I've used the device daily until it became relatively full (with approx. 20% free space). It's fast drive, very fast, especially when transferring via USB3.0, but according to Windows it is a mechanical hard drive(?) for being built as an SSD.

I've used the device daily until it became relatively full (with approx. 20% free space). It's fast drive, very fast, especially when transferring via USB3.0, but according to Windows it is a mechanical hard drive(?) for being built as an SSD.
it's a SATA III SSD drive, it works fine, just plug it in.Good price too, and as always, quick safe delivery via DPD.This is the second one of these I've purchased (the other one was to speed up the wife's old laptop), had it a while now, all good, laptop is still as quick as the day I installed it, so got another one for my PC.Kioxia Exceria I believe are Toshiba, a reputable brand name, ok not a Samsung evo, or a Crucial MX500, but a decent drive without the price tag.
Problem - a laptop that wouldn't do system backups, eventually traced to the hard drive. Scan was offering a same size SSD at a very sensible price. Delivery was very fast.The change over was painless - I had a recent system backup on an external drive, just a case of booting from the backup software stick and letting it install the backup system. From delivery to having a working laptop about an hour and a bit. Bonus that the laptop wakes up considerably quicker.
Transformed my 2009 iMac. Replaced the ODD using a SATA caddy with this SSD. Kept the original 1TB HDD (still going strong) for user data and put OS on the SSD. Maccy is a lot happier and runs noticeably cooler when the HDD is not being thrashed continuously.
Much to my supprise this SSD hard drive has brought new life to my old I3 laptop. Standard easy installation, the speed is very close to the advertised speed, for a brand i have never used before and know nothing about that supprised me the most. Gets my seal of approval.
