Kingston Fury Renegade 2TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD

Material: The came with a lot of dents, hopefully the product itself are working properly. Quality: I watched a lot of reviews before buying this item and a lot of them says positive reviews hopefully when I try this product I experienced what they experienced too Functionality: Haven’t try yet coz Im waiting for my motherboard, I will update my review once my PC setup was completed. 1 terabytes are the new standard for nowadays so if you want a stress free experience to your PC, invest with this product it would be better and nice in long term.

I am pleased to say its working great. I have used the 4TB Fury to install all my games on, making this my main games library. It reads and writes great. Little expensive, However you get what you pay for. Easy like all M.2 drives to install. Use the bios to help install, As it did not show up straight away on my rig, I would recommend buying this one hundred percent. A really great buy, This been my first item from ebuyer as I normally use another well known computer parts center. VERY VERY SATISFIED.

Amazing versitile SSD memory!

I've been using the Kingston fury renegade PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD slim form factor memory for a couple of months now and I'm in love. I fell in love with the first one and now have 2 and third on the way for my PS5! These sleek looking solid state memory drives are so slim they fit in my laptop, yet are strong enough to enhance my gaming PC, and they even work in the PS5! I'm so excited! Streaming has never been faster and smoother, I thought pixelation was just a part of streaming that would never go away but I was wrong! Now that I'm using Kingston fury SSD my games load faster and run smoother, streaming is amazing, and it's easy to install and it looks cool enough for my display gaming system! Beware! Will not fit in normal enclosures!

I bought the 4TB size. The blade has chips on both sides and is extra thick. It will not fit into a standard enclosure! You cannot close the enclosure onto it because the SSD is too thick!I tried it in three different Sabrent enclosure models, USB, Thunderbolt, and Clone drive, and also the OWC Thunderbolt Express.I was unaware of this size difference and it's not in the item description. I feel misled. B&H would not refund my full purchase and insisted on deducting the return shipping cost. NOT happy!

Excellent for a PS5!

Was a bit skeptical about the transfer ratings when I got this for my new PS5... but man, did it blow me away! FO76 (PS4) took right at 1 minute to move from the stock internal drive to this Kingston (~84 GB). The first God of War (PS4) went in 38 seconds (~46GB). Granted this was a new and empty drive, so it will eventually slow down. But that is off to a GREAT start!This was the version with the heat spreader (not the full heatsink). Paired it with the Sabrent PS5 heatsink that replaces the PS5 expansion bay cover. Fits together nice and snug to pull the heat away more efficiently. Amazing combo... well worth the investment!

Fastest card (AT THIS MOMENT) out there.

Many choices out there for a back up SSD card. You probably don't actually need a card as fast as the internal memory on your new computer but here it is, fast as blazes. I chose a 4tb card because I have filled up the earlier hard drives. Good advice is to get bigger than you think you need because you eventually will need it. This one is fast and silent and there is never any pause in your workflow waiting for the disk to spin up. Such a little card for so much memory! Love it.

Great drives.

These are great they are fast. these are a TLC Nvme drive and they seem to be reliable, I've not had them fail unlike some other brands I've tried (Samsung). Or had them ship with wildly different performance over time like other brands. No complaints so fair. I have a few of these and they are the drive I recommend to people. they aren't the cheapest but if you don't want to headache these are probably the best drives around.

I am amazed by your Kingston Renegade PCIe M.2 SSD

I continue to be amazed by the performance of the Kingston Renegade PCIe M.2 SSD 1TB.I have been using NVMe drives for my photo editing on my Ryzen and i9 12900k desktop machines.Next I will purchase your 2TB and 4TB Renegade NVMe drives to use for processing my 100mp PhaseOne and Hasselblad raw images and convert these into TIF files for printing up to 44 inch wide exhibition prints.I also plan on purchasing 128gb of your Fury Renegade DDR5 RGB memory to further improving my editing speed. It also looks great!

Very Fast SSD and Good Upgrade

Kingston FURY Renegade PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD is a top tier and good upgrade to any setup. I thought I had no need for more speed until I found out what real speed can be like. This SSD is definitely fast with up to 7,300MB/s read and 7,000MB/s write and 1,000,000 IOPS . It is 12 times faster than my previous SSD that used the SATA interface and is a noticeable upgrade to my laptop. I have never used a SSD that uses NVME and was eager to try it out with the FURY Renegade to see how different the technology is. I am not sure how much difference the low profile graphene aluminum heat spreader really makes to keep it cool but so far I haven’t experienced any noticeable heating issues. This is a nice benefit though as I have a thin laptop and I do worry about overheating with the decreased air space and flow.It was easy to install with just one screw after sliding one edge into the M.2 PCle slot at an angle. The tricky part was making sure not to drop the screw into the laptop. It was a little scary making sure I didn’t touch anything unnecessarily or press down too hard but it was very simple and not difficult. It just requires being careful.The SSD is packaged inside a plastic blister pack that is sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard glued together. I appreciate that it is relatively environmental packaging with minimal plastic but it is not frustration free. You have to cut open the cardboard and it was hard to figure out the right place to cut it. The blister pack is not sealed or attached. The SSD fell out of the plastic shell as soon as cardboard was cut open. Luckily it was not damaged but I would suggest extreme caution when opening.The SSD does come with Acronis cloning software if you do not have your own software to transfer your data from your old drive. The activation key is printed inside the front portion of cardboard right above the plastic holding the SSD, so be very careful when you open the packaging. I luckily cut right below the activation key. I would suggest cutting the back piece of cardboard to avoid accidentally cutting through the activation key.After installing the Fury Renegade, programs opened and ran a lot faster. Photo and video editing was smoother. Gaming was more enjoyable with less lag time. It was a fast and easy way to upgrade my computer. Such a high level advanced upgrade was not necessary for my set-up but I like that I can also use it in a PS5 and future laptops without being dated for many years. Overall, the Fury Renegade SSD is one of the most advanced and fast SSDs on the market and did not disappoint.
