style to RDR1 and RDR2 but with a more medieval setting and without fantasy elements like dragons and elves. This game fits the bill. It is first person but has a large open world and after you complete the initial missions, you're free to roam, even though the initial missions do take some time. Also, this game is best for patient players as you don't get anywhere fast. There's plenty to do with quests within quests and such and the map is pretty large so it takes some time to get from one end to another. As with any game, there are room for many improvements but hopefully they will take care of this in other follow-ups. If you are on console, then the lockpicking elements will be frustrating as it will ... MoreI got this game because I was looking for something similar in style to RDR1 and RDR2 but with a more medieval setting and without fantasy elements like dragons and elves. Highly recommended for the historically minded patient player. Happy hunting!

Great port

Played on ps4 a while back and was worried this port wouldnt be very stable due to the switches limitations but its a worthwhile port and just as good as the ps4 version but portable!

I'm surprised this game runs at all

The game itself is good. Very big, great story, characters, and a true sense of realism. The gameplay is the biggest hurdle to get over for new players. I can't exactly explain how the gameplay is, it's something you'd have to really experience on your own to get a feel for the mechanics in place. Your character Henry starts out being bad at pretty much everything, so you have to really learn with him and shape his skills to become a resourceful man and a true knight. Where the game falls on its face is in the graphics department, while the game can run mostly at 30 fps, there are a significant amount of moments where the framerate drops. If you can get over the graphics and hiccups in framerate, then there's a lot of game here for your money with a good progression system and a great story if you're invested.

It's a proper old school rpg !!!! Not for the faint of heart , unless you are interested in getting punished for not understanding it's game mechanics and systems. If you take your time , it's an interesting and amazing story and game !!!! I highly recommend it at any price !!!!

Medieval Simulator

Absolutely love this game. The simulation of climbing onto a horse is very familiar if you’ve ever rode a horse. Overall just a fantastic experience for anyone who loves medieval history.

Review of Kingdom Come: Deliverance - Royal Edition
10 January 2020

Good Points: Immersive medieval set open world game. Have to train to improve skills. The quests are mostly interesting and requires you to think, unlike many games that hand hold you.Improvement Points: The graphics can be a bit glitchy. Mostly impressive, but sometimes slows down or doesn't load sellers pages properly. Overall though worth it

Wish I could like it
15 May 2020

This old style RPG is terribly flawed. After installation, sit through a horrendously long download before you can even play the game. Offered for PS4, programmers knew what the hardware specs were, but you still have to wait forever to load a game, save a game, etc.. Programmers made decisions to make the game more frustrating rather than challenging or enjoyable. Example - bushes that horses can not walk through or climb over, which makes open world exploring, especially at night, impossible. Neither you or your horse can climb out of a shallow stream. Awkward and dismal combat mechanics. The lockpicking and pickpocketing skills are even worse. Pure frustration. Story line has promise, but implementation is terrible. Avoid game at any price.
